I would like to thank all those who worked out all the nitty gritty stuff too. I will set my starter off when I get in from work today and it will finish before I go to work tomorrow afternoon (I hope!). This will be two (very nearly) full four field harvests (yes, I ripped it all out this time on both farms) of Glitter Poppies and two full four field harvests of the Sneezeworts (?). I am sure I have enough buffs on both farms to get the required EP but we shall see (I am a little lazy in the maths department and will leave it to chance!). :p

Oh dear, oh dear, Bhodo ... how many of us can say we have never done that!

I am also a little worried about Teddy - hope all is well with you, Teddy. ;)

Good luck to everybody ... this is going to be a very interesting challenge!

Check once again if I miss anything (hope I won't).
Then go to click my timer & see how much I got from my 1st harvest:)

Then I won 20% EP 1Hr from the Farmwheel. Then activated my 5 Owls, 2 Crows, and 2 Dragons. Then activated the timer.
Then spinning flower decided to spin itself for 14 minutes...

How are your drops coming ?
Getting past step 1 will be a challenge but if the drops aren't plentiful...
I am just worried, until I see how everyone is doing.

    Bhodo, Bhodo, Bhodo,
What are we going to have to do with you ?
First you forget your CAC and now your loading Flowers are acting up ;)xD

I currently have 95. That said, I've taken out my trees (which usually give me quite a few drops) and I'm growing on 2x2s for a bit. Getting to 10 times that amount will be a struggle but I will also convert to 1x1 plots once I finish the first challenge, and rotate around my trophies. Gifts are also helpful, though we can only get a few a day.

    Hello @ all :)

First a heartfelt Thank You to Mir, Aluntino, Mooboy and everyone else for doing the maths and showing us the various approaches to the tasks :inlove:

As my only possibility to take full advantage of fulfilling the timed quest is today and additionally having accumulated a large amount of SG and SSG I decided on the comfort field strategy...
I did not rip out everything, so it wasn´t 169 comfort fields I harvested, more like 150-155 (and no 1x1s)
Started off yesterday by nuking first round of both crops with SG and SSG on 2x2s, then one more round of both crops with SG on 2x2s and while the poppy was still maturing using the rest of the space in 1x1s for Sneezewort with water. Then another round of Poppies on 2x2s with water and SG to get enough crops for the comfort fields.
Planting Poppies overnight on comfort fields with water, SG and SSG (10.14 h without fruit cake/WI, only tree rune active)
Munching down CAC, ZAB, Carrot bread, Easter Marmalade and activating my pets (6 owls, 3 crows and 2 dragons) before harvesting gave me a roaring 53438 EP :D
Now planted Sneezewort with water on 1x1s and task will be fulfilled with next harvest :)

So the comfort field strategy is perfect for those with many pets and good stocks of SG and SSG and not much time on hand or without permanent access to a computer...

Banjo, I wasn´t aware of the comic event coming, so I only had trees, asparagus and cactus on my fields as starters.
Drop count at the moment: 272

Good luck @ all, have a fabulous weekend

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but pineapple cake gives a 25% larger harvest on Baha crops...could help reach that numbers target for players who are a little short. Something to think about...

I have read the FAQ 5 times and still don't understand this part of it, can some kind soul tell me what it means? I understand the first 2 sentences, it's just the last part. Thanks a lot.
"The apprentice sailmaker is removed after the event from the game. Each apprentice sailmaker contained in the inventory is exchanged. A further established apprentice sailmaker will only be exchanged if it breaks off and slides into your inventory. As long as they continue to be produced, the product is immediately converted after harvest."

    -Mir85- Living Forum Legend

We can build a maximum of 3 apprentice sail shops (since we cannot get more than three blueprints).

If you want to finish the event, build three, and donate them in the last step.

The FAQ describes what will happen if you don't finish the event. Then you will be left with up to three apprentice sail shops. As long as they are on your fields you can keep producing windmill sails. The windmill sails will be exchanged for ep and cc (small amounts). If you put the apprentice sail shops in your inventory then after the event they will be exchanged, probably for ep and cc (can't find any info on this).

"A further established apprentice sailmaker will only be exchanged if it breaks off and slides into your inventory."

I think this refers to the apprentice sail shops on your fields, saying you can keep them on your fields even after the event, but when you put it in the inventory it will be exchanged.

"As long as they continue to be produced, the product is immediately converted after harvest."

I think this should be: "As long as you keep producing wind mill sails, the wind mill sails are immediately converted after you harvest them." This refers of course to what happens after the event.

    @josstreater

There will be 2 workshops during this event, the apprentice/trainee sailmaker, which we have to build with blueprints and tools in the city building, producing mill sails (3 apprentice/trainee sailmakers maximum)
And the sailmaker, the final and permanent workshop which we will get as a reward in the last task and which will produce another kind of sails or whatever

You have the option to keep the apprentice sailmakers if you don´t move them back into your inventory. They will continue to produce mill sails as long as they are placed on your fields (if you move them back into inventory they will vanish). But after event end the mill sails you thus produce will be converted to 25 EP and 25 CC immediately after harvesting them.

    Hope this helps :)

Have a great day and good luck! :)

    Mir was faster:D

What so Frustrating about this Event is The English Forum is left in limbo about not getting the Official FAQ Before this event started as We Got a Different Format FAQ this time as to many of us it is not very clear

If you may notice or not that our Lovely Teddybear is AWOL, who have been huge help to us under old Forum and New Oneproviding use with FAQ etc.....I Want to Give Big Thanks to ZeroDegrees who if not mine i did copy of what is required to be able to complete this event and what rewards we can get.....But One Drawback......

At Level 5 you see above we will be rewarded with 3 Mole Sail Factories, which will Permanently Stay in our Barns, But in order to get the 40 X Your Bahamarama Level you need all Three Items in the Cloud Row... Guess What The Middle Item is a Sail Factory as shown

So if we want to Make 3 Party Sails using 3 New Mole Sails Production Pens, we cannot use the New Cloud Row at the Same time giving us 40 x Bahamarama Level

When you have complete Level 2 of This Event you are given 3 Blue Prints

    Requirements to Make Apprentice Sailmaker

    • 1 Blue Print
    • 10 Nails
    • 1 Hammer
    • 5 Woods
    • 1 Mole Feed
    • 5 Hours
    • 100 EP
Each Apprentice Sailmaker takes 5 Hours : Produce 1 x Mill Sail.....As We need a Total of 30 Mill Sails to be able to complete Level 3 and Level 4

When The Event End any Apprentice Sailmaker you make is removed from you Barn. But if you complete Level 5 they are replace with 3 SailMakers/Sail Factory which Produce Party Sails.

Requirement to Make a Party Sail after this EVENT !!!

    • 1 SailMaker Production Pen
    • 2 Moles
    • 1 Mole Feed
    • Production Time 24 Hours
    • 280 EP
    • Produces .....1 Party Sail/Windmill Sail
I hope This Helps to Progress to the Next levels of This Event ;)

To everyone who contributed their planning and math skills, thank you, thank you, thank you. Because of you all, I now understand the event mechanism and am over 17,000EP on my first harvest. I couldn't have done it without you (and probably wouldn't have even tried).
    Happy camper here.

my first harvest is on target 18004 EP
I use 643 plot (@ land hold 1 empty plot for my howie)
I had eat ZAB + EM, CB, 10% tree rune, 20% pet (10 hr cooling time)
eat a PPP to extend everything. For safety, this time I eat 2 CAC, just afraid I may
get tight on the CAC expiry time.
before bed time, I will do one round Sneezewort, then plant Glitter poppy for overnight.
tomorrow, focus on Sneezewort will be all fine.

edit : add drops. My drop at this moment is 260, so far look OK.

Having passed the very first harvest -8 hs-crop- in all my 3 farms, it's time to get my own conclusions on the different approaches I followed in the 3 of them, enriched by what you are all reporting here. I guess there will be some other events like this one in the future, so these conclusions are mainly for bearing them in mind for those coming occasions.

Reports from everyone, with at least some of the basic buffing, range from 17K EPs counted for to the soaring 53,4K EPs Salazar (aka SeverineSnape) achieved, reflecting the vast arc of possible approaches to very different "richness" status of each farm.

My 3 farms stood in the middle (32,5K - 37,2K EPs). The best result was for the poorest of the 3 ones, because that one had the largest unused SG stock, though it has no pets at all (neither the 2nd one, let's call it a "middle class" one, has any). In all of them I used CAC + ZAB/EM/CB.

My main, Aluntino, used the CF (SGed, Suzy-sprayed) approach in only 31 plots -I couldn't afford more- and the rest were 1x1s -up to around 600 total 1x1-equivalent plots-; it has 6 owls, 2 crows and 1 nightmare unicorn pet, all activated at harvest time, that add a combined 90% EP-boost --> it had the lowest but pretty high result (32,5K).

#2, the "middle class" one, got 33K EPs; I used here CFs (SGed, Suzy-sprayed) in 3 of the 4 fields, 1x1s in the rest, around 600 total 1x1-equivalent plots; no pets.

#3, the poorest one, got 37,2K EPs; I used here CFs (SGed, Suzy-sprayed) in all 4 fields, 1x1s in all fringes, around 600 total 1x1-equivalent plots; no pets.

So, I would say the CF approach is good and advisable if you happen to have large SG/Suzy-spray stocks. It's by far the most rewarding under that condition, even if you have no pets. In fact, if you have no pets, this approach helped level the result my poorer farms had as compared to the richer one, with all pets I care to have.

Curiously, at least in my case, the poorer farms, since they still have lots of permanent quests unfinished (with loads of SG/Suzy-spray still to be won in them) and I only use SG and Suzy-spray there for nuking initial any-event's seeds, will always be in a good position for any coming event asking for the same thing. So, my first conclusion is: be sure to do quests, etc., and keep an SG/Suzy-spray stock of at least 169 (better, 200) units all the time. Thus, anyone, even the less "equipped" farms can do well by using the CF approach.

Second conclusion: get a minimum stock of 1/3 CACs/ZABs/EMs or SprWreaths all the time, either by getting them from mkt when they're cheap or from quests/events. Take it as a personal challenge to get them and keep them handy.

With these "provisions" any farm of any level will be able to do well in events like these.

If my calculations are correct, I'll be done with 3 harvests. One of sneezewort and two of glitter poppies. The last of the glitter poppies is just waiting for mature.

Those 32 windmill sails got me nervous and I decided to start the timer not fully prepared...
I'll be done with 14 hours to spare, I hope. If not, I'll have another round of sneezeworts.

    Good luck to all!
