From the outset, I like the fact that (unless I misunderstand?) its EP required, not the actual items. Should lead to a crash in fruit prices temporarily, but not long term (doubt it will greatly impact animals, but maybe), and since I am still boosting my farm trophies, I can add them to that. Some players in the habit of using hoarded stocks may be disappointed, but I like this.

I also like that you can move forward without fully completing the first step. That should help a lot.

I still have my overall complaint that you are having too many events too close together, and that it might be nice to have some lower level-geared events together with these higher level events. However, I like that you are using more trees and just trying to "mix things up" a bit with different ideas. This one, from what I see, seems to be a winner. (will update more as event moves on, but wanted to record my initial opinions).

EDIT: while I like the design of the event and rewards, all the glitches are making it not so fun. The delay did not bother me much, but I lost EP and wasted buffs due to harvesting glitches.

    ALSO:
Apparently you can do part of step 1 and still advance.... see the FAQs and strategy thread for more details

I also am disappointed. I used 2 EP boosters from my pantry only to go look for the event and find out it's delayed. :(

Event plant- Nice job Design/Development Team, in my book you never fail to deliver.
The 5 hr harvest time, increased event crop EP, utilization of all fields, great

    Duration of event- accommodating

Required product- like the mixing concept, the including of various items.
It is my thought as well, the mix still needs some adjusting. From reviewing past events, I believe you are trying to find this balance. Credit to you for this, it must be hard to please the masses.
Timed quest, Possibly lower amount of specialized EP need for steps 1,2 possibility 3, adjust rewards accordingly. Of course this action is easier said then done. It will not challenge higher level players, but will be achievable & beneficial to most lower level farmers. More players will be able to take part in the same event. As running 2 events of this magnitude is just not feasible, understandably.

    Rewards-
Offering Artisan products is a plus, very helpful.

The giver rewards are always delightfully designed.
The increased frequently of BEP givers obtained is also a plus.
That being said, givers are starting to feel like" The o'l standard "
perhaps a new reward can be featured as well in up coming events.

Stickers- Like the stickers, they help me keep track of past events played.
Glad to see they are an "in addition to " reward lately.

    Colored pen upgrades, worth wild.
Missing the orange upgrade for higher levels.
Will hope you might consider the possibility of a Red upgrade being offered every now and again sometime in the future.

Cloud rows- Well thought out. They give players more freedom on how they want to run their farms, they save artisan buffs & will most assuredly help with future updates/events.

As far as the delay due to the "bug"
With past events I have lost, unnecessarily used items. Wasn't overjoyed, so now I check the timers & forum prior to doing anything on the farm when an event is expected to run.
Thanks for catching it early, better now then when the event went live.

Nice to have a bit of a challenge, an event you need to put some thought and planning into.
But here comes that balance again, as it is also nice to go hunting in the city for various items as well.

    -Edit-

I am not sure if the partial rewards break down was included with the last (past) timed event we partook in. However, I did notice it this time when I went to review the required items needed/rewards by accessing the Event from the city square.
    Either way, Nicely done !

Unless I've misunderstood, in order to compete in the event one has to...
    1) Remove fields. Place trees.
    2) Remove trees. Replace fields.
    3) Reremove fields. Place pens.
    4) Remove pens. Replace fields.

    Are you people insane!?!?!?
    1) Who has that many extra trees and pens laying around? Isn't the whole point of the Transeedlantic Express to get rid of those things?
    2) For those who have them, who has the time/desire to move them all around like that?
    3) Who wants to keep that close a watch on the clock to make sure that the turbo mulch/buffs etc. are giving the most bang for their buck?

On the left of your screen where you have the event timers, click on the event. Once you have read and closed out the story line, click on "View Chores" there you will find the description of the first step and the "Start" for the timer.

You can also access the event from the "News" menu where it says "Farmerama Comic #7".

    What??????

As far as I knew, I was NOT a premium player. But, I have been advanced through level 1 of the event. Nice, but since I had already given up and planted other stuff I am now days behind and can't plant the event crop until I can harvest my fields. I'm sure people who WERE trying to do the event and got advanced, are no better off since their fields are, no doubt, covered with trees right now.

Furthermore, given the tree glitch, I have no confidence that there will not also be a pen glitch. So, I'll continue to pass.

Overall, a very ill-conceived and poorly executed event. Clearly the programmers tried to do too many new things at once, without testing them and created a hot mess. If ever there was a need for the "Steam Room" thread, this event is it!

why ,why, why, oooooh why!!!! do they always get carried away with the amount of product needed for these events , especially the pens as they dont give that much ep take up so much space n take so long to harvest. i can only speak for me i like to participate in all events , but i am not sure i can afford the stress they cause trying to complete them anymore.this is supposed to be fun its getting not to be fun just a frantic race

I AM premium, but got no advance.... maybe you got mine (??) hey... GIVE IT BACK!! (lol ... LOL).

Seriously, someone must have entered your ID wrong in admin. Per the rest, I, too have had issues. I lost some of my EP on the last harvest (after issue supposedly fixed), plus since my regular harvester (which I got from a Farmer Quest) did not work, I wound up only being able to manually harvest a few of my items before I had to leave for work and by then my Easter Marmalade had expired. (to be clear, I had auto-harvest turned off for that stretch, but turned it on before and after).

i like the 5 hour event plant, but the requirement of 60000 ep both in trees and stables are a bit harsh. I do not have the advantage of being at home all the time to play this game 24/7 and do not want to spend rm to get rewards, so i hope in the future bp development team will take into consideration that farmers will have to work ;)

Well I was enjoying this event till I was just getting ready to harvest the last of my trees and the timer shut off. Did not have enough for the 60,000 but would have gotten more prizes. Really just 2 more seconds was all I needed  Oh well I just hope it doesn't happen in step 3 as I just put out alot of stalls :p will start that in the morning. I do like the 5 hour crop, wish we had more of them for events :inlove: Good luck to all that will finish ;) farmer name:desaray17

I for one really like this event. It is much better than the plant, plant and plant some more events. Then again I had enough trees and pens to fill my lands. I will say it was a challenge to switch things out but the prizes are well worth the effort.

The event graphics are lovely, prizes are good and I like that I have to think instead of just grow, grow, grow. It's nice that you get partial rewards for the timed steps as everybody can have a go.

Yes, because they obviously intended for these glitches to happen and they just love it when things don't work! No, this is not the first time a glitch has happened, nor will it be the last. Because this is programming, and glitches happen. The most competent programmer in the world would still have glitches because glitches are unexpected and pop up without the programmer doing anything. If you don't want to spend your resources, don't. They get enough from other people who have respect for them and their game. They aren't greatly put out by your bank account being kept full out of spite. What's more, they are absolutely not incompetent. What about everything that works in the game? The graphics, the noise, the crops and harvests and everything that 99% of the time works perfectly well? Does that not count? No. Apparently not. Because you take for granted every success they have because it works. Perhaps one day you would like to have your work taken for granted. And if not, maybe then you'll learn some respect.

My feedback for this event: I do find the requirements too much, so I was reluctant to start this event. I decided I wouldn't participate, however having been completing my regular harvests I have noticed that the drop rate seems to have improved quite a bit, so good job for that. And also, thank you for your hard work. Please know that whilst there are some who lack respect, there are plenty of us who understand what you do and understand that it won't always work out :D So give yourself a pat on the back. This hasn't gone according to plan but you've done a brilliant job of dealing with what's come up. I also agree with woody that events are too close together. Just the thought of whacking out another one so close to the last put me off.

I'm enjoying this event. I really like that we have to plan our strategy instead of growing only. Even if I can't get full rewards I like the partials and I like the rewards although I, too, would like some GBs.

Well... I got 2 PF's from the first round of this timed event! There was no way I was going to get 60,000EP from the tree's. I don't have enough of them and I don't want to buy 100 more of them that will sit in my inventory. The same is going to happen in the next timed event for the animals. I'm not going to buy 100 more pens for this event. I don't think the BP developers looked at this very closely. 60K in just 24 hrs isn't enough time. I'm worried that I won't get 60K for the pens either.
