Feedback Farmerama - Game and Features

Re longer BBD (and even HDD from time to time) would be indeed lovely and much appreciated. My time zone and RL circumstances have changed quite a bit since I began playing almost five years ago. This is a wonderful game and the Forum is an awesome place, but as others have expressed it so well, allowing longer periods for certain aspects of the game, benefits everyone and in my humble opinion, a game is just that, 'a game'. And for those of us who have played for some length of time, we play because we enjoy it. If consideration is given more to what will really make people happy rather than gaining more profit, I believe the overall result will be quite positive for everyone.

I would like to express sincere appreciation for the igm feature which now works flawlessly! Kudos to whomever fixed the bug which required me to copy each message before sending. My first message never got sent and if I forgot to copy the message, had to retype and try again...it usually took at least three attempts before the message finally sent. Now, first time and no more copying each message...just type and send and off it goes - magic!

 

I would like to lodge a formal complaint about the timing of recent Happy Discount Days. Since farmers live all around this globe, having an 8 hour HDD that falls from 8 am to 8 p.m. in Germany is lovely for all the farmers in Europe. But, it's horrible timing for those of us living in the Americas - especially the west coast and mountain time zones. For me (Currently in MDT), that event starts at midnight and ends at 8 a.m. So I'm getting up in the middle of the night to breed. Which isn't good because I'm not fully awake and I make stupid mistakes.

My suggestion is that a two hour extension (make it start two hours earlier or end two hours later) would make it more accessible to farmers all over the world no matter what time zone they are in. Or, alternatively, just put HDD on rotating start/stop time...start it two hours later every time - so it might be less convenient for European farmers once in a while, and more convenient for players in other time zones the next time, etc.

I will say that I do appreciate that we at least have advance warning so I can plan to get up in the middle of the night and breed in my semi-functional stupor.

 

PLEASE remove the possibility of getting a Crate O' Neon stables II from the Crate O' Neon Stables III!!! The II crate is much more available and has been for much longer than the III crate, and constantly receiving the 10 stables that are in the II is very frustrating when the other two crates are offered much less frequently. adding in the possibility of getting another of those 10 stables instead of the 6 newer ones in the III just increases frustration.

Event rewards are so cringy
Maybe I should call-it-'quits?'

I now look with a keener eye
at which things that I might try
Reward crates are "pie-in-the-sky"
Disappointment rates are really high!

I've looked at what I might get.
If those points targets are met
It's worse than newspaper getting wet!
This "Kite Season" is the worst one yet!

My money is back in pockets deep.

Gift and Trade, this has been the most boring and showing lack of interest G&T I have seen in the 11 years
I have been here on Farmerama! I don't know what the other forums were like but here on the EN was just sad!
I really HOPE BP will start letting us trade more items that we all are interested in getting and trading!

My G&T event screen is filled with requests for about 4 items: korean fir, cardinal stall, pink factory upgrades and howies. Of course they're offering base apple trees or the crappy fairy giver thingy for it. I'm not wasting time going through the 70+ pages of the same offers over and over and over again. This event boils down to requests for the latest tree/stall only, which is about what we see in the request posts too. BP should think about merging some markets together to expend the pool and mix things up, each iteration of this event brings out the same requests from the same players. We need more variety!

 

I wish G & T would be for newer players....as in ask for orange, red or even pink stables ( for animals that have neons). Also for trees, as I have tons of these, especially XL's and XXL's. I'm sure most of us senior( players farming this game for over 5 years) would love to give to newer or any player items they have plenty of.
This ridiculous asks for the latest items as Nordais stated is not popular b/c most of us just got them.

I hope the Forum is highly advertised to newer players. When I started in 2010, I didn't discover the forum for almost a year. Yes, I'm a numpty.
Our Farmer community is so generous and helpful! I'm still learning new and better ways to play this game from fellow farmers.

 

I agree with all above. Like Brookeham, when I first began playing, I had no idea about the Forum or how to use it. I even committed the most dastardly deed of 'double posting' because I had no idea what that meant, and didn't realize I received warnings about doing it until I was 'banned' for 24 hours! At least in that aspect of the Forum, I became a quick learner

But, I digress and back to G&T...I also would enjoy helping newer players with things that were a huge benefit as a newbie, and which I now have in excess with no easy way of passing along.

Not only are players asking for new/er items, the Season does the same thing. Both of these are unrealistic asks and I am at the point where I just ignore them and move on. Hopefully we (players and BP) continue to work together and improve the game and its myriad aspects. I believe there is something for everyone and have seen many improvements in my almost five years. I sometimes feel recently there are so many things happening at the same time, it is overwhelming for new players. Perhaps that's one of the reasons for the seeming lack of interest in this G&T. It also leads to confusion as to what is needed by a player, and what information other players need to send items (one's correct player information for example).

I often wish it was more easy/straightforward to search for information in the Forum (and locate items on our farms).
