Moonlight Mania will be open for the next two weeks to let us play the Mahjong type event. There is also some new MM content that will go live during the event that can be seen here.

The only thing we need to do is grow the event crop:

    Pickaxe Bamboo
    [IMG]
    Time: 5 hours
    Gives (2x2): 200 EP
Plantable on the Full Moon field and Mushroom Forest only!

The event itself is not too complicated, but players most use at least 1750 stamina points each of the two week to be sure to get the givers and cloud row.

    Week 1: the givers
    use 1000 Stamina : 1 x Yohoho! (+) giver
    use 1300 Stamina: 1 x Mushroom Mimic (+) giver
    use 1750 Stamina: 1 x Strong Cat (+) giver
use 1950 Stamina: 1 "Piccolo" Wonder Box

    Week 2: the cloud row
    use 1750 Stamina: Cloud Row

Here is a table that shows how much Stamina is needed to use an item or do an action:

    Item/Action:Cost:Stamina:Effect:
    5x Strong Coffee500 Pickaxe Bamboos+ 20 StaminaRefills your Stamina
2 x Sturdy Shovel700 Pickaxe Bamboos- 5 StaminaRemove the selected tile
1 x Climbing Rope500 Pickaxe Bamboos-25 StaminaNeeded to change layers
    1 x TNT1500 Pickaxe Bamboos-----Removes a 3x3 tiles radius where it is used
Pairing tiles------20 StaminaRemoves 2 of the same selected tiles on a board
    Clearing Reward Tile
(Yellow Ribbon on a blue backdrop)
------10 StaminaAdds 1 random lootable reward to you Backpack
Extract items from Backpack------25 StaminaSends the lootable items in your Backpack in your inventory

Each players will get 100 Stamina to try the event. Players will also start the event with a Backpack that will containt 3 empty slots. The backpack can be upgraded by purchasing one upgrade it the Event Shop for 2000 Pickaxe Bamboos. The fully upgraded Backpack has 6 free slots, so 6000 Pickaxe Bamboos are needed for this.

    T
he fully upgraded backpack is not mandatory to have to complete this event, it will only allow players to get more prizes each time they empty their backpack at a cost of -25 Stamina.

The only way to get Stamina will be by purchasing the 5 x Strong Coffees in the Event Shop. Each Strong Coffee gives +20 Stamina, this means:

    Week 1:
    Players start with 100 Stamina
    Week 2:
Players start with the remaining 50 Stamina from Week 1
    Purchase 19 x (5) Strong CoffeePurchase 19 x (5) Strong Coffees
9500 Pickaxe Bamboos needed 9500 Pickaxe Bamboos needed

That means a minimum of 19000 Pickaxe Bamboos are needed for this event just to get enough Stamina to reach each week's goal. If players want to upgrade their backpack, the total amount jumps to 25000 Pickaxes Bamboos. This does not that into account the event crops needed to buy the Climbing Ropes to change layers (500 Pickaxe Baboos each). It would probably mean the event itself can require over 30000 Pickaxe Bamboos.

The cloud row is not that great with its 26h cooldown time, but it does boost MM animal & workshops stalls' production by +1:

Return to Bonewhisper Hollow Magic Stalk Row
    [IMG]
Rewards: 3500 EP x Farm Level, 2000 TEP x Baha level, +1 extra revenue when harvesting "stables" and "workshops" on the fullmoon fields for 10 hours
    Cooldown Time: 26 hours

    Requires the three event items

    Good luck everyone!

Thank you very much, Nordais, for taking time and effort to clarify another complicated event! :inlove:

I'm still not sure if i'm participating because it seems right now too much work for too little fun and prizes. However, it'll go for a

week, so time is on our side.

    Good luck everyone!

Detailed chart as usual = thank you Nordais. Not sure about this one. With a cool down on the cloud row being 26 hours and MM not coming along very often, and then only for a couple of days, I most probably would miss the advantage as I only harvest cloud rows in the morning so the plus 1 would not be giving me much.. Having said that, once I can get my mind working, I will give it a go. Good luck every one, and thank you again Nordais.

Thanks, Nordais, for giving us some idea of how many crops will be needed. ;)

It's a lot of crops but I do like the game Mahjong - though, if I remember correctly, last time I did very badly at this. I am not going to throw everything at it but will grow as many crops as I can and watch what others do to see if I can do better. xD

Edit: Well, it seems I did do this event last time and I seemed to do pretty well, got the TWO CRs but just didn't finish cos some of the quests were just too darned hard!:music:

Thanks, Northy for the great chart and number crunching...phew, that's a lot of crops...I'm also on the fence about this as I want to grow enough crops to mill feed for the M critters. Will see how it goes. I have played Mahjong, but am really not getting the stamina bit. Perhaps it will become more clear when I play. ;)

I honestly dislike the mechanics of this event. It's not hard, it's just, um, "fussy" -- at least it seems that way to me.

That said, I'm in as far as I can go. I'm with meadowcrossing, I also want to grow regular MM crops, animals, etc. So maybe we have to figure out a way to do "some and some"? I revamped my MM fields the last time it was open for an event. I'm growing fewer MM animals now.

So BP developers, if you are reading this: if you're going to continue to give us new (more) things to grow on the MM fields, we need more ROOM (field space) to do so. Juggling/rotating trees, animal pens and workshops is tedious and counterproductive.

Thanks Nordais for the great thread and the numbers crunching! I did skip the last event like this and I will skip this one also!
For me it is not really an event I want to do ....so I will use my time on the MM open lands to grow crops, harvest trees and pens and find a home for the NEW pen and trees I intend to get from Jacks shop! :) Good luck everyone and I hope you all have fun and reach your goals!
I agree with PM23 we really do need more land/room up on the MM fields! I also hope you are feeling better!

I was also wondering how to fit in the new tree and critter - solution, I will try to buy 8 of each and put them in a store house so only 8 plots needed. Haven't done the sums yet but I hope I have enough of the crops! With the new mill, I have been making small amounts of MM animal feed! :music:

Edit: Need a lot more Glowshrooms and then need to get enough tree fruit to make the pen so work in progress! xD

I also not impressed with rewards for this event , Hardly any good rewards comes from lootable for Week 1 and Week 2 as I have several Workshops and Stables Boosters Buffs CRs and Givers that really helps stock up Spook critters and Workshops Therefore I not bother with getting the cloud row

I will only aim get some selective mission rewards , I will have fun to build Hellfire Fir Trees and Ketchup Filling Stations , I have good stock of horror tomatoes in my barn just make some horror tomatoes Feed for New ketchup workshops

I mostly grow spooky crops and spooky fruits, now and then I put out all stables or all workshops to maximise on Stables and workshops Boosters Buffs , Always make sure have enough spooky feeds to do this

Wish you all have fun stocking up your spooky barns and some of this event :wuerg:;):p

Got myself just over 45000 event crops; harvested my flower sprays and Jake o'gifts by acciedent this morning (treacherous harvester)! I'm missing just a few ketchup and I'll be done with the MM FSQ. Two weeks for growing MM crops and mill back some of yjr MM food I had to use today. I just wish I could have used the cloud row as of today tho...

That's awesome with the crops, Northy! I forgot about the Jackos! For those doing the Season, we can exchange 9 tokens in the Season shop that gives +1 crops for an hour effective at time of exchange.

I have a question. I uncovered the rope tile in the game, so do I still need to buy the rope in the shop? Have 7 trees and two workshops and waiting for the crop harvest to place the workshop. Wishing everyone participating success with their goals :)

Thanks Northy! I don't know why BP couldn't use the event field for this event - just make it spooky and adjust the requirements.
I am skipping the event. Will spend time growing crops, trees, and animals ++++
    Happy MMMMMMining xD

Wow, Northy. Sounds like you've got this event sorted! Well done you! :D

Me, I am at a mere 5,000 crops but I am not too concerned ... if I don't get enough after the first week, I can start upping the ante! :music:

The wheel has been very, very, very generous and I have grown more than enough crops so now will have a strong coffee and decide my next move. Slow but sure should win all the prizes.

Yes Meadow, you need to use a rope to go down to the next layer. For that you need to find that tile with the rope drawing, which you already did.

I've also enjoyed a generous wheel and combined with some stockpiled SG, have made good progress. I'm pleased for this jump start so I can also work on new MM content. New trees in arboretum and workshops in manufactory.

Wishing you all the best in your goals. :)

@Nordais , thanks, Northy...I got the rope and dropped down a level and uncovered another rope drawing...I got lucky and had a few +1 from the wheel and used my forgotten jacko and am now a few points short of the 1950 for the Piccolo. Once I get that, is there any reason to continue or something to prepare for the next round? I have avoided clicking the gift boxes as I don't want to use stanima to empty the backpack...and, I sure don't want to get the upgrade.

Just want to be sure it's safe to go back to regular farming in the MM world!

Meadow, you have to be sure you have plants enough for next week because we're going to need more 1950 stamina! (by now you must be sleeping xD)

  20. Nordais

    Nordais Forum Demigod

You can still grow crops and get the 19 (5) x Stong Coffees for next week. Using 10 stamina to get the random gifts or the 25 stamina to empty the backpack will count towards the 1950 stamina needed to get the Piccolo Box. As well as the stamina used for digging or using the TNT. There are some prizes associated to that.
