I have gotten in the habit of planting a 1X1 or 2 with something that will "stick out", maybe corn, maybe violets...something very different from the event crop, right where I will notice it. That way when ("when", not if... lol) I forget to move my trophies, I see it an it reminds me to place my trophy. I harvest those small plots, place my trophy and voila. The small EP loss is definitely worth the extra from the trophies!

 

110 Pastry Bags and one harvest of Anise remain to completion...

 

Anise nearly finished. need less than 700, Drops got 455, holiday flour all milled.
So, this event just near finished line. the missing drop will not be problems. as
just one or two night long hr crop will be good enough.
tomorrow work:
Need to restock my flour indgredient. maybe sell some if I could got more time on
line. I need the happy harvester day. BP, I'm waiting for the mini event, My
machinery time expiry. this 2 days I'm using the 3 hr machinery coupon . It's good
for planting event crop, but too short for short time crop farming. Maybe I need to
take a look at farm society quest. I may find some harvester reward that is unfinished.

 

Finished with the anise and just need to get all the drops. I have the new cloud row. I used the clouds and all the buffs and got a total of 73 drops from 3 fields of carnations and baha with mainly trees and a few hibiscus to fill it out. Sometimes I do wonder about the drops. I am not worried because there is still time as I am halfway through level 4

 

Finished on three farms. Need drops for the other two. I planted roses with refinements to get the drops I needed on three farms but did not have enough supergrow for the others.

Before I opened the rune for trophys I never moved them. The only time I tried, I found them in the decoration tab a few days later! I like Woody's idea of planting something that will stick out as a reminder.

 

I should finish on two farms by tonight. Third farm might need one more partial round of event crop tomorrow morn. It has more pens out. I'll have all the drops on all three farms by bedtime, 12h from now.

I have the LL rune maxed out. I don't buy baskets. Before we got the LL rune I just left two blank spaces for the trophies near the sign/map post. I never bothered putting plots in those spaces.

We still have 3 full days. RL and drop count permitting, I wouldn't use SG to get drops. I would just wait out the drops. I just use a long crop like hazelnuts to carnations and logout.

Drops have been pretty slow. I did get the new cloud row for drops...not sure it helped much.
I planted roses w/refinements while I had my WI and FC w/ chestnut cloud row running while building up my event crops.
Then planted longer crops overnight, just things I needed to stock up on.

What new cloud row for drops?!

 

The drops are doing my head in! I'll manage to do it, but I just hate waiting to move on to the next level because of drops - bleh. As for the new cloud row - worked lovely on herbal elixir but my drops after a morning harvest of green tea, red cabbage and 2 fields event crop this morning were awful (full field 1x1, LL rune just one animal trophy short), totalled something like 52. Seems to be picking up again now though.

 

60 more Pastry Bags to go and I will have this Quest completed.
Working on stock replenishment at the present after also completing the Lunch Quest.
I'm kind of low on some crop stocks.

 

There's a "Magic Stalk Winter Sale" on offer now, Suzee. It increases drops rate chances by 5% for 20mins every 48hrs or something like that!

 

Big, big mistake on my part! I failed to read the required levels until today. I've got five farms and all of them would have made it, except none of them are Baha level 39!!

That's what I get for assuming that all is okay on requirements!

My flour is made, my Anise are cooking up nicely. Drops are okay... a little slow because I'm mid-level. But I believe I would make it since I'm more than halfway done with the Anise. I can then plant longer crops for better drops.

I think I should skip finishing the last level on my last three farms. I can purchase Langos at Blazie and Daizy as I have some extra CC's, and level up the 8-9 levels needed. I can also purchase an Island Paradise Jam to increase the B-EP by 30%. Oh! And do a ZAB for 60%.

Would a PPP increase the ZAB EP or just the time?

Any other ideas from the experts?

 

Don't worry Blazie/Daizy, you don't need to be level 39 on Baha, you just need the cinnamon statue unlocked. You need to be level 39 on the main farm so that you have access to cow's milk.

 

Oh phew!! I've got all my cinnamon in all farms. And eggs, and milk, etc.

 

Just harvested my overnight anise and got 50 drops, so I'm at 280 now. A bit low still, but there's the rest of the day and event to go so I'm not stressing yet. This will be my last batch of anise, then I'll be working on building up all the short time crops needed for the flour. So far I've milled 160 flour - I milled what I could (without falling below the 2000 of each crop benchmark) earlier on in case I ran out of time at the end. This one should be finished fully I think. The only question is, having given away my eggs before the FAQ came out, whether or not I can get the eggs in time or need to make some purchases.

 

I have almost all of the holiday flour needed for all of it .... all eggs and such needed .... still growing anise and the pastry bags seem to be in VERY short supply .... if anything makes me fail at this quest it will be the low supply of pastry bags .... so i'm disappointed about that as i really want that little hamster lol ....

 

UGHHHHHHHHHH I just harvested like 180 1x1 plots of anise (was away all day) with both trophies in place, got something like 15 drops. I'm beyond frustrated. People have been sending me some, which is so great, but I am not even at enough for the second level. My fields are broken. Sorry to keep whining about it, I'm close to giving up on this event.

 

Then don't give up! We still have more then 3 full days.

If you have opened "socks" in Advent Calendar, you must have got 2 Zucchini-apple Bread (day 15). Each of those gives 60% more EP for full 18h, and each is enough for 3 harvests of Anise. It simply must yield better drop rate. And if (when) you spend them, you have other buffs on the market.
Carrot bread, for example, gives "only" 20% EP more, and for 4h, but it is relatively cheap, and available on market all the time.
That way, you will get both, anice, and more drop rate of pastry bags.

 

How have you come to that conclusion?
