Chuck in Charge: the Babysitter strategy

I think my bottleneck will be on Milling. I need to raise the animals first (Ducks, Sheep and Chickens), convert them to Products (Down Feathers and Sheep Wool), and then mill the Products to get Baby Blankets. With only 4.5days to mill, it's going to be race...

 

• Breeding 248 ducks will give you 62 baby ducks and quite certainly the required 18 mallards and 12 motor ducks
• Breeding 144 chickens will give you 36 baby chickens and hopefully get you close to the 12 roasters and 18 silkys
• For producing 62 down feather, you will need 124 ducks
• For producing 113 sheep wool, you will need 226 sheep

Remember that with breeding, you will get lots of regular animals back

Do you have enough stables and workshops for this? Good luck!

 

Do I understand right? The cloud row works only for 30 minutes with reducing the time? That seems kind of strange to me.
Maybe my thinking is not yet quiet working well.

 

It will reduce the time of all stalls you start in those 30 minutes. But the effect on those stalls will of course last until they are done Does this make sense?

 

I have:

• 127 x Duck Shelters
• 128 x Sheep Pens
• 129 x Chicken Coops
• 16 x Feather Collecting Stations
• 19 x Sheep Shearing Sheds

Animal feed may be the challenge as well, but I should be OK on that front. Today I will get all the production pens out with Buffs, so that I get some headstart on milling whilst raising more Ducks and Sheep. Then the Products, then the...

Wow, I'm in serious trouble here. I'm not sure I'll be able to finish this. I have only 1 each of the feather and wool stalls. And of course since I haven't needed them for anything I haven't been stocking up. Been doing that on things I have open quests on. Oh well, I will do the best I can and go from there.

Here is my take on the event:

The baby blankets are my limiting factor.
Right now I would fetch about 13000 CC's in sheeps wool and down feathers alone for one blanket.
And I expect the prices to go up even more. The market is still adjusting it's maximum price.
That translates into a lot of Red Punches already at this point.

Most blankets are asked for in the last step (32 of 54), which I will not complete for that reason and that even without including the costs of motor ducks.
And I will save myself breeding another 50 Baby Ducks!!! That saves me 100 PF alone right there! I very much dislike the new mechanic of baby breeders.

What will I miss?
Absolutely nothing from my point of view!
I am absolutely uninterested in the cloud row because I hate their cool down time anyway and think that they are more a pain than a pleasure to deal with due to that (I will end up with a cloudrow again but I will just not bother with the last decoration).

I just hope that one day the dev team will make cloudrows good EP givers with a convenient cool down time. And that is it! It was introduced to save space... too many decorations were available and there was just no space to put them (they just haven't been used because usually players got less EP on the cloud row than out in the open).
One day maybe we will get a few new recipes instead. They were specifically developed to boost certain aspects of the game, are a pleasure to use and every player will be able to profit from them at some point if interested (reaching level 40).

And again: Can someone explain to me why a player has to be level 61 to complete the event?
According to my numbers level 31 gives you access to all necessary requirements... Am I wrong?!
Who makes these FAQ's again?

EDIT: I very much doubt that the requirements asked for can be produced comfortably in the alloted time especially considering that one would have to start with raising a lot of sheep to produce a bunch of wool to mill the blankets (they take too long: 108 hours of milling time alone - corresponding another 12 PF with the rune of the tree).

 

Will the Chameleons be on the main land or on Bahamarama? Does anyone know? Their food is composed of products from both places.

 

The FAQ says the chameleons are available on main land level 66 so I think they are main farm animals with feed to mill in the main mill too.

 

Just scooped up all the sheeps wool and duck feathers on my market . I would also advise anyone low on cc's to cash in on their roasters as they are going for silly prices at the moment. Now I have to replenish my duck and chicken stock as I milled a load of anaconda feed before the FAQ came out.

And they run 17! hours. I might be interested in growing those until the breeding comes out... but honestly I would be rather interested in a new animal with a running time of 3 hours to close the big time gap between chickens and rabbits.
I do not like clogging up my space with long running animals... just my personal strategy but I like being able to do stuff on my game when I have time and sometimes I have a lot and sometimes I have none (that's when I do animals that run a long time but I have enough of those already; because most animals need a long time anyhow, use up 4 spaces each and produce only one per round). Unless stall upgrades are available and they take even longer!! Catch 22... for me.

EDIT: Btw. I think that a bonus of 5% faster animal stalls is far too small for me to make a difference, let alone having to bother with the timing of the cloud row accordingly.

Looks like getting the feathers and wool are going to be issues for me. Not sure I will do much, though I am going to give it a stab.

 

So if I read everything correct if I only want Chameleons I only have to do the first level and not stress over rest. I only have a couple of each pen except for older animals anyway that I can buy pens in shop of.

 

Wow, lot's going on in this event for someone who doesn't put a ton of time into the game. I mayyyyyyy just make some CC off this event. Or maybe complete level one, like someone said...

 

Oh Dear Another Tough Event for Many of you to complete....it is a lot of asking for a 5% Boost to Critter Farming but it is those Chameleon Pens 18 in Total But can get 12 Chameleon Pens just doing Level 1 Silver, Gold and Diamond is requires only 20 Power Feeds to Breed 40 Chickens to Get 12 Roasters, 10 Baby Chicks (But only need 8 Baby Chicks) plus need 5 Sheep Wool ...You will get back 24 Power Feeds. so you gain 4 Power Feeds. This can be achieved better without the Baby Boom. With Baby Boom you are more likely to get more skips which prevents you getting Roasters if you are Happy just to get 12 Chameleon Pens as they will be the next breeding animal

For Those who want to get 18 Chameleon Pens. I would wait until Baby Boom Event, Plus Get the EP Givers and cloud row for another 5% on less Critter growing time....This will cost you 56 Power Feeds after using 196 Power Feeds as you will get back 140 Power Feeds. I think it is worth getting all that Bahamrama EP, Plus all those Lucky Skips as a reward too But Only Do breeding during Baby Boom Event, I am Certain it will come during this Weekend as it always comes when there is a breeding event...so Be Patient until then.

In the Mean Time I would sell any surplus Roasters,Silkys, Mallards, Motor Ducks, while the prices are high if i was you Hold onto Breeding until Baby Boom...cos when Baby Boom Starts these prices will fall quickly when everybody start selling surplus Breeding Animals. There is no Point buying them from the markets or holding onto them for the Quest....Since you need to do some Chicken and Duck Breeding to get the Baby Chicks and Baby Ducks which you only get one per Breeding Motel. I am selling all Mine now...As i am holding onto my Duck Feathers and Sheep wool, just hold back 62 duck feathers and 113 Sheep Wool, Sell the Surplus i have in stock.

I would Grow as Many Ducks as you can during this Event some for Breeding, any surplus sell in the market. But Duck Feeds will go sky high in the Markets cos you will need to mill 54 Baby Blankets this will take up to 102 Hours to due since they take two hours each to mill any Money you make i would buy as many Duck Feathers and Sheep wool that you not got as soon as possible as you will be needing 102 hours to Mill these Baby Blankets !! Good Luck

 

Is it even possible to get the wool if you don't always have in stock? Who has that many stables to produce them. Think I will do first level and leave the rest.

 

While my market was completely out this morning, there are a good number of offers of both wool and duck feathers this evening. Prices are what you would expect, high. If you have the CCs, you can get some.
