Baby Boom Day

Yes it is very Surprising That Big Point is giving us BBD again only for 25 Hours....I did not get the chance to do much breeding over the weekend as was too busy with RL. Did manage to complete Cry Babies Quest. As I do have lots of PF in stock. So Will Do Some Breeding as Need to Work on Getting Piggy Bank Pig and Sparkle Fish which are the last Two Breeding Animals to complete the Soup and Friends Quest. Perhaps do some Camel Breeding to Make More Orange Camel Pens

At Least we Might be getting Better Skips with our Sheep and Pig Breeding as I reckon the skips was hampered by these Baby Lambs and Baby Piglets. As I have notice this happen with Baby Ducks and Baby Chicks.

I be happy to do some Breeding as my CAC will run out by the time this event starts, still be time to put out all my Jumbo Trees plus High Level Animals Pens to get Good Amount of Valentine Drop Items when Valentine Event Starts

 

That is what happens when you are still logged in when the time expires. It will disappear once you get out and come back.

That was what I I thought, but it so happens I had been booted off the game and saw it when I logged back in, so went to clear cache and all that happy stuff, after cookies, cache were dealt with it did go away.

 

I am disappointed, it seems that they have tweaked the breading system, to rounds of breading with 14 stalls and 2 on the Island, the results are not encouraging at all, skips are limited by 2 levels only and the number of regulars is decreased, no more 4 and 6, so far my results are 1 colored + 2 regulars, or 2 colored only, one a higher level, and the other is the same or lower for breading level 2 and up, and I think this is what is stated in the news layer, no more twins.

Edit: sorry, I got twins now, I think they run it for 24 hours this time to test the changes.

I am going to breed again even though I'm running out of PF.


Used pheromones on 1 of the breeding pens. (so that I can know what my results will look like)
Result: 4 Normal Pigs = 2 Wooly Pigs


If the results are going to be like this it will take me years to get an wild boar because I'm really running out of power-feed.
Wish that there was a special rune in the Tree Of Wisdom. What does it do? Instead of 2 pf you only need 1 pf for breeding!

 

Ive so far not had any skips at all ... about to give it up as a bad joke .... not using all my powerfood for zip ....

 

I did do a few rounds and got a couple of skips that were up 2 levels. I tried a variety of animals as well. Out of pheromones and almost out of PF. Turning my focus to tomorrow's Valentine Event.

 

What is wrong with that You got two level 2 animals from regulars Most of my breeding results are like this or worse:

• brown pig + 2 or 4 regulars
• 2 brown pigs
• wooly + 2 or 4 regulars
• wooly + brown pig
• 2 wooly

If I get a better skip I am happy but I don't expect it all the time

 

Not sure why they are having a baby boom without a power feed sale. They are losing out and so are we, but I'm not paying full price for PF...

 

Is it just me or do others feel sad when baby boom is over? I was feeling that way Monday and Tuesday, and, to my happy surprise, I get to breed more babies already!

 

Did a few rounds of monkeys, got a howler from normals but mainly squirrels so I'm saving the rest of my precious PF and hoping for better times in future.

 

You weirdo farmer like me with 1000 powerfeed...

 

Got one phantom ostrich (level 6) plus a lovely cassowary (level 3) from 4 regular ostriches. I needed that phantom to build a red production pen (takes three of those), so yeah, obviously very nice.

But I think I needed a bit of luck. During the last BB I spend like 800+ PF on nothing but a couple of three level up skips and then tons of one level skips and some two level skips.

Pretty sure they lower the percentages of getting high skips during events that require level 1 and 2 breeds.

I'm happy with my new red production, though.

 

I got a phantom ostrich and an emu from 4 regular ostriches. I've been very lucky with ostriches lately. I now have a pair of phantoms and a skating ostrich. All in recent BBDs.

 

My best efforts so far have netted a Snowy, an Abracadabra and a Bridal Duck

I nearly had to call out for some help! Illy went breeding mad!

With a couple of hours of BB to go, she decided, after a couple of red punches, that she would breed a little - filled three fields (she had never done it on this grand a scale before but boosted by a pink jelly, well, there was no stopping her!). She even splashed out on some very expensive Pheromones in order to get the breeding over before the end of the event.

After a field of chickens produced little more than a couple of Crazy Chickens (it figures!), a field of crows one Convict and one Fiesta, she was really hoping her first major adventure of breeding would pay off on the island. Monkeys produced a few Chimps and a Howler (or maybe two) but the Camels fell very short of expectations - Snow Camels and Trimadaries.

Thankfully I managed to lock up her diminished supply of PF before she blew the lot! She is now laying down in a darkened room while she recovers muttering something about cuckoos!

 

I'm fine now - I've got it out of my system! Just had to do something to pass the time before the Valentine's Event starts and I just couldn't resist. When do I ever have excess PF after a BB weekend and Breeding Event? Managed to keep back 400 on this farm, 200 on Chevre and am milling the stuff like crazy and hoping that the next Breeding Event won't ask for wheelbarrow loads of the stuff!

I still had to do my main harvest this morning - can't bear to leave all those trees and workshops doing nothing. Working early tomorrow so I would miss the early morning harvest if I didn't do it this morning. But I have put out some animal pens in the hope that I will get a few extra Arrow Shafts in preparation for the Balloon Shoot Out!

I only put out a couple of houses. I got mallards. That's it, just mallards. I'm glad I didn't waste a lot of PF.
