    Isn't that an example of "Penny Wise and Pound Foolish"? I mean, Dropping PF on Chickens or SG on Carrots or Wheat. :cry:
    Please keep sharing the Mirth and tips for making easy CCs !

    Happy New Year Banjoman.

    Supper grow on carrots! Got it! :) And to really grow, I guess I will begin by using SG on lettuce! Puppiesnponies hasn't said anything about growing yet though.... thank goodness :D

    CCs being made with Anaconda feed sales. Verify on your market.
    • Anaconda feed takes a long time to produce
    • With 4 or even 3 of the fields on Baha open, without the mill subscription the mill cannot keep up with production of Anaconda.
    • Many farm mills are currently tied up producing for the event and this leads to a shortage of available Baha feed which some are not so willing to part with. (Elephant feed has also been stressed recently on some markets and the same may apply to any marketbut it depends on the market.)
    • Takes 2 rabbits and 4 chickens for each.
    And all this leads to $$$$$$$$$$$$$ and more $$$$$$$$$ and for me Puppiesnponies Shop-aholic sessions :inlove::inlove::):)

    This action will have a longer effect. There is presently an over supply on Anaconda and Anaconda can be purchased on some markets for 2/3 of the price of feed.

    Some will see this and the effects will flow all the way through to rabbit feed (which is already stressed on some markets, to carrots and hay and wheat.

    :D Thanks Banjoman, .... Now I know why you mention SG on wheat and carrots .... Great idea, but I can't grow yet xDxDxD

    Hi farmer_broke!
    I was curious about what goods you gave for the top1000 players. (I think tree fruits and not crops:p)

    Hi Arielh :) Happy New Year :)

    Your question is really good, really! Here is the logic which will answer and provide you with the last issue when time to give it away:
    • Products were not allowed but I was indeed ready.
    • Set an acquisition price for tree fruit based on market price to exchange ratio which I converted into a maximum market price I was willing to pay. (We can discuss why and how if you wish.)
    • Blindly bought over a length of time .... Again blindly. Reason is I would dump it all if necessary anyway.
    • Over time specific areas of accumulation begin to show.
    • Market prices for some go beyond my buy price so I cannot purchase, only hold. If beyond my buy price ... too bad ... it will sit and rot!
    • Kept buying whatever met my requirements. (This is like playing the event before the event even begins or others are even aware of ... and some are buying right now ... and many without a direction and it is obvious.)
    • As a market price for an item increased past my buy price I could not buy it any longer. Nor could I sell at a profit until the market price would allow me to more than cover the 10% listing fee. I knew the highest I would pay. As it increased and I could sell, then I did. (Orange is a good example. So I sold many at a profit only to keep buying more of something else. It made no difference what was bought as the rate was figured the same. And over 750,000 oranges now sit and go sometimes.) And this goes on and on and on and on until:
    • Event time. Prepared in all areas as best as possible and stayed broke along to way. Grow crops and submit all else need to even compete on the playground. Then:
    • WHAT DO I GIVE? Yes, tree fruit was the only item which was cost efficient. Crops were the ABSOLUTE WORST!
    • WHAT SPECIFIC TREE FRUIT? This is where I asked for help with feelings and got none so I had to go with my own. I wrestled with the idea but had to answer it specifically. It was easy just to blindly give as the price paid did not matter as all was purchased at the same rate. (Getting the picture?) Can just submit most any tree fruit. But there was no need to submit it all and be successful so which do I hold and which do I give. I fought within myself up until the moment I was sick of watching the numbers.
    • NOW WHICH .... NO MORE PLAYING...... WHICH ONES SPECIFICALLY......GOOD OR BAD .... JUST GET RID OF IT ...... WHICH??? I went with a mixture of: cherry, beechnut, gold leaf, elderberry, peaches, yellow pear, olives, almonds, maple sap, papaya, lychees, and jacote.
    • EQUAL QUANTITIES? NEED THE ANSWER!!! EQUAL? Sick of the event then, trying to disclose a strategy to help my family here was indeed work but done with love, I didn't want to be bothered with it anymore and go back to the farm early. EQUAL? The answer is No...Just gave whatever I thought had the future of a price increase the longest away. Gave what I thought would be the least profitable in the future.
    • WHY HOLD THE ONES HELD? Look at Apricot prices today and this is the reason. <------ the very best example. (And only could gather about 70,000 at my price because ..... I'm broke! Also look at elderberry and you will understand why I did not give all but keep a few hundred thousand. COST MADE NO DIFFERENCE AT THE TIME OF DONATION BECAUSE ANYTHING ACQUIRED MET MY LIMIT. Some more efficient to dump than others.
    • What was NOT ..... NOT donated shaped the future earning potential of the farm.

    Lots to consider if one cares to do it efficiently. Many times flat broke with exactly -0- ccs for fun, and also to keep items turning over at a continuous profit to fund the tree fruit foolishness. This activity must be funded somehow. MUST!

    Might want to check that event strategy thread where the above is disclosed in similar manner with slightly different detail. In this thread there is a discussion where the question of doing the event is discussed. I believe with Solotime.

    And this turnover went in every direction from lettuce and breeding animals and animal feed and products and animals (rare and normal) and craft items and even animal poo poo. And regularly.

    Hope this helps. Again Happy New Year! I wondered where you had been. Glad to see you are still around. :)

    And there is no need in this farm playing on the playground next year. BUT if I even sense that the EN Forum family will not be represented beyond the show of a doubt then this farm WILL step in.

    Thinking of sending a baby farm to play around. I will decide during the the first week in January but the preparation seriousness cannot change. Trying to decide exactly how to position this baby farm now.

    I read every detail and I understand your plan(well almost:p)
    Can you explain me what the exchange ratio is? I have heard of it but I am not so sure what it is.
    Congratulations about getting to the top1000 list. You deserve it:)

    I was away the first week of the holidays with my family and I couldn't write. Before that I had tests and homework. That's why you didn't see me here.

    @Arielh

    To do quickly:

    • In a column write (or type into a spread sheet) tree fruit title you have access to (Ex. apple ...)
    • In the next column write the market price of each tree fruit (Ex. 28.00)
    • Next column write the exchange value and this is fixed (Ex. for apples it is 60.00)
    • Next column divide the market price by the exchange value (28.00 / 60.00 = .4667 or 46.67% <----)

    Can you do this for all you have access to? Let me know if you can and we can go to the next step. (Believe it or not, you have done most of the work.)

    Ready when you are. Thanks, you are asking all the most beneficial questions. Wish I can answer as well.

    Hello :)

    I'm wondering what would be the easiest/most simple way to get millions of CC?
    For those people, who have tens of millions of CC; how did you actually do it? o_O

    Since you said tens of millions and not hundreds of millions
    the short answer would be buy cheap from the market, sell high when demand calls for an item...
    now I am sure one of the 100 mils , FB, Mooboy ect will step in to further elaborate....

    Great question and thank you for asking.

    Several ways to do it. ALL ..... ALL methods will force you to SELL some thing in the market. ALL ALL

    May I provide an answer to this question next: WHAT DO I SELL?

    If I was you, I would buy Cherries, Almonds and Maple Saps. Why? Because they have smaller Price/ExV than others.
    Example: You have 2,000 CCs. What can you buy from it?
    86 Cherries => gives 10,750 ExV,
    66 Almonds => gives 11,220 Exv,
    62 Maple Saps => gives 10,540 ExV.

    The worst option is to buy Medlar Berry, because you can only buy 1 Medlar Berry with 2,000 CCs (only gives 125 ExV).
    This is how I do. ;)

    @ViherPeukalo

    With those example above, you can sell items that have the highest price per ExV ratio. In that case, Medlar Berry will give a lot of profit. Because the Medlar tree produces 4 medlar berries every 20 hours with 1x1 plot (XL and XXL medlar tree is better), so each 1x1's plot worth with:
    4*1450 CCs/20 hours = 290 CC/hr.

    And when compared with others, you can make a spreadsheet of price list with market price vs production time vs plot usage.
    The price is not static and it depends on supply and demand in the market.

    @Arielh

    You are helping quite a few of our friends. Thank you for allowing me to assist you.
    Wanted to give this chart before; most will get more from the process of finding the information and setting it up.
    • Added farm trees
    • Added the Baha trees
    • Adjusted computations
    • Compacted chart (need space for later)
    (The following listing of tree fruit is with level selected when viewing the market. This will ease updating with future market data collection. Found level easiest to update since Baha information is separated.)

    If you will provide the missing current market prices in the areas then I will assist in an update.

    Each market will have a different market value for each fruit. Even price can/will change with time. A program such as EXCEL will make future computations much easier as columns can be formatted in order to make a computation for all. If you choose to do it then your spreadsheet will become massive in no time.

    Your chart summarizes information in a manner like no other in this game. Our progress is being watched carefully I assure you. Please continue to ask whatever comes to mind.

    The following is only the beginning and will do my best to share what I know. What is being done here may also be done with breeding animals, crops (and different classes of crops), products, animals (regular or rare), and craft goods.

    Once we complete this explanation, there is also a chart which may be prepared to see several hundred market interrelationships in this game. And make ccs 8) and not always be broke like me :cry:. The chart below provides only an introductory set up.

    Caution: There is already misinterpretation of the information. Careful!!!!!!!

    I know you are busy. Please let me know if/when you or anyone else would care to go further. Waiting on you.

    Hi Ariel....

    I am one of Those Who Completed the Top 1000, along with Broke few others. I buy Fruits in the Market that have good value buy for CC to build up my Barn of Healthy Good Exchange Value Fruits.

    1) Check The Markets for Fruits on Sale on Daily Basis if you can or even a few times look for Bargains
    2) Avoid/Ignore all Rare Fruit Buys Except for Gold Leaf and Chestnuts
    3) Some Island Fruit Trees have a Higher Exchange Value than Normal Fruit Trees, but Avoid all Rare Island Fruit Trees, too pricey for Low Exchange Values.
    4) Grow Crops/Animals sell for CC uses Proceeds to Buy Good Exchange Fruits from the Markets
    5) Avoid Growing Normal Fruit Trees as it is more cost effective to Grow Animals or Crops.
    6) Use Rare Fruit Trees if you have any or any XXL Olive, XXL Almond or XXL Maple Trees

    I am already in th progress to restock all the fruits i have donated to Top 1000 ready for this year festival event, it may take a fair while to build up good stocks of these....Good Luck to All ;)

    Oups:oops: I did that. But how most of them are the same as the value shown in the barn?

    Congratulations Mooboy!
    I have some questions about number 4.
    Why should I sell crops and animals to buy fruits? I am sure you have a point but almost all my CC I have earned them by selling products. I have never sold crops and I rarely sell animals because I need them for my production pens. What do you believe about selling products?

    And about your suggestion 5 I grow all normal fruit trees that I have that's why I have big amounts of them in my barn. Do you think I should stop?

    I think the best trees to buy are apple, chestnut, gingko, lemon, peach, rowan, plum, pear, cherry, anglel's trumpet, yellow pear, olive and almond. Where do you mean to donate them?

    (I will make the baha tree list when I find time and I will try on Excel but I am not sure if I remember... I want to do it)

    Something that I don't understand. Why do we buy tree fruit? to sell them later, to donate them in events?[/user]

    @Arielh

    You say: "I think the best trees to buy are apple, chestnut, gingko, lemon, peach, rowan, plum, pear, cherry, anglel's trumpet, yellow pear, olive and almond. Where do you mean to donate them?"

    To donate means to give. Tree fruit may be called for when working an event. The most efficient to donate is the tree fruit purchsed when it was purchased with the smallest market/exch value ratio or lowest percentage. Only growing the amounts needed to be competitive will take years.

    Tree fruit may also be donated for progress on the crop trophy.

    Tree fruit was also donated for the TOP 1000 competition.

    No need to prepare another chart as I know it takes considerable time in this arena. If you or someone else on your market will provide me with the missing tree fruit prices then I will update the chart and save the time. Simply provide it in a sentence and I'll be happy to do the rest.You listed 13 trees which you consider the best. Based upon the limited information we together put together, the best trees to purchase at that that time and in the order of best to worst are (AGAIN,THE CHART IS NOT COMPLETE):

    1. cherry 18.40%
    2. almond 18.75%
    3. maple sap 18.82
    4. yellow pear 20%
    5. olive 21.33%
    6. angle's trumpet 22.26%
    7. rowan 24%
    8. pear 24.17%
    9. chestnut 24.44%
    10. plum 25.56%
    11. peach 26.92%
    12. pine cone 30.34%
    13. lemon 31.25%

    For purpose of buying for donation we have 11 of your 13 the same. Based upon only partial information in your updated chart, I have absolutely no doubt as to whether these are the correct choices and priority of purchase. I am also absolutely certain my list will change with complete information. And not even a need for feelings .... just yet!

    We have not even begun to use the information for making an investment for profit decision with regard to tree fruit. Slowly.

    Several terms have been used recently by several. Are you clear on the meaning of: market value, exchange value, and market inde value.

    You okay on them?

    Good information in a single chart here. The chart is in its formative stage and is NOT COMPLETE and the market quotes were rounded. This in itself forces computations based on that information to be good for illustration purposes but not for very accurate decisions. Therefore, interpretations that can be made now are based on less information than is easily available. If I can get the missing market information within a day or so then the chart will be updated before continuing further development.

    In its present state, the chart is quite limited in its ability to lead to a profit direction. Even when complete, this chart information will be ONLY MOST ACCURATE FOR A SINGLE MARKET -- Whatever market Arielh obtained the market information from.

    @ViherPeukalo

    Have not forgotten to answer in detail: What to sell? With no detail the answer is: Any and everything.

    I see you have a good grasp of producing tree fruit considering production time, market prices, plot use, supply, and demand.

    Entering the same information as above into a spread will enable you to simply add proper columns and have the spreadsheet program compute the information very easily. Anytime one wishes to collect market data then it may be entered into another column and one will have not only the current information but also be developing a history where trends will surface. Hopefully we will get to this point here.

    The exchange value is static and further analysis may be done in term of differences from the exchange. Of course if one chooses to graph or chart it or even perform statistical analysis one can ..... and certainly vary the length of time one chooses to view.

    It all begins with setting up the chart. Trying to help do it as best I can here.

    I like your ideas.

    The market index is usually an average of the price an item has been sold for recently. But, the market index never goes any lower than the exchange value (shown in the barn). Since most fruits are very cheap, the market index is the same as the exchange value. The fruits were the market index is higher right now are mostly the fruits for the new quest :)

    @Mooboy

    Generally agree with most statements made regarding tree fruit. I disagree though with not acquiring or ignoring rare tree fruit. Beechnut is a rare tree fruit and encourage you to look at price if restocking for donation purposes. Apricot met my acquisition point 11 months ago and was able to acquire over 70,000 to donate but did not give it. Price today will lead me to sell to exactly -0- and not evn put out an apricot tree. Was able to acquire far fewer lemon, a rare tree, which is at times mildly profitable even with it being recently needed.

    Baha tree fruit although pricey relative to a cherry, but can often be acquired for donation purposes and can be just as beneficial with no increase in unit cost. Many have difficulty seeing this. The chart being developed will clear this matter up when it is updated with Baha information. I agree though and will emphasize that the rare Baha tree fruit is more often than not, not affordable for donation purposes.

    @-Mir85-

    For a very brief period of time I have seen an item's market index drop below its originally set market index price. I cannot sight an example and it is very very rare and did not last long before the index returned to its preset rate. Not frequent enough to worry about.
