I don't think I'm going to finish this challenge. 2000 parachute plants and 5 hrs to get them to grow? Yes, water knocks an hour off and manure knocks off more time but I've taken off all my pens for the plants! I only have so much turbo mulch and super grow... Sometimes I feel like they set me up to fail....xD

I think it's so silly how upset some people get because a CHALLENGE is more or less challenging. This is a fun game, and events are only as stressful or laid back as we make them. I have very few trees and animal pens, don't have the money to spend on them, but have gotten some nice prizes for partial completion.
I think it's nice to have an event with a different spin. And the 5 hour crop is nice. I also appreciate that I CAN get partial rewards.

I don't think the step 1 and step 3 timed events were fair I actually have a lot of time to work on my farms and I did put a lot of trees and stalls out but still could not come up with the 60000 eps that were needed plus using up 48 hrs of the event on levels tat could not be completed so there was not enough time to finish the rest of the event. I hope you all put a little more thought into the event before things like wat happened on this event happen again thank you for taking the time to read this just tryin to be helpful and realistic. and if its this difficult for higher players imagine how the lower players must feel

I finished this event just a short time ago. I had a fun time and managed to complete all the challenging requirements with a little strategy and help from my neighbors. The Strategy thread really helped. The prizes were well worth the effort and hope that BP continues to reward its faithful farmers with worthy prizes. The 5 hour crop was in the Goldilocks zone for me (you know... just right ;)).
To all my fellow farmers remember: Obstacles are what you see... Once you take your Eyes off the Goal.

Even with the delayed start I liked the event.....The delayed start actually showed that I forgot to turn off the Auto Tree Harvest.
The rewards were good, the tasks different from the usual plant and collect scheme.....The timed tasks/quests are good to break the usual routine....No. 3 was especially challenging for me, because I don't have any animal pens out, except for my lone Wolf.
So, overall the event gets my thumbs up.....

    Seriously???
Loads of people used very precious resources to start the event, only to see them wasted due a technical issue and after 5 days still not even so much as an apology, let alone any kind of compensation but when there is an issue for the paying customer, BP fixes it in a few hours, they bite the dust in apologising and run a script to rebook lost EP. Nice...

Seems pretty clear where the priorities are. If a script can be run for the ones that 'lost' EP due to the auto tree harvesting, surely a script can be run to rebook the SSG to all the players that used it to get the event underway.

Of course technical issues can occur, I understand that and appriciate delaying an event rather than go live with a huge bug but as for this event the start was crucial for many players and extra resourceshad to be used far in advance, some kind of compensation would be in order.

Again disappointing and confirming that farming is no longer a game but a business

On the other hand, I did enjoy the challenge of getting EP for the trees and animals and not just blindly plant and harvest for a couple of days. It took some timing and a lot of effort (also due to above...) but managed to do it in the end.

    What a sensible post - I couldn't agree more ! ;)
I think that this event was well thought out. Steps one and three were tough, they needed careful planning and were for the higher level players to complete but lower level players could part finish these levels and still be able to carry on through the quest.
The crop requirements were fair for the prizes on offer - bearing in mind, as I have said before, not all players can expect to finish everything as it is level and learned skill dependent. This is what makes this game addictive and interesting.
A 5 hour crop was brilliant and loved the graphics too.
This event has brought in yet more new twists to an event - what a good way to make use of all those trees and pens in
    the inventory ! :)
The cloud row on offer gives a nice balanced amount of EP and BEP. BP listened and put the cloud row at the end, so that those not quite completing the event do not end up with a grayed out and annoying row but do get a good high BEP giver from level 4 + a hefty lot of BEP.
Even though I am not into comic strip I enjoyed the challenge of this one ! :D:D:D

Sure, postponing the event at the last minute must have been really annoying for the players who prepared trees, used SSG and TM on them to maximize EP. Then again, as mentioned, some bugs and glitches are unavoidable in computer world. I believe BP team really tries to prevent them whenever possible (would be kinda pointless to mess things up on purpose to make people angry) but come on, s**t happens, nobody is perfect and so on. After all, we always get apologies (nice) and bonuses as compensation. I'm happy enough with that. And while we, as affected and dedicated players, will always complain about things that don't work, big thumbs up for all the stuff that does work - which is vast majority. Thank you for the great job you're doing every day :)

Leaving technicalities aside, I really enjoyed this event :D. Why? Not too many event crops so it didn't get boring (planting the same thing over and over again for a week is so tiresome), using some barn resources and absolutely the best - timed steps! I see some players considered them to be outrageous, undoable, even obscene... Well, I stand by my opinion: challenges should be challenging. Really large amount of 60000 EP required actual thinking, planning, some strategy. I love it!

Strategies thread clearly showed that 60000 EP is (just barely) achievable even without any boosts, jumbo or coloured stables. Obviously it's much easier with them but still not too easy. It's also fair to lower level players or those who don't play a lot - they can finish part of the step, get partial reward and move on to the next part. Perfect solution.

Some downside for me are the rewards... PF, EP, CC, SSG are always welcomed and I appreciate the fact that BEP are lately also included (shame GB never are :(). BUT. A couple of orange stables would be much more enjoyable than ten yellow ones. After all, if requirements are difficult to meet, rewards should be accordingly attractive.
Moreover, I'm SO not a fan of two-item cloud rows -.-. That's just multiplying rows. I've already got 21 pages on the Bean Stalk - 63 rows - and clicking is becoming more and more boring with every new one. Giver items are as always very nice but with so many of them in the inventory (just checked, I've got over 300 altogether, each new item is just another grain of sand in a sandbox...) it's hard to appreciate one. Or two. Or ten. IMHO givers should become a bit rarer so we value them more.

Although there is delayed, I still love this event, everything is perfect balance. It is challenging and achievable and the rewards are fair enough.
I like the 5 hours event crop, it is very great improvement. I also appreciate that everyone can get partial rewards for the timed steps as everybody can have a go if s/he completed more than 4% of the task.

However, I also agree with others that the events are too close together. I'm afraid this will cause a new problem as high as my FOCD to this game. :wuerg::cry:

Overall this event gets my tumbs up... Thank you BP teams for your brilliant hard work.. BRAVO.. 8)

Wish we had more event with same format in the future.. Please :music:

Well, having something timed in it, itself is nice. But the required EP for the animal stable was pretty steep. I had to use lots of PF.
Getting partial rewards for those steps are good. Maybe having more time on this kind of events would also be good. Since the stables and trees take so long and we can't grow anything with the field being occupied with them.

And I think we need more "recovery time" between the events.

Loved this one, I found it to be easy to complete. I'd been using Baby Boom's for a few months as a way to get Orange Upgrade's for most of my animals and it pays off in many ways.
The Cloud row is a really good one and the LOVE the reward of the Bear pen (since he went away before I started the game.)

Eventho they are not timed, trying to get 5000 plants and then 8000 plants was impossible. I'm still on the 4th and need over 1700 to get that 5000. I had to buy the some of the square crop to even get close to 1000. Don't forget, those require 12 hrs 45 minutes to grow. And using water and fertilizer still needs 10 hrs. I used buffs to try to get more but this contest wasn't fair. Yes, I took off all my pens and fruit trees to give me more space.

how in the world did u finish this game? And what are the cloud rows? There is no way I can finish the 4th part.. I'm still 1700 parachute plants from completing.

Do not double post, please amend your last message if nobody had anything to add since you submitted it

Farmerama players, I totally agree with you, this is the best event. The 5 hour crop was a great improvement. Congrats BP team. Give yourself a wonderful treat for making this event a very wonderful event.:)

The key to growing all the plants is to use 1x1 fields and carrot apple chutney. Then you get 3 times more crops! But that is a lot of work to plant and harvest, so if you don't buy harvest helpers, try to save some coupons for events. Actually 15000 of a 5 hour crops is less than we usually have to grow. For more tips, check out the strategy section of the forum.

I would like to thank you in advance for the upcoming bonus code on Monday to help give back some of what we lost when things with the event didn't start on time.

After the delay, the event went smoothly for me and I enjoyed it okay. I personally don't like it when I have to use breeding animals. Don't mind if it is an option but the MUST in order to complete is rough on me. I don't get to breed as much as most and therefore I don't have as many on hand for events. Thanks for keeping the number required low.
