    @farmer_broke, Yikes, I didn't even say how many millions and you're sad!
    Sorry about that. :wuerg:

    Here's my trick: I enter my paypal email address & password, then BB's just pop into my account!
    I later get an email from paypal saying money was deducted from my account xD

    I bought three powerfeed offers during this event and done very well. It was hard work to rake that 10 million CC in.

    farmer_broke already knows all the needed "tricks" for making CCs without involving any farming. The problem he seems to have is he cannot hold of any CC at hand.

    Bred animals is one of the perfect arenas for buying cheap and selling at high or higher prices. Because, like I said before, most people are clueless about how to price items: they do it regardless of cost -if they produced them- or trends in market -if they are just reselling what they bought-; they tend to follow the average price shown when quoting, which generally guarantees under-pricing; they do the latter because, well, they are clueless. In particular, Baby Boom periods -and their preceding days- are especially ideal for this practice (let's call it "market scavenging"). 1M CCs can be easily made in a day or two by just buying and reselling. But you must know the market, price trends and who are the bidders -if they are always present in market or of the just chance, one time off, kind-. Then, it's like playing go.

    @solotime Ok, I think I've got. So I try and be nice to my farm wife. tlcmom, and see about using the paypal to get BBs. Then I buy power feed. What I get is to really make the CCs, I put out all the chicken pens and feed power feed to the chickens. Right? I think I can talk to the wife. Thanks a bunch. And then I will get one of those millions like you, right? Thanks for your great idea. I'll feed the power feed to the chickens. solotime to the rescue!

    @Arielh What, 800 thousand? WOW If I could just keep 8ccs I would be on my way but 800,000. ouuuuu weeeee! How many breeding monkeys do I need. I wish I could breed skunks and moneys and sell a skunk monkey. I bet you're still teasing me. I don't believe you. You might me trying to fool me. I just don't think you want to tell me.

    @Mr_Grumpy And Mr_Grumpy appears out of nowhere with that growing stuff again. Mr_Grumpy, there is no right or wrong way for me to do things and I am NOT going to be doing that farming stuff. It is just too much for me. Ok, I will try and listen to you. But first I have to put out the water containers so I can have enough water to water my farming stuff. I just can't afford the high price of water right now. But no long term growing stuff. Period! What ah Grump!

    @Aluntino Now I might just be able to be: farmer_broke-The Market Scavenger. I like that for some reason. Are there any specific animals I should look at or just work with price? When do you find the best time to buy for resell is? Have you had any success when listing 100 or large lots of breeding animals? What is the future of those cheap cheap breeding animals? Will the high price of pheromones be reflected in breeding animals anytime soon? Do you maintain any records of purchase prices or just work with your feelings? What is the minimum return I should strive for with a breeding animal?

    Thanks, you have given me something to think about as I learn to hold CCs. My new goal, to be a Market Scavenger. Now I have high aspirations. I hope I am on my way to riches.

    farmer_broke I sold one gorilla monkey and I got 400.000CC the other half I earned them by selling breeding fish and rabbits. I am not teasing you;)
    But now I suggest you an idea of getting CC without farming at all, just imagination:music:

    @farmer_broke, Umm, that would be the wrong idea!! Powerfeed is only worth using to breed your animals and not feed the chickens.
    You can buy animals already done on the market for a good price. Saves you time from having to grow them.

    If you want to make around 3,500,000.

    You need one of the 249 BB offers.
    About 500 animals that you want to breed.
    Now, only breed the first form and never breed them again.
    Example, White sheep turns into brownie, now just sell the brownie.

    farmer_broke,

    I'll answer your main questions pretending you need any advice -either from me or anyone else-. You clearly don't.

    If it's true that you're always broke, then that's the only problem you have and the only advice you need about.

    To play the market as if it were go, especially the bred animals market, you need to build up some wealth and keep it. The bred animals mkt demands the serious player to both have developed the ability to wait for opportunities to either sell or buy (the only way to do that is by keeping some healthy purchasing power at any moment) and understand its specific -altogether different from the rest of the markets- characteristics: typical vs. non-typical bidders, market wreckers -they act like serial killers in mkt from time to time-, market waves, typical prices. My CCs stock is a rollercoaster, almost by definition. But I always keep a floor, a never-to-be-trespassed level. For me, it's around 2.5M CCs. From there to 20M CCs and back it can go in a matter of days/weeks. And if a player seriously wants to play the higher price bred animals markets (depending on animal, whatever beyond 150K CCs), s/he must keep a floor of around 7+M CCs. The floor will also allow you to endure the losses market wreckers will punctually inflict through market flooding. (I've never gone beyond 20M CCs because my playing style, based on optimizing everything all the time and aimed at getting the most EPs, compels me to spend a daily avg of more than 500K CCs, just to keep things going as I like: remember, I'm in one of the shades of grey). It also allows you to put up a fight: bred animals mkts involve some kind of guerrilla-like warfare with some other bidders from time to time. In my case, I very often engage in skirmishes with players that undercut my price very little while adding 10 listings: bred animal mkts need time to take in 10 listed offers; so, I take that as a declaration of war; I wouldn't if it meant only one offer, not 10.

    So, first rule: build up some wealth and refrain from playing havoc with whatever floor level you establish for yourself (I moved that floor upwards with time).

    Now, to your questions:
    * interesting bred animals vary from mkt to mkt; so, all, any or none; it depends on your own mkt specific behaviour; once you learn your own mkt dynamics you'll quickly identify the opportunities; they sometimes are found in one level of one bred animal and not in any other level; some cases specified below;
    * best time to buy is typically early morning, best to sell is at noon -my time -03:00 GMT-, or at night (Asian players, I guess, tend to buy at higher prices and then, in the morning, the European market wreckers arrive); also, for sales, at weekend start: weekend buyers are more abundant and more prone to pay higher prices; of course, for sales, starting some days before a BB and while it's active -prices change dramatically during a BB: you must patrol the mkt then at a higher frequency-; remember: opportunities to buy/sell appear always, at any moment, out of the blue;
    * never ever large lots of bred animals should be listed; large, depending on bred animals level, can even be just over 5 in one single lot;
    * dead cheap bred animals will remain so; they don't present a real opportunity and won't (concretely: all those for which giant stables or cloud rows exist; people misuse their available space by putting out those colossal room wasters and, afterwards, sell the produce); however, they are an opportunity if you do some breeding: it allows you to skip several levels; in waves, these animals create a wash down effect on the upper levels; but, for the purposes of market scavenging, that doesn't matter; beware that they tend to be at 50%/40% the price you can get during BBs in between them; these are the only cases that can bear larger lots bids; not too large, though; I'd say 8/10 should be the maximum;
    * I keep prices levels in memory: it's there where those records are; I've been visiting those mkts almost daily for 2 years now, so, I know very well what the levels are;
    * pheromones don't matter: people are not rational when pricing anything, let alone bred animals -I told you: you give too much credit to players-; anyway, cuckoo breeding has ensured a permanent Pink Jelly flood, which makes the pheromones cost irrelevant -if players were rational at all-;
    * minimum return you should aim at varies; for me, based on amount involved -that is, at risk- and if I'm cleaning-up the bottom of listings (which sometimes means I go for the quick profit; only sometimes) or buying to wait for a better moment to sell, it can range from 5% to 100% or even more.

    Apart from the 7-day offer permanence, you must take into account relationships between two contiguous levels and beyond. The typical normal ratio should sit around 3 (meaning the next level should normally sit at 200% more than the previous one). This does not always mean that, if it is lower, you'll be able to reap a benefit in the future. But, in some cases, it does.

    Let me give you an example currently going on in my mkt. Brown cows (lvl1) are selling at 100/150% more of their typical price of weeks ago (2/3K CCs; now, 6/8, whereas the next immediate level went down from its typical 11/12K to, now, around 8/9. Ratio, then, dropped from 2/4 to 1/1,2. Never seen before. Clearly, this is the moment to sell brown cows and buy white ones. Exactly the same thing happened, this time, with roasters/silkies (normal: 1,8/2,5, 9/10, respectively; these days: 6/8, 7/8; ratio dropped from typical 3,5/5,5 to 0,9/1; unbelievable. In both cases, this weekend I sold around 50/60 of each of them -brown cows/roasters- that I had bought at below 1,6 the roasters, and below 1,9 the brown cows; profits, then, in the order of 300/400%).

    EDIT: Corrections to figures and some grammar above and second thoughts below:

    In my mkt, there are some examples of specific bred animals that can be bought at a lower price and sold not very long afterwards at 100/200% more, very consistently: chimpanzees (<20 --> >30/60); pumpkin turkeys (<40 --> >75/110); flaming steers (<200 --> >300/400); wild boars (<45/50 --> >80/100); cassowaries (<40 --> >70/100); tunnel ostriches (<200 --> >280/350); flying fishes (<25 --> >40/50). There are many other examples, but these are a guide, at least for my mkt.

    ;):pxDHi CC making Peeps......I always constantly Making CC whenever I can...But from Time to Time the markets gets sluggish for good sales or Bargain Buys.....but every now and then you find bargains buys....but to sell them back into the markets needs to get the timing right to ensure they get sold.

    Also you have to consider what events are running while buying and selling in the markets to make cc too....for example it best to buy cheap breeding animals before BB Events starts, older breeding animals tends to stay highly priced, due to less farmers selling that kind of breeding animal.

    But The Newer Breeding Animals Tends to Sell well providing it is a new breeding animal, But Many farmers will have too many surplus breeding animals to sell that keeps the prices down....It the Rarer higher level animals that the cc stay very high, but these older breeding animals do not sell for good cc as much as they use too.

    But the Island Breeding Animals do sell for much more CC, than Normal Breeding Animals due to the Fact, Island Breeding Animals Quests do give Bahm EP to help those who need GBs These are more highly Sort After in the markets.

    The Breeding Animals that sells well are those are needed for Quests, Unlock the beanstalk or to Make Orange or Pink Pens. Those who spend Money to get Power Feeds has the luxury to make lots of cc by selling breeding animals back into the markets

    Sometimes you can get lucky and get lots of cc using few powerfeeds......I am one of those who have over 100 million cc in my barn so i can buy and sell breeding animals using very little PowerFeeds, but at times i do use more more powerfeeds when i get good skips i only breed during BB, get more value for money using your Powerfeeds that way....

    I have been playing the markets for over 3 years now, times have change a bit now in the markets, The Craft Prices is on the decline now that what it use to be, so there is less money to be made here. Also those to make crafts cos more to make then they use to be due to cost of crops and fruits have gone up especially islands crops and fruits.....This also has impact on the profit margins for those into buying and selling as it harder to make good cc like we use too....

    It Only Seems when certain events is due to start and got the FAQ we can actually make lots of cc if you understand where the supply and demands are.

    For Manure example to buy and sell works well when you need to grow an 8hr Event plant, it goes it opposite direction during BB Event when it not worth borthering with Manure in the markets

    I Hope This Make Sense to Newbies or Peers need help to make cc Good Luck

    Not again. I hate to tell Arielh. You already know. Flat broke again with -0- ccs.

    All these wonderful ideas of how to make ccs and I am simply flat broke. What a shame.

    Arielh I did buy a couple of those big monkeys trying to be like you. The first gorilla sold and then I listed and sold the second. My profit was nearly 80k. The second took a couple of days to sell. If that big monkey had come back to my barn I was gonna feed it all the golden bananas it wanted an chase it off.

    I want to listen to Aluntino and Aluntino and play the love animals.

    Tried to be a Market Scavenger and now flat broke again and ..... Well I turned to Market Scum with -0- ccs.

    I better try something else. Can anyone tell me how many markets there are and how to figure my market number? I need a good example to follow. Will somebody help me?

    This is sickening!

    Once I had asked how many markets there are. We don't know that and no one knows their market. You are in the market with players with similar ID.

    You are always broke - but how many BB have you got cos you could (although I would not advise it ;) ) spend 50BB and get an almighty 1000cc. Of course if you are broke in RL too you will not be able to afford the BB in the first place! :D

    @Arielh After I sold the two big monkeys following you, I bought three more of the big apes. Just sold the third gorilla and listed another big monkey! I'm broke right now. You and Aluntino and Mooboy are going to have me in the love animal business. Thanks for not fooling me this time.

    This sure is a lot of monkeying around but better than that growing stuff.

    @farmerumf Now why would you tell me about doing something you do not advise? Why? Can't you see I have enough troubles of my own without your help. I need to watch out for you. And being broke is a serious matter and you poke fun. Are you friends with Arielh by any chance?

    Arielh, guess what? I'm not flat broke at the moment.

    I'm going to sell some tree fruit like solotime suggests I am going to spam the market and do the one-apple-lot-dance. I always wanted to know how a market spammer feels, maybe rich! Why are some apples cheap and others way way over 60 ccs? Are they special apples or something? And the same with walnuts and other tree junk. What is the problem there? I want to price correctly to be rich.

    Wow. Did anything happen to Aluntino? Out of all the wonderful help Aluntino has given to everyone, I have never seen a declaration: "no further help or advice is needed." I know I have been pretty broke lately but ...well... Aluntino I feel like I have now reached an all time low. And you said "It's official."

    If you will send me about 600 pheromone trees I might just feel a little better about myself. Please don't give up on me. I'm trying so hard. boo hooooooo hooooooo

    Thanks for the pheromone too. I want to list and sell it for 875 like the rest of the big wheels and not some 50 -150 CCs as you suggest. That is a special pheromone to me and I will not part with it for some 50-150 ccs. A real keepsake! What is the future price of a pheromone?

    I am really trying to understand this: Why is peanut butter so cheap? Doesn't it two elephants and feed too? One elephant cot more than the peanut butter?

    Whip up some peanut butter and get half the price of the ingredients. Is this right? Is there that much peanut butter in barns?

    Arielh, that big monkey has not sold yet. I wish that gorilla would get lost.

    cya, going shopping.
