This is a terrible event for the holidays; no matter what I do, it won't end. It's hard to understand which game developer came up with such a awful event. This event will absolutely never end. Please tell them to finish it themselves with just 5 trees and 2 barns. It's awful, disastrous, beyond disastrous. It's also illogical to expect us to spend our holiday time on an event that will never end. It's definitely a money trap. They expect us to buy packages with money and finish it. I've been a Farmerama player for many years and I'm very disappointed. I would have expected a more cheerful and fun event that would be easier to finish for the holidays... This event will definitely never end; the trees and barns are insufficient. Farmerama should give everyone Korean fir, Cardinal nest, event cloud-row and items as compensation at the end of the event...

I was stubborn, still started the event, because the graphics are lovely. No complaints there, but I stil do not have the first 260 christmas balls!

I have a howie in the tree and relocate a howie from field to field wen harvesting and 7 magic trees.
Today I had one field of amaranth, and all the other fields event items, 25balls in total:mad:. I like the word a other player used but that feels to nice.

Now I have 3 fields of amaranth, so lets see wat tomorrow morning brings. If it is the same I am out and will quit this event. Xmas time should be about fun and cheers, not irritations.

The most important box to open with the 260 Ball Ornements is the first one from the bottom of the mountain because it gives you access to the first Silver Key box. The other 2 boxes in that mountain bottom section are not that important: 1 gives out 1 Winter Korean Fir and the other one 1 Winter Cardinal Nest. At this point you should be able to bypass them going up the mountain side and activate the other boxes with timers.

Despite the low drop rate, I really tried to do this event, but it is just too boring.

Board games are fun once, maybe twice.

But this event has become sooooooooooo monotonous, waiting all day for candy apples, playing the same board game over and over. I am BORED of these board games!

The drop rate is so low that I've barely progressed and I'm already tired of the whole thing.

We're not just waiting for candy apples, we're also waiting for silver keys. Candy apples take 10 hours and silver keys take 20 hours. And you need 20 silver keys to reach the summit of the mountain, which takes at least 20 days to complete. You'd need festive cookies to shorten the time, but that's not possible because they drop very rarely. It's a very boring and tiring activity. Just an unnecessary source of stress.

Who cares about the graphics; they are always good - cute - fun etc. I quit this event - I am stuck because of poor ornament drops....of course. Super disappointing. I guess the game team was in a rush so they could spend time with their families!
    On a scale of 1 to 10 - I give this event a Zero :(

I'm overly sad about this event that could have been so good! I love love love the mini games being part of the board, being able to do puzzles and the rest is GREAT. being able to grow the crops on ALL the fields is AMAZING. And unlike some, I really enjoy a longer event. But the mind numbing amount of harvests I've done and STILL WAITING on that first ornament box wrapping is ridiculous. It crushes me. I thought for sure I'd have enough today. Nope. Another day of waiting I guess.

I'm giving up on this one. Too bad. I don't know what the point of the whole thing is and I still haven't received any orange punch for all my efforts. Screw it. I'm out.

Okay I have four farms working thru this event! One just finally got ball ornaments to finish box. One has THREE cardinals stables and about 6 upgrades that I can't use cause I have no base for. The silver key thing is joke. Three every 20 hours! I can't get enough cookies to cut that time down. Therefore it will take two weeks to get enough to continue. Really! I have plenty of crops. Get to play three games of day so there is probably no way I will get enough birds or fir things or enough point to buy cloud row ep items if I can even get the cloud row. I understand it is three week event but really poor about the amount of items needed to get done. I have played for years and do purchase items on occasion but will not be spending any money on the poor event. BP usually does much better. All farms are 250 or above level. Have Howie rows etc.

I pretty much agree with most of the posts - the most annoying thing is the 20 hour wait till you get one lousy key & even if you used the 5 hours festival things it is still a long time to wait. I don't find this to be an enjoyable event at all. More annoying than enjoyable. I am appreciative to the players who set us up with the info we need to play some of these games that Farmerama makes difficult to figure out. I know that I could not play all the games but I'm a glutton for punishment :)

This just feels like such a mean-spirited event. Other than Christmas Day, I have played this event consistently every day. I've been ready and waiting for each harvest, I've harvested multiple times a day, I'm there as soon as each timed box is ready to be harvested, and yet STILL, if my maths is correct, I don't actually have enough time left to get all the keys I need to finish the mountain. I don't know yet if I'll get enough festive cookies to speed up the process and get the keys required. I'm still waiting on one more harvest to get the number of ornaments needed to wrap a box at the bottom of the mountain, and once I do that I still have another 260 ornaments to get for the final box at the bottom of the mountain. The drop rate is abysmal. And what are we supposed to do about it? All of the issues that are arising are from things we can't control. I can't pick the drop rate. I can't make the drops come faster. I can plant other things or put out more stalls and trees but when I do that I lose space to grow the exorbitant number of crops you've required.

I'm unlikely to finish this event, and it's not because I've done anything wrong. I haven't skipped days, I haven't used a bad strategy, I've just been blocked by the fact that no matter what I do, I can't force the drops to come. I get what I get - I get what you decide I can have. And it's preventing me from being able to complete the event. I can't even BUY the keys! With my own money! Not that I should have to, of course.

It's just so mean. It's the holiday season. It's supposed to be a time of kindness and generosity. Instead what we get is an event that is virtually impossible to complete, EVEN when you're committing all of your time to it. And that should absolutely not be required at this time of year.

I like this style of event. I like the graphics. I like the mini games (although they're getting tedious now). I like the concept of working your way up the mountain. But I hate the way you've executed this. And I hate whoever thought this was a good idea.

At almost two weeks into this event, I am one harvest away from the cloud row. I have thrown every bonus at this that I can, using a 100% diamond, trees and animals in my gold, and winning at least one 100% on the wheel each day. I used PF for my cardinals and tree mulch on three full fields of trees and still didn't have enough to speed up all of my boxes each day, had to pick and choose. I can't even think how much SG and SSG I used to get the most of my bonuses. And I'm tired. I'm tired of constantly thinking about when things might be ready. I'm tired of reminding myself to collect my boxes when everything else could be done. I'm tired of not getting anywhere because it took forever to get the keys. Yes, I am almost done. Yes, I will achieve all the goals for cardinals and Korean firs. But it was a slog, and a lot of work, and the very last thing I want to do is to stick it out any longer. I realize that the idea of giving us three weeks to do an event is so that everyone had a chance, even if they "missed a day" - but that still counts on things like 1x1 with CAC and bonuses, and multiple harvests a day. I have been playing for over ten years, and I really enjoy this game, and I didn't want to add my voice to the complainers, but this was just a mean spirited wolf couched in sheep's clothing. it was just another event that could only be done by using extra resources, and on top of it all, there was a need to collect things at specific times or risk not finishing.

When I saw we had three weeks, I thought I could get it over and done with quickly using my resourses. Little did I know you have to do so much waiting. Not sure I will get the cloud row so won't be a happy bunny. I have not had visitors, parties to attend. Just Hubby and little old me so in theory I should be finished. It would be good if we could buy a few things to speed up the whole process.

I felt the same as farmerumf. We too enjoyed a quiet Christmas, just we two, and, as I had enough resources, I thought to make a run at it, finish in a week and then relax to some gentle farming. But no, no amount of SG, SSG or bonus revenues could count for such low drops of the things we really needed - I know we had three weeks but we needed them in the first week! 8)

Having said all that, I AM going to finish, I only have to harvest another 1,500 Winter Firs - I have already harvested 8,000 during two weeks so it should not be difficult. :wuerg: Shame the last item needed for the CR is the last prize here! -.-

We do have another week to collect Punches and Candy Apples to get more prizes from the Shop. I can get three lots of these daily so I should be able to get a good haul. :)

Did I actually enjoy this event? Hard to say: it was frustrating, complicated but it was a challenge. BUT it was not very thoughtful for those with commitments other than farming. That was an awful lot of crops to grow - +100k which can get boring. The drops were appalling: we did have three weeks but the puzzles are the most enjoyable part for the majority of us and it takes so long to get round to them. I must say, I started doing my favourite one, sorting, only to find I was only getting Holly as a prize - which I already had enough of. Once I realised that each puzzle gave a different variety of prize relating to the event requirements, I played the others till I got enough Winter Cardinals and Winter Firs (IMO) to be able to complete the event. This kind of spoiled the puzzles for me. :music:

This rambling is exactly how the event felt, good points, bad points but enough bad points to stop others from participating - despite the availability of new farm items. I personally would probably do it again but I think others may think otherwise. :p
