I was just going to post asking if anyone else is having trouble with the drops. I am getting plenty of Jute, but am short on Santa Hats. Anybody have ideas? (other than hoping for gifts or buying them?).

That is, I read the above suggestions to plant the highest level BP crops in Baha, but anything else?

I'm happy getting my cloud row active to get 5% extra cut time for workshop
    I still need to finished LV 1 & LV2 Gold & Diamond.
just 1400 jute, some more hats, present got enough.
Keep the night for long hr crop really help. last nigh I grow onion, the day before is
hazelnut. I don't grow Carnation cause I really got lot of them, over 10000.
each time before event start is Carnation for max drops.
Woody, grow highest EP (longest crop)in Baha is really the way for good drops.
l had unlock green tea, & I'm mix farm type farmers. last night I plant green tea
for field, with some workshop, trees & stables. I got 14270BEP (20% bonus from pet)
    I got 20 hats & 28 present.

Quick question on the cloud row for this event. If I don't get all the decorations but I get the cloud row, will the bonus work in the magical stalk?

No. You need all the deco items for a cloud row to work.

Ahhh, 'the good old days' when they didn't release the FAQ till just before an event started, yet some always seemed to get a heads up well before. You could always track what was needed by what suddenly started disappearing from the market. Because those in the know would buy out the stocks of items on sale for cheap and sell when it the FAQ was finally released at massive prices.

Remember when we would compare markets to see where the movement was, to try to work out what was needed?

Ah the crops are done and awaiting the rest of the drops. Drops and Crops <face palm>
My strategy was to use two fields and CAC with PPP to extend.
Started by Nuking my Event Seedlings in 2x2 fields, Water, Manure, SG and SSG... Remember to eat a White Innocence beforehand.
I then put this crop into 45 (2x2) fields with Water, Manure, SG and SSG again.
Voila, enough Event Seedlings to populate two fields.

I have plenty of Jute... over 3000 right now and only halfway through the levels, but I am woefully short on Santa hats. Anyone have any clue?

Normally I have more drop items than I can use.

woody - it is typical to have more crops than drops-- that is the beauty of CAC. Do you have LL? Or do you move your trophies to each field prior to harvesting? Are you close to the daily average we need? Are you planting jutes around the clock or are you planting a longer crop overnight? If you are close to the drops you need but are just a little short, you could post in the SOS thread and ask for help. Neighbors are also a great source of gifts. You could send your neighbors an IGM and let them know you really need santa hats. Good luck!

I will have all my jutes in 4 hours. Then will switch over to long crops to get the drops I still need. Have all my animals. Just need the diamond part of 6 and gold/diamond parts of 1 & 2. :)

These are my numbers from yesterday morning...

    Recent
    Harvest
    Previous
    Harvest
    Farm #1
    Presents682542
    Santa Hats629490
    Farm #2
    Presents 583 531
    Santa Hats 532 492
    Farm #3
    Presents 717 589
    Santa Hats 558 453
    Anyone spot the discrepancy?
Anyone want to guess at why? Or would you prefer I explain?

I'm waiting for my morning harvest right now. One more field of event crops to go. Maybe a few drops... We have less than two days to finish, roughly 25% left.

    woody,

Other than the suggestions puppiesnponies already gave above, there is nothing else to be done to specifically boost one event's drop over the other one when there are two or more of them, like in current event. How many of each kind you'll get depends on the algorithms BP sets. So, the only way to try to improve one of the two is to try to boost overall drop rates of all drop kinds by doing what puppiesnponies suggests (I may only add that you must avoid pens/workshops of any kind and lean on longer growth time crops in 1x1s), hope for the best and/or also pray.

But let me remind you we are still almost 2 days away from event's end. So, depending on how many Santa Hats you already have, you are OK or not. That is: do you already have more than 2/3 of what's needed for what you've decided to do? Because, if it is so, you're OK and only need to follow suggestions like puppiesnponies' and get your patience armour from your wardrobe and wear it.... LOL.

    I still need:

    110 Santa Hats
    125 Presents

    Should I be worried? o_O
My drops aren't that good and
I have trees placed down every field!!

I grew 800 extra crops too. Last event it was 1000 xD

    *Added*

You should be able to. Maybe use trees or 2x2's once you done with the crops
