    Hello dear farmers!!

    KC here! (again)
i need help...as many people are telling me, leveling up on the confectionery is not a race..i know it isn't! i just want to get to level 4 so i can make yummy jams and then to level 5 so i can concentrate on getting the spa manager and leveling up my bakery and i posted a similar thread regarding this but i would love some help and before you say: i would buy the products but i am down to about 20,000 CC,s (i am very sad!) but if you help me i will give you what ever you want! Are you dreaming of having lots of sugar or salt or something like this? Ask me! all i need is an Easter marmalade or a lavender jam

    ~KC;):p
P.S~ dont think me greedy...PLEASE

In my market, Easter Marmalade is costing around 42,000 CC at it's cheapest, so that's probably not buyable. However, Lavendar Jam is only costing 3250 CC at it's cheapest, so you could easily buy your jam there and either make up the total in the future when you sell your own products, or sell crops to make up the total. I understand that markets do have some price disparity but it wouldn't be too huge.

    Kim,
In addition to what squigglegiggle said, I want to point out that jams are available to make (and sell!) at every confectioner level, not just level 4. You said you want to reach level 4 Confectionery...does that mean you're currently a Level 3 Confectioner? If so, you're able to make Tomato Chutney. Making it will increase your points (yes, slowly)...but selling it will give you lots of CCs, and you can then use the profit to buy Lavender Jam. In my market, Tomato Chutney sells for approx. 10,000 CC, and Lavender Jam sells for approx. 2,500 CC. If you're not doing so already, you should make the chutney, sell it, then buy Lavender Jam and eat it to gain points. If you're only a Level 1 conf., make and sell apple jam. If you're Level 2, make and sell Yellow Pear Jam. It really shouldn't be too hard to earn enough CC's to buy what you need. All you have to do is use the resources on your own farm.

Have you tried doing some farming and selling your goods at the market? You can actually earn CCs this way, which you can then use to buy whatever you need at the market.

i would buy the jams and make the tomato chutney except i leveled up to level 3 before i reached level 65 on main farm so i can not get onions and i would buy them but i have no money (none at all) i only have...*GULP*...hehe.....7,497

As other players have mentioned, you can grow other crops and sell them on the market for more profit. Check out some of the threads for making more CCs - there are a lot of really good tips for upping the contents of your bank account.

KC: So what about making/selling apple jam? Or yellow pear jam? Or just growing and selling crops? You say you would buy them (onions) but you have no money. If you're not at level 65 yet (and therefore unable to grow them), you can't buy them, either. That crop won't be available for you to buy until you reach level 65. In any case, look at all the other things you can do that people have suggested, KC. Like I said, if you can't make chutney, make apple jam or yellow pear jam and then sell it. Or just grow crops and sell them. That's what every single person in this game does...they sell things that were made or grown on their own farms and then buy what they need. It wouldn't be much of a game if all that happened was people giving each other stuff to get ahead.

    Well said steph.
None of this is a race, go at it at your own pace. We all want the best of the best but if you put your head down, work at it and slowly build up your CCs, BBs, levels, etc. you can earn what you have too.

That's a bit harsh. People have been trying to give you a lot of tips to help you but as steph said, this game isn't just about using other people's products to get ahead, regardless of how much sugar you promise them if they help you. You need to do your own work too.

I never said you were dumb, KC, nor did I imply it. You asked for help, and lots of people (including me) have been trying to help you. But you have to willing to help yourself, too. Pretend these were real farms. Everyone is out in their fields...crowing corn, feeding animals, etc., and then going to the market to sell their stuff. Are you working your own fields and going to market? Or are you just asking people for stuff? If you are growing anything..animals, tree fruit, or crops...then you have stuff you can sell.

KC, most of us cannot afford to help you. We have worked for months to get to the levels that you want in a week. This game is designed to last for years. If you want a game you can complete in a month, this isn't it.

KC, many of the players in this forum are very generous with helping players who need a little boost to, for instance, complete an event. Or host a competition with great prizes for fun. Or just give a gift to someone they think deserves a treat.

But asking other players (in multiple threads) to gift you products just because you can't afford them, is a bit different. Everyone, now matter how far along they are in the game, no matter what resources they have, have goals of their own to work on. I think most players here are working on leveling up in at least one of the trades. I have been eating 5 eggnogs and 5 white innocence every day for months. And I still have months to go. Everyone has (had) to work for that. So when you asked for help, you have gotten suggestions for how to achieve your goal.

Also, I am a bit provoked by your trying to sell this as a good deal. "Give me an Easter marmalade and I will send you lots of sugar." If you gifted someone sugar every day for 80 days, that would only be enough sugar to make one Easter marmalade...

I have been biting my tongue for a long time, but since you are so persistent I can't any more. I don't want to offend you, I am just not sure you understand what you are asking, and how this comes across.

    Perfectly said, Mir.

KC - in your original post you claimed to have around 20,000 CCs. Now, today, you are claiming to have 7497. This means you have spent about 12,500 CCs since yesterday. My question to you is: have you spent that money wisely? Have you been buying ingredients to make your own jams to level up? Have you been paying the market fee (meaning you have put some items on the market)? To get to the point, has that money gone towards your goals with the confectionery? Or have you spent it elsewhere?

KC, you need to learn to take a hint. Everyone who has responded to you was trying to tell you, in the nicest way possible, to do your own work instead of begging for handouts. -.-

I mean, if I had any of those items to spare, why would I give them to you--someone who has the means to get these items on their own but can't be bothered to put in the work--rather than a lower level farmer who doesn't have access to the crafts market at all?

I'm so glad Mir brought up this next point because I had an issue with it as well. Aside from the lavender jam (which is relatively cheap), you are asking for rather expensive items (CAC, Easter Marmalade, Island Paradise Jam) and offering practically nothing in return. It's one thing to beg for free handouts, but to try to pass this off as a "good deal" for us, where you're ~making our wish come true~ ... Really? Anyone who can afford to give you this stuff probably has sugar and salt trees of their own. That 1 sugar or salt per day that you send them wouldn't be more than a drop in the bucket.

Oh, and another thing. Creating multiple threads for the same topic is considered spamming so please stop.

Maybe you should concentrate on getting to level 65 on your main farm so you can raise your own onions and not come begging?

KC, this is a very generous forum, and people are happy to help you when you need it. I cannot count the number of times very generous farmers have sent me an extra PJ or CAC during an event because I can't make my own yet. I am forever grateful for that, and I rarely ever actually asked for them to be sent.

But as others have said, and as we have been trying to tell you, you are not at a road block. You are not stuck. You are experiencing something we all experience in life called effort. Not everything is going to come handed to you on a silver platter, and sometimes when you want something, you need to put in the effort to get it.

If, during an event, you're in need of a CAC or PJ, I'm sure someone will have a spare that they can send your way. However, you are responsible for earning your keep just like the rest of us have had to and continue to have to do.

We are happy to help but we are not fools and do not appreciate being treated like such. Whilst you would be receiving these gifts without any labor on your own behalf, the rest of us have had to make those from scratch, using our money, our sugar, our crops, our time. To send you these gifts it does not only take the resources for one jam. It takes the resources to open the confectionery, to get points in the confectionery, to complete the quests to use the confectionery. None of us are greedy, but equally, none of us are very happy with donating so much of our time and resources to you for such minimal payment. You would not ask for a hamster stall and return the favour with a chicken coop. You would not ask for a honey tree and send back an apple tree.

If and when people are willing to send you gifts with no decent return gift, they will. It has been done for me and in time when I can I will repay the favour. But that was ok, and I checked with these people, because they chose to send me stuff. Because, it was their idea to send me stuff - I never asked for any of it.

In the meantime, we have given you ample suggestions to make your own way in the game. If you would like to advance in the game, you need to follow these tips and put in your own effort.
