Mir - I am sorry to tell you that you only have 6 correct in the RS, and only 1 in the WS. 3 of the people you listed are not MFs at all.

Well, I am gone and am just plain confuzzled! Was so tired last night after work that I harvested my farm, watched a show with the fam, and dozed off cuddling with hubby on the couch! As you can probably figure out, that means I went to bed without guessing...

But before I make any guesses, I do have some insider information I have to share before I can make guesses with a clear conscience...

I have a darling neighbor who this morning decided to try and "help" me, so I get to rat her out (in the nicest way possible) because it would not be right for me to have an advantage! DBAYES, one of the pink ladies, says she is not a MF... she had the flu and did not get her info into sglick in time ~ she also says that she loves her new pink couch! I told her that she needs to reupholster her hubby's recliner next in classic car teal! (Then they could snuggle and watch Scenic America together on the tube)!

Also a few of us got talking about MFs in Mir's Advent Calendar Forum Edition thread:

When I posted the message, I was assuming this meant that spots was not a MF!

From here on out, I am all fuzzy... The strangest thing is that I thought I then saw sglick post about spots being MF#9 on this thread...! But I can't find it, so I'm not sure if it got accidentally deleted or what. (?) I suspect that perhaps it was in the post below and her computer ate part of it (it is sooo jealous of TygerLilly getting all those fishys!!). My reasoning is that this sentence to Mir seems to end rather abruptly:

@ sglick ~ So is there more to the sentence after the "#85"?? Personally, I just think the computer must really be really jealous... When was the last time you cleared the cache and did a defragment on it?? Or maybe it feels the need for you to play it some music??
Also, I don't see anything wrong with post #51. (Of course I wrote it lol!) I tell you, that computer is jealous!! I think you went to type a 6 instead of a 5 and it took advantage of your lack of sleep! (Might want to edit it so others joining in...)


I think having ten MFs has been wonderful!! I will have to agree with Mir's comment from before - the accidental confuzzlements are a delightful part of the game! They are part of the tradition and the game simply would not be the same without them!

So that being said, I will now go say hi to Typo and direct her here as she said she needed some funny stories about Thanksgiving (we have plenty lol!) and some good laughs to distract her while she is in the hospital! If I have time before I head to work, I will post my guesses... but they may not have very good explanations!

Okay here are my guesses!

1 Blazie – secretly you love to create fire (who doesn't?) Any excuse to fill the fire pit with wood and light it up! You have even been rumored to invite the neighbors over for “smores” just so you could get a fire going!
2 brookeham – pretty in pink! You are so jealous over DBAYES' pink couch that you are currently trying to persuade your hubby to let you pain the outside of your house pink!
3 CJAT – “Who me?? Couldn't Be!” I'd type a better defense but the olives on my fingers make typing a bit tricky!
4 JJenks – because, just like Wendy, you can fly!
5 sunshineaz – I always read your name as “sunshine EZ” ~ you find it quite easy to find sunshine in AZ! Being from cloudy Michigan I am quite jealous!
6 pnp – still sticking with the pond story... just how many CACs did it take for you and your sister to lure Billy Whiskers to swim you both across??
7 banjo – you actually play electric guitar but your wife prefers the banjo when you serenade her!
8 czyjoyce – because you are bad at spelling! You meant to make your user name: “crazy joy – see!” but it was a rough day that day and the spell checker was broken... That (on a more serious note) is why I nick name you cjoy or czyjoy all the time!
9 DBAYES – I know it's not you but I have to give everyone else a chance to know that too!
10 LadyDell - It takes a strong woman to hoist a sword with barn animals running around underfoot!

 

CJAT - I truly am not trying to add to the confuzzelment. I am trying to be as straight forward as possible. It is just that I am a giant glitch and I keep making mistakes. I will confirm that DBAYES is not an MF and Spots is MF #9.

ON Mir's post 104 Mir has 6 correct in the right slot, 1 MF in the WS, and the other 3 are NOT MF's. She must have gotten into Brooke's stash of Eggnog, because she changed #8 from being correct to someone who is NOT an MF so in post # 106. Mir only has 6 correct in the RS and 4 who are NOT MF's at all. She did move the WS MF in 104 to the correct slot in 106.

To be clear, MF's 1,2, & 4 need to be identified. Since I do not like looking up things. Plus, I make too many mistakes when I do. I will give this hint: Hatzeva correctly Identified #1, AnnT correctly identified #2, and I think Lovely correctly Identified #4. This last one I will have to go back and check. EDIT: Lovely did not ID #4 correctly, but CJAT just did in her last post that she edited. CJAT - if you did not change #9, you would have had 8 correct.

 

Dear sglick, we are not accusing you of adding confuzzelment intentionally, but we understand that it can easily happen, and don't want to make you feel bad about it

 

Mir - I get that. But, I really am a Giant Glitch. Every since childhood especially due to my dyslexia, I am aware that I make tons of mistakes. It is a good thing that you'all are understanding and just laugh them off.

I just edited my last post. Between Mir and CJAT, you two have identified 8 MFs correctly in the RS. It is down to naming #1 & #2. Last hint: Look in the 50's of the posts for their identies.

 

Whew! What a thread! How much fun it is to try to figure it all out. Based on the the confirmations and hints of sglick plus all the hard work from everyone's guesses, I have nailed down my final list of who I think MF 's are. However as I am not able to make silly reasons right now, I will wait until someone else comes along to see if I am right (or at least close). Thanks to all who have played.! This was, as always, a lot of laughs!

Sweetie, I love your mistakes! I'm glad you have shared with us about your dyslexia so we understand when you tell us stuff like to "have a good mourning" that you really mean that you wish us sunshine early in our day! It is a delightful part of you that I love! (It makes me feel a tad better when I make mistakes as well!) As for you being a "giant glitch" - you saying that makes me sad!! It's not your fault that your brain likes to switch letters around! The fact that you don't let it hinder you from putting on contests like this speaks a lot - you are to be commend for doing something that involves so much typing and interaction! It must be very tiring just trying to process things correctly! You need to give yourself a lot more credit! (And come up with a better nick name for yourself - we can help with that if you want!)


Copying and editing some of my guesses below as not enough time to make new ones! (Heading out for Anniversary dinner in 4 minutes!)

1 Heidles – you live close to the Canadian border as Sound of Music is your favorite musical! You take frequent jaunts into the Canadian hills so you can sing to the delight of your many children!

2 bumblebee – busy as a bee! You are Pooh Bear's best friend when you are tired and sleep... when awake... not so much!

3 CJAT – Olives, what olives?? We have no olives in our house! (Of course, that fact that my hubby refuses to kiss me if I eat them might possibly play a part in that..!)

4 JJenks – And like Peter Pan you are rumored to sword fight with LadyDells over those specials! (Although Wal-Mart quickly put an end to the swords, it doesn't stop you two from meeting yearly in the cleaning section and having a brief broomstick "sword fight" over who gets the "Special of the Day!") So far it's 5-5 but you have been putting in extra practice and next year you vow to claim the title!

5 sunshineaz – In reality you used to run your own tanning studio called, “Sunshine EZ”. It wasn't that popular in AZ for some strange reason, so you decided to franchise it out. It has been a great hit in other states... especially Michigan where many people go and tan to try and boost their vitamin D levels from lack of sunlight in the winter!

6 pnp – Oh I see what happened! You were playing fetch with Billy Whiskers and it was "really" your twin Lorey who tossed the CAC in the middle of the pond! And when he took off to get his daily dose of beloved CAC, you two just "happened" to be on for the ride! I agree, it's really not your fault that your older sister Jenny was out and about with the camcorder...!

7 banjo – I hear that I have the story backwards... it is your wife's electric guitar (she been playing since high school) and you decided to serenade her with it! She says she loved your playing, but secretly you have your doubts as it wasn't that long before Christmas came around and lo and behold! You had a nice banjo sitting under the tree with your name on it! (Please excuse me if you aren't married... it has been a while since we chatted and I keep mixing you up with another of my neighbors!) Eek!

8 czyjoyce – because you are bad at spelling! You meant to make your user name: “crazy joy – see!” but it was a rough day that day and the spell checker was broken...! 10 LadyDell - So in reality your husband is a medieval-type guy... he loves the Renaissance Fairs and shortly after you were married he taught you how to hunt with a bow and arrow! You two bought a farm called "In the Dell." Thus when you wanted to create your own Farmerama farm (to get away from real farming) you decided "LadyDell" was very fitting!

Note: The Red Queen from "Through the looking glass" is not to be confused with the Queen of hearts (who says: off with their heads) from "Alice in wonderland".

 

You guys have had entirely too much fun without me. How could I have missed a super-sized edition of Mystery Farmer?! It's been fun reading all the guesses though.
Great job managing all this Sglick. Having hosted a few of these myself, I know what a tough job it is. I can't even imagine trying to keep up with 10 sets of clues. So, do we have a winner? I'm ready to find out who gets the enormous grand prize.

 

@sglick, Enjoying your thread...what a turn out! I was giggling about CJAT and Mir's guessing it was me as #5 but then I saw the torture they were having and had to let those two know I was indeed not an MF, my bad! I wish I hadn't come down with the Flu as I had my rough draft ready to send you...darn! Happy Holidays!!

 

Well, I got back from a lovely but somewhat unusual Anniversary dinner tonight... we brought Jora with us lol! Not a big deal as hubby and I went out for a really special night about a month ago. But we do have a history of bringing her on anniversary dinners lol! (Sort of!) When we were first married she was there for our 1st Anniversary at Chili's... (I got pregnant a month after we married!) This being 15 years after that first Anniversary and her wanting so bad to go to this certain restaurant (for the last year and a half!) Well, what can we say to that?? It was a really nice time and hubby and I can always celebrate in other ways.


Anyway, back to the topic...

@DBAYES ~ I read somewhere (igm?) that sglick had already said somewhere in this thread that you weren't a MF! I missed it and know your heart was in the right place, but golly girl you put me in an interesting position thinking I had insider info! (Although Mir tells me you told him too lol!) You will have to save your rough draft and maybe sglick will host another MF Thanksgiving... although next year's might be harder to figure out unless she changes the question quite a bit!


I'm going to pop back to my "guessing" post (#116) and edit just the rest of my reasons so they are funny and not the same as my last ones lol!
