CJ is busy with her studies, she'll be back in regular form as soon as her daughter's school starts and she gets her exams finished.

 

To be honest I was really confuddled when I saw this thread for the first time in the old forum, the first page was all 'let's see who can win' then at the end were people chatting about blueberries and whatnot. I know a lot of people made themselves known on the forum via the LastPost, but I never posted in the old one and this is likely to be my only post in this new one. Who knows?

I'm really sorry to see you go hi! I agree, we had so many good memories of great times and great friends! I do not like change... so I totally understand! Although poppyseed made a copy of the entire Speaker's Corner, she can't repost it on the forum here. And I admit, there are a lot of threads and history that I will miss. It won't ever be the same, but really our friends will always be in our hearts. There is nothing to stop us from starting up a thread to share our favorite memories. (Like when someone posted pictures of people floating down the river in giant pumpkins or us transforming said pumpkins into race cars and zooming around the farm! One of my favorites was when I convinced Claire that I was making a padded room just for her; but was really was installing a Spa complete with a hot tub and padded massage tables!) Poor claire! She ran away before I could unveil my masterpiece!

But I too hope you change your mind and decide to stop by again and let us know how you are! (We will keep the fridge stocked with Mountain Dew just for you!) {{hugs}}

Lol solo... been a bit busy here. Work (two days of meetings) and college both started the day the forum went on-line! Then I had family over yesterday for a birthday party for Jora (15 years old!) It was a wonderful time, but I tell ya, this house just doesn't clean itself! (It's pretty stubborn). Plus I wanted to get an avatar and siggy (working on the second)... And I needed to put out news of my Forum Competition next Saturday (the 6th)!


So I have news!! I have been talking to ct (ctindaldavies) on Facebook and she has promised to stop by sometime! Hoping I am around when she is here! If not you must all give her lots of hugs and love on her from me!!

I miss Ct and haven't talked to her for awhile now! She's the only Australian person I believe I know on Farmerama.

I know what you mean... when you don't keep up with the cleaning it will pile up and become a lot of work at once.
It's like the dust on computers. If you don't clean it every week it will start building up. It could also cause damage to your computer!

 

Hey solo! Me write long posts.... nah! (You must have me confused with someone else!)

We have other aussie farmers... I can think of two of them off the top of my head. yagki2000 and Kaydd2 have both mentioned before that they are from Australia, and I know there are at least a few more out there...

I agree that it's better to clean as you go... if you don't, it gets ground in (thinking of dirt in carpets) and then it's a lot more work to get clean! Plus I like it clean...

Today was a very nice day. I caught a 28 inch Channel Catfish today!

 

Glad to see CJ thought to bring the refreshments by. If anyone sees ct tell her there is cheesecake in the fridge waiting for her.Just a plain one this time, no time to make a fancy one.
I'm glad also that someone thought to reopen this thread here. It is like having a little spot of home in a new universe. I didn't post much in the old forum but always liked to wander through the Last Post and see what was going on.

@epicamizing101 if I'm remembering correctly, it started out in the Games section and kind of metamorphosed into a meeting and socializing place so it got moved to the Gabfest. There were some great parties in there back in the day.
I'm really sorry to have missed hi, a great neighbor that one. I was really sad when hi stopped playing the game and now has stopped visiting the forum as well. We'll miss you hi.

Do you go fishing often?

@Arielh , yeah I go fishing a lot of times but not always for catfish. I normally fish in the stream by me or Lake Francis which is a very nice place. I'll post some pictures.

The place I catch the catfish in is called the Susquehanna river. Now the only problem is, I am fishing right next to a Nuclear Powerplant.
They call it: PP&L Park. It's a park open to the public and pretty popular for picnic and bass fishing. You might think it's a safe place but every visit contains around .002 to .005 radiation. You can test it using a radiation detector for the right amounts. But I live within 50 miles so I still get the extra radiation level which is usually around .002.

The government doesn't post this information in my area but it can be found on the internet. They try not to scare the people.

 

Solo, Congrats on your 2 fish!! I haven't fished in a while but I loved catching catfish. They love to put up a good fight and it's such a reward to finally reel that baby in! Really makes me miss it.

 

solotime the goverment of every country I believe tries to hide important things from the residents....
There is a similar situation here in Greece in an artificial lake that near there is a mining establishment which harms the environment and will destroy the life in the lake and near there. But this is not published anywhere only few know it. I learned it because we went a school trip there and the people who lived there told us about it. They are in a very serious situation because sooner or later they will not be able to live there anymore.

I can't decide whether to be proud or embarrassed to admit that I have, at level 88, just finished the last level of Fluffy Pancakes. It has been so long since I started that one that when the popup popped up listing the prizes, I could not remember what the County Cake was....so I looked it up in my inventory and found out it is an ep giver that gives a whole 20 ep every 5 hours ...so I placed it out on my field and watched it sitting there on my field for a few seconds and.......surprise, a pink elephant in a party hat and a bikini top popped out with one of those little horns with the paper rolled up thingy in its trunk and blew the little horn and scattered confetti and popped back into the cake. I wish I had finished this quest a long time ago when I could really have used the 20 ep the Country Cake would have given me every 5 hours and could have enjoyed the surprise of a pink elephant in a bikini top with a party hat and a horn in its trunk popping out of a cake.
I'm sorry if there are too many smilies but the story needed some jazzing up.
