Cinema - no points...cont.

Sorry, teddy.bear- must form a new thread to reply to jnnythct and Mir85. concerning missing BB's at the cinema.

Thank you, Mir85, for your contribution to this difficulty. Yes, it does cover some of the missing BB's. However, I have been checking that point for some time, and there are still many missing that do not have this problem.

It is unfortunate that these problems exist - and seem to be getting worse as the offerings get worse. I have personally sat through several that were 7 min. or more long, and checked for hidden 'rewards' buttons upon leaving (there were none but the 'click at the top right of your screen'), and one I tried to watch in its entirety - for approx. half an hour - and which I finally left before it was finished. When the cinema was introduced, it was heralded as being approximately 2-3 mins. for each movie.

As any business owner (or normal honest person) can confirm, when you have made an agreement with someone to perform certain tasks - and they do not do them satisfactorily, or do such a poor job that consumers are protesting - they either fix their problems or the contract is cancelled for non-performance.

Simply put, the initial 'agreement'/'offer' was: watch a short 'movie' - i.e. a commercial advertisement - and receive points toward a BB for our time.
We are not being fully compensated ('rewarded') for our time spent, as per offer. Time is a valuable thing, and many of us farmers do not have time to 'waste', and so have become very frustrated by this unnecessarily stressful situation.
There have been some acceptable modifications, of course, but always with the understanding that we would receive those points for our time. A few 'glitches' are also acceptable, even expected, as no one is perfect all the time. This is not a criticism of Farmerama, by any means.

SOLUTION; Just as in any business - which Farmerama IS, albeit a very nice one....
whoever they have contracted the cinema with should be reminded of the standard 'non-performance' clause in every good contract/agreement... and called upon to correct these difficulties, with the possibility of being replaced if they refuse, or are unable to perform to consumer satisfaction within a reasonably short period of time.
This is an entirely reasonable and acceptable business- and human - relationship practice....the practice of aiming to please, and most of all - keeping our word and agreements.

*big sighs* I do understand your point of view, and I am sorry I cannot help you with more than forwarding your feedback. Time is valuable indeed, but we choose to "waste" it the way we want it... With it's good and bad parts, the Cinema is still better than nothing. Disabling it completely could cause more disappointment.

On a bright note, what I can tell you is that the Cinema feature continues to be introduced in other Bigpoint games, so maybe the situation will improve in the future.

There was no question asked, so I will ask you before closing the thread to give you the chance to add anything that you feel it needs to be added Is there anything else I can assist you with? ​

 

Thank you for responding, teddy.bear. Forwarding my feedback is exactly what I do wish, as it needs to be seriously considered.

We do not CHOOSE to waste our time with the cinema. Most of us enjoy the cinema and its opportunity, and that is why we are there in the first place. The wasted time is FORCED upon us, as described in the previous post, and is not something we choose.

And, of course, no one is suggesting that it be disabled at all. The suggestion is for the responsible party to FIX it.

I hope this clarifies any misunderstandings of my first post.
