Winter Lollapalooza

This is the Christmas & New Year Event that lasts three whole weeks!

It consists of three parts, all with different mechanics but all these are already used in other events. There's two event crops, two event drops, two event trees (1 permanent and 1 only duration the event) and two event animal pens (1 permanent and 1 only for the duration of the event).

Candy Cane Calla Time: 5 hours and 30 minutes Gives (2x2): 220 EP Plantable on the 3 main and 3 tropical lands! Every player will get 10 seeds at the beginning of the Event. If you drop under 5 plants the system will check every 5 hours and replenish up to 5 seeds.	Holly Time: 5 hours and 30 minutes Gives (2x2): 220 EP Plantable on the 3 main and 3 tropical lands! Note: You can win some Holly seeds in the Reindeer Express and within the sorting mini-game in the board games of Set 1. There is no booking of replenished seeds!	Ball Ornament You will get these drops when harvesting your 3 main fields from crops, trees, stables and workshops! You have a small chance of receiving 1 x Ball Ornament with each breeding process completed.	Festive Cookies You will get these drops when harvesting your 3 main lands from trees, stables and workshops!

WARNING: The Event crop 2: Holly will not receive new seedings every 5 hours, so be careful not to over use them when filling donations!

Note: the Winter Korean Fir & Winter Cardinal Nest will both dissapear at the end of the event. These need to be harvested to win prizes in Part 2, they are not used in any way and will giver out CCs & EPs at the end of the event

Event 1: Reindeer Express:

The goal is to grow Candy Cane Call crops and get Ball Ornement drops to make donations to open presents on our way up the mountain. It has two sections: Mountain Bottom and Moutain Top.

Candy Apple and Sweet Orange Punch are needed in Part 3 to play some of the mini-games!

Gear Coins will be exchangeable for selected prizes in the Gear Coin Shop where players will find the permanent Korean Fir & its upgrades + Cardinal Nest & its upgrades.

But only one giver for it is won in Part 1, the other three are won in Part 2:

Part 2 only consists at harvesting the Holly event crop, Winter Korean Fir and Winter Cardinal Nest to accumulate them in inventory and unlock prizes:

Part 3:

Part 3 is the most fun part because it's the Game Board Event Mechanic that we all know and love! This time around, new tiles have appeared which lets us play 3 different mini-games also: Jig-Saw Puzzle, Tetris Style Puzzle and Sorting items.

Also there's two sets of board games: 1 needs the Candy Apple (Reindeer, Sheep & Bear) to play it and the other the Sweet Orange Punch (Pig, Rabbit & Mole) - see Part 1: Reindeer Express.

Northy, thank you for compiling all this information into one post for us!

You know I'm in as far as I can go on this farm and SL's. I would try doing this one on the baby farms, too, but right now, I'm as addlepated as I can be and that's probably a bad idea. Too much going on. Trying to keep it all properly sorted, but ugh.

 

Thank you, Northy! This event is extremely involved. I don't like the temp stable and tree aspect of it, but I love the board game and one of the puzzle games, and the holiday designs for the games look so cute. The CR is worth going for, especially being that it has only a 23 hour cooldown ~ so I'm in. Good luck to everyone participating and happy holidays.

Do not forget to use Comfort Fields with super-grow combined with Overall 100%/200%/300% Bonus and the 100% Bonus Crop too. Also make sure you have some free slots for milling the new food to start feeding the Winter Cardinal!

 

Thanks Nordais, I looked at this many times and sort of got it but it is nice to have it all laid out so clearly.

I will defo try to use CFs where possible to get the majority of the main crop done. I will also keep from planting the Holly until I can fill all fields and get the maximum, with those buffs.

I will NOT be doing this event as it seems BP is leaning toward lumping many events together over a longer period of time and for me it is taking the fun out of doing events! Good luck to you all, I hope you enjoy what seems to be the future of Farmerama!

For players who are just starting this: with your five Silver Keys booked, wrap the present in the middle of the Mountain Bottom, it takes less event crop to get to the first Candy Apple! You'll be able to play the board games just a bit faster!

EDIT: There is a second set of givers that can be bought with Trivia Points. They are expensive, but players can compensate not filling steps in Part 2 and probably get one or two...

EDIT 2: Sorry, I just realized that I missed a box to get to the Candy Apple tile, so it's a bit longer to get to it than starting from the bottom.

I will probably start with the first box as I don't think we can go backwards.

I chose path 1,2,5,6,7,8,9,10 (11),31,16,17,18,19 (20),21,33,26,34,30

Then will do rest of the boxes after finishing Mountain top depending how much Candy cane I will be able to grow.

 

Yes, that would be the blue box in the middle of the screen (box 11) of the Mountain Bottom screen. Filling boxes 12 and 13 with the Candy Cane Callas and box 15 with 10 Festive Cookies would unlock the Apple Candy timer on box 15.

I did buy the 2.99$ offer that offers some more winter Korean firs, winter cardinal nests and 5 additionnal Silver Keys.

 

Has every player been awarded a Candy Apple?

Some strange script just turned up on my screen and as if by magic - my first Candy Apple!

Yes @istanboy I just got the candy apple too and wondered if we were already supposed to have gotten it when the event started because my farm has been glitchy this morning. (p.s. I'm making real candy apples right now for a christmas treat for someone lol)

What offer is that? It seems like really good offer, but I only see baskets and none of them offer keys, trees or nests.
