I know you know this, but ZAB only works on crops, I am sure you mean spring wreath :)

I just don't want anyone reading it to be confused ;):)

Everyone is focussing on the timed events but we also need drops and lots of event crops. So could it work to put long time crops for a first harvest to get good drops, then get event crop going to build up stock needed for 1x1 later, then plant trees everywhere for that timed event?

@ djh99... I tend to get better drops with my field of trees than from event or long time crops (even carnations: Sorry Suzee !)
I'm going with as many trees as I have in stock. Making sure I have my Auto Harvest OFF. and putting on an EM and a SprWr with a PPP right before harvesting as soon as the event starts.

I harvested my trees today and I calculated that I get almost 9000 EP/BEP from the main farm, magical glade, baha, and the meadow.
So I can do the first step.
Do you know any buffs for more EP from stables?

right now, I am pulling the pens after they are done and replace them with tree. Just wishing for some more XXL catalpa (finally a use for them). I am not yet sure if I start the first quest while seeding the new seeds or wait a day.

Yikes! My other farm has all but a few red cabbages but I have yet to open Monkey Breeding. So I can do this right up to the last level on Chevrefeuille. :music:

This farm is lacking all the crops and, of course, the Squirrel Monkeys (bought two but the market is empty of them for the moment!).

Edit: Don't know where my head was at but I have all the crops I need, think the game flickered and showed me how many offers were on the market and not what I had in stock! Then I went and bought up some more and found I have loads! -.-

I am working tomorrow afternoon and Friday afternoon so I will be starting a day late and have no idea whether I have enough trees to get that 60,000 EP! I will plant all my trees and buy extras of the highest tree available for CCs and, of course, will try to remember the Spring Wreaths and Sweet Rose Jam but it will be very hit and miss lol! :p

Oh well, at least the event crops "look" manageable! And the drops, we shall just have to wait and see but I also do get good drops from trees so perhaps I will get lucky!

    Good luck everybody! ;)

I've been fighting a cold the past week... Last night I was thinking I would skip this event. Then I looked at the FAQs for the last two events and decided I would probably do it. Then I looked at this FAQ and all the deleting and placing... ugh. My little brain is having trouble with all the details. I was struggling to figure out what they meant by crop squares... lol

I'm not liking this event primarily because of all the deleting and placing of trees/pens/plots. It's too time consuming. I'm worried about the pens too.

I was headed over to delete plots and plant trees... while trying to decide how to work all of this around my RL schedule... Then I decided... since I usually do all the crops before turning any of them in... I'm going to grow all the crops first. Then delete plots. Plant trees. Delete plant pens. Or maybe do crops all day tomorrow, trees overnight, back to crops. Not sure yet. Still... plotting. lol Trying to work all this into RL...

I'm in the same boat Suzee (as I listen to "Rock the Boat" by the Hughes Corporation, that seems appropriate!). I can't make up my mind at all. So, as I am working when the event starts, I will use that time to grow my trees! And maybe get some good drops too ... but then, the pens in 24 hours! *Illy sticks fingers in ears and hums!* :music:

Hope you're feeling better Suzee. ;)

Is there anyone trying to complete third step with powerfeed + water?
Because I think it is impossible to complete without it... :sleepy:

I'm not sure if it is needed but I have some that I'd use if I need to push some pens into the right time frame. It'll all depend on what pens you have and how many so it's kinda hard to say who will need to use PF and who won't.

There's no animal stables EP buffing artisan product that I'm aware of. The best use of the 2 available gold slots is, again, EM+SpWr: these not only affect all lands, including Baha, but also everything else, not only animal stables.

So, for step 3, again, the only approach is to carpet all non-barren lands with all the best animal pens you may have (all the highest coloured pens included) and activate all the pets you may have along with EM and SprWr active at harvest time. I have no idea if what I have in my barn will be enough over a 24 hs period but I choose to think it will be. I won't be able to solve it if it's not, so I'll accept what I'll get without helplessly whining.

Beware that last level requires to be level71 in main farm; that is: if you are currently at a lower level and think you won't be able to get 71 before the event ends, then you should assess what parts of the event -and to what extent- you'll aim at completing.

Finally, as far as drops are concerned, the needed daily avg is pretty low -117/day- but easiness or difficulty to get enough of them will depend on actual drop rate set by developers for this specific event. Anyway, the initial tree harvesting avalanche should help (though trees are undoubtedly worse drop yielders than 1x1 plots with crops, in terms of drop chance/plot/hour, the fact that you are compelled to carpet your non-barren lands with trees will anyway mean you'll end up with a nice mound of event drops right at start), BUT, on the contrary, the animal stables needed for step 3 will certainly work against daily event drop avg. Therefore, I suggest to have as many 1x1 plots with crops the rest of the time as a way to compensate the certain relative loss the animal pens will mean.

I have Pulled out all the 1x1 Fields from all my fields Planted High ep Rare Trees and Newest Rare Trees which i need to build up stock up to unlock 10% Extra Ep cloud which will take a while to do.

Put my Highest EP Trees and Super Trees on the Glade cos you get 10% more EP on Trees in the glade

On Main Farm, Green Meadow Planted mostly my Maples Trees, I am doing this anyway as i no need to restock Long timed crops really, so that i can still get Good Drops of Cargo From all these Trees

On The island have planted lots of Lychees Trees as Running Low Milling Chameleon Feeds for Lychees, the other Two Trees are Persimmon and Mate Trees which are island highest EP Trees i have.

As I am one of those who got the Chestnut King, which can can give me 100% EP on all Island Trees, as I intend to use it with Spring Wreath and Easter Marmalade, Plus used 6 X 10% EP Crow Pets + 20% EP Unicorn Pet + 20% EP Dragon Pet I could in Effect get more or less 60,000 EP Required for the First Step of this New Event Quest, with the need to use Ep from Trees on Main Farm, Green Meadow and The Glade

Yes Level 3 is hardest Part of the Quest, will be needing some Spring Wreaths and Easter Marmalade and Pets, Many of you will find this task much harder to do without these...it Helps to Use the cloud rows that boost Stable growing times too you need to throw anything at this to reap 60,000 Stables EP within 24 hours of timed Quest i think this is The Toughest Challenged Big Point have given us !!!:wuerg:

Well I have decide to do crops and drops first and then do the timed quests when I have time to plan carfully i.e. Fri/Sat/Sun. Know I can do the trees - have a fair few jumbos and enough XXL to fill most fields, the stables are another matter. Just remembered to switch my autoharvest off too! I may not actually get all the rewards on this one without fields of pink animals/jumbos!

It is possible, even without any buffs, or any upgrades :) This example is just to show that it is possible. It is not at all the best way to do it.

Regular farm stalls watered give approximately 7 EP/hour, regular baha stalls watered give approximately 20 BEP/hour. Edit: This is if you have the stable master rune, which reduces stable times by 10%.

    Start timer and harvest:
    • 128 beaver pens; gives 128*90EP= 11520 EP
    • 41 panda stalls; gives 41*210 BEP = 8610 BEP
Then do animal farming for 24 hours:
    • 128 stalls * 7 EP/hour * 24 hours = 21504 EP
    • 41 baha stalls * 20 BEP/hour * 24 hours = 19680 BEP
    Total: 61314 EP/BEP :D

Remember, this was all basic stables, and no buffs. Any colored stables you have will help a lot, add Easter marmalade and spring wreath, and I think it can be doable for most
    :)

In the magical glade you get +5% EP for trees, +10% EP for stables :)

It is in the Magical Glade FAQ.

    Thanks Mooboy and Mir.

    128 Beaver stalls! I think I have 3. :(
41 Panda stalls! I think I have 3 and I don't have the last portion of Baha open. :(

I will muddle on to see if I can make it work with what I have. :p

Cali, I also don't have 128 beaver stalls, nor 41 panda pens :D

It was just an example ;) The really good thing is that all orange stables (except chicken and rabbit) give more EP than a beaver stall. Just put out the stalls with highest EP overnight :)

I see an investment in Trees coming up...... Oh well, needed fruit trees for my Confectioner anyway, so it's not too bad. There's no way, though, I'll have enougn CC's to buy enough trees to get the 60k EP, but I'll just see how much I can get. Since we'll get something for trying, sorta speak, I'll just give it a try. :) Same goes for the stables.
As for the event crops, now that's something I CAN actually do :D
I'll probably do step 1 - 3. I might also do step 4, since I can grow the crop squares, but I'll just see how it fits my schedule. Step 5 is a no go for me, I think. I'd have to gain another 10 levels for that.....

I think this will be a "relax" event for me. The upgrades for the Chameleon stalls are nice (after all, having the upgrades is always good!), but if I don't get them, that's okay too.

It will give me time to do some other things and prepare for the next event :)

Have fun & Good luck everyone!
