I am very interested in your progress. Thank you for the update.
I think it is awesome that you have actually taken on the challenge of producing everything yourself (or do I remember wrong?).
Especially growing all of those amounts of fast growing crops must be quite time consuming.

    Thank you!
Yes, I am growing everything myself. This is a strategy (or choice, rather) that I have not only for events but for the game itself. I find it makes the game more interesting, and it's more of a personal challenge than anything else. As it's a farming game I prefer to make my own produce, otherwise I feel like I'm just taking the work of others to reap my rewards, which I don't consider very fair (of course, I don't condemn those who do choose to buy their short time crops, it's just not for me). Plus, I'm a hoarder of CCs so don't like to buy much - I don't actually have heaps, but I don't like to give them away!

It is time consuming since you have to be able to harvest regularly, but it's better (in my opinion/experience) than long time crops. I only plant those overnight :D

Still just horrible drops. I have harvested 1x1 fields multiple times with good crops and gotten very few. I just noticed that I got one from almost every animal pen I harvested just now, so even though I cleared most pens to add more field space, I may go back to more pens... Frustrating. In most events I have way more than enough drops and lack everything else. This time it's just the opposite!!

Hi Squigglegiggle....Converting to 1x1 and using CAC will help you get all the Event Crops Needed to Make 2000 Holiday Flour and 8000 Events Crops...

But Growing Growing Wheat and Oats and Sorghum back up to 2000 will giving you very little in Event Drops even if you move your Trophies Around and using 1x1....if you are Aiming and Hoping to Mill 2000 Holiday flour you need a Total of 4000 Wheat 6000 Oats and 10,000 Sorghum.....I would not worry to get your stock of these back to 2000 each as a priority....The Priority is to get 600 Pastry Bags,

For Overnight Crops you should be growing Anise as you need to get 8000 or your Highest Crops that is over 8 Hours Long to grow, this really boost your drop rates....Always Avoid growing short timed crops over night as you need to prevent your farm idle time as much as possible to find ways to Maximise your Drops...one of the Golden Rules is to Prevent Idle Time for Harvesting

I have finish Reaping 8000 Anise plus got 409 Pastry Bags...Already Made 2000 Holiday flour earlier....Just need 181 Pastry Bags to Get

For Any other Newbies is to harvest your farms as often as you can and new to grow your longest Crops When Ever you can Once you got all of the Crops required for this Event

Earning BB from Cinema is hard to come by at times you cannot get as much BB from Cinema from time to time....I would using BB to buy the last remaining Drop items as very very Last Resort only to those to not able to harvest the farm as frequent as possible during any event...I would use Illy SOS Thread to get help from other farmers to send you Event Drops that you ate short on mind you as you can only get Maximum of 22 Gifts per Day from Neighbours. Also helps to have neighbours to give gifts to you often during events some neighbours do not send gifts regularly or on Rotation Basis to the 5 or 7 Gifts Limit Per Day

As We get less EP for growing Event crops on the island compared to growing island Crops, As I always grow event crops on the island when CAC is running so i am reap as many event crops as possible, When i got all that i need then go back to growing island crops that get more EP as growing Event Crops is a Priority Bahm EP It not a Priority during any Event to Grow Most EP Effective crop on island once you taken the Pressure to Reap all required event crops then can resume to growing what you was currently short on.

I am Ahead of Schedule with the Event Drops as it still over 5 days of this Event during the Day time I am growing Sorghum as Many as I can while CAC is running and Selling them back into the Markets at over 100 CC each, The Proceeds can help you buy Water so speed up Reaping Crop Times, plus uses Proceeds to Increase the Drop Percentage of your Crops and Animal Trophies to Boost your drops

I would think twice to Newbies thinking of using BB to Buy the remaining drops items....As I thinking with lots of Common Sense during any event as many of them seem to be cloud rows lately....that you need to ask yourselves does these Cloud Rows Really going to help your farm in a Big Way. :p

@Mooboy thank you - I am aware of this. I am only growing the short time crops on 2x2s and will now not be doing so until I have finished growing the event crop. I was growing the short time crops on 2x2 fields whilst building up enough event crops to fill all fields with 1x1s. I am definitely growing anise overnight. I am also aware that the short time crops don't give me lots of event drops.

I generally can get 3-4 BB from the cinema a day. Since mid-November I have earned 104 BB. It's slow going but as a non-paying player I'm not complaining, it just takes patience and hard work

EDIT: Just harvested my 1x1s with CAC. Unfortunately I forgot to leave room on the fields for my trophies so only one field had them, but I got 43 drops. What I have planted on Bahamarama is still going as I am not using water there (but also have 1x1s) so should get a few more drops there. Then one more harvest before I go to bed tonight should get me to around 220, 230 which is fairly decent. It's on track I think. Anyway, I won't start panicking yet!

Because of low drops. The strategy was wrong and I will change now. I still need some anise but I will use more trees and animals to get more drops... And I moved the trophies on Magical glade. I read somewhere that placing the trophies there is useful for all lands and we don't need to move them to each land.... but I'm not sure. I'm still thinking if I did wrong moving the trophies there.

The only place, from which trophies will give constant bonus is Tree of Wisdom, on Magical Glade. That rune costs 300 stars (very top of the ToW), but IMO well worth it of the benefit it gives.
Otherwise, you have to move trophies, refresh the browser (F5), and then harvest.

What you mean is the Living Legend rune... LL rune will allow you to have improved drop-rates on ALL your lands, and not just the land on which the Trophies are placed. You won't need to keep moving them around to have the benefits of extra drop items.

Have you already unlocked it? o_O

    @squigglegiggle
Any time I have forgotten to leave space empty for my trophies on the field I simply harvest the space then delete the cleared plot & then place my trophy refresh & finally harvest with the trophy.

Trees will give you more drops because they take 1x1 plot each .

I got around 119 drops from trees (including Jumbo trees and donkeys production pens ) from my initial harvest when the event started.:inlove: but tree need 20 hours to mature unless XXL only need 12 hours. You might want to consider planting your longest growing crops on 1x1 plots. Hazelnuts and carnations works well for me(from my past experienced). They gave me lots of drops , tools, sugar and so on. :inlove: By the way it is up to you whatever you want to grow..trees/ your longest growing crops.;)

Well.. I'm waiting for my last batch of Anise.. After that I will grow some crops until my CAC run out. Then I will grow either Hazelnuts or carnations on 1x1 to max the drops. Good Luck! Have a lovely weekend.:);)

xDxD:cry: I have the trophies in Magical Glade for so many days but I didn't open that rune. Ah!... I waste so many....
Thank you for lightning me up.

No, I didn't. xDxD:cry: I didn't know about that rune. My strategy failed. All my hope in trees and stables now. Thanks for let me know about that rune :)

Believe me... It is worthy to unlock the LL rune for 300 stars at the top Tree of Wisdom..
Saving a lot of time from clicking the tropies and moving them around... xDxD

After you unlocked the LL rune, delete the trophies on the field and put in your inventory, after that look back again to Tree of Wisdom, then donate the tropies to increase the drop rate items. DONE ;) You may harvest again.

Updates - the end of second day :
Event crops completed, holiday flours completed, and so far my event item drops are 403 pastry bags. :inlove:

197 pastry bags to go in next 4 day..... xDxDxD

shodack78 - those trophies only has an effect on the land where the trophies are, NO effect for others land. Unless you are moving them around...

This is what makes LL rune so special.

Do both trophies help with BOTH animal pens and field plots, or does the animal one only help with animals, and the corn one only help with crops?
