I have most of the flowers except the poppies and I have planted them. My only problem is personal, I will be without access to a computer from 14th to 16th of Feb, so I may not have enough time to finish the quest.
    Those 10 GB's are so tempting. I desperately need those GB's :inlove::p

Hoping the drop rate is very very generous. :music:

Also, I am not very good at the Renzo fair games, so the mini game will be a dicey thing.

Just Read The Valentine Event FAQ happy that we will be able to get 10 GB only to those who are Level 51 or above, also need to be level 67 Farmer at least to unlock Cloud Row Item and Cloud Row.

I am now planting Super Trees, with Rare Animals plus Donkey Stables, on the island is mostly chopstick pens with Orange Animal Pens to Try get a Good Star on Drop Item of Arrow Shafts Mill These Cupid Arrows as soon as possible as we will be needing at least 640 Arrow Shafts, but if by bad luck miss shooting the Pink Balloons will be needing 132 Heart Drop Flowers and 8 Arrow Shafts and 15 Minutes Milling Time to Make for each additional Pink Suzy Balloon Shots

As I have got Ample Stock of Orchids,Tulips,Lily of Valleys,Lavender, Roses and Red Puppies will sell some of these for Profit

Mind you there will be a cloud row sale Tomorrow to opportunity to buy some Rare Bahm EP Givers add to the Ship Wreck Rather than use them for special cloud rows, using Pets and Buffs can get more Bahm EP for them.:p

Well, We scream for give us GB
So, BP listen & give us 10GB if you could finished LV 3
But that's the prize for players LV 51 upwards. If you don't got up that LV,
Unless, you like to spend BB to get through it.
there is nothing you could do. Pls only do lv 1 & 2, & then say goodbye to the
    valentines event.

As illy say, the skill to finished mini games (shot the pink balloons only)
look quite important. The Cupid's arrow need milling, if you miss hit too
much, pray that your drops is good enough to support your luxury missing!
thank god that you don't need to be hurry, You could aim your target slowly.

Again thousands of event crop (total 15000). I'm speehless.
However, at least BP give us something new on this event. a new growing
time crop 5 1/2 hour. a mini game to shoot some balloon.
will I do this event. why not. I had all other stuff (constantly keep crop above
@5000) maybe I could make a bit fortune on this.

Just get good preparation. try your best to get highest drops when event start.
Plant your longest high EP crop. remember to re-arrange your farm. should the
workshop & animal stables give way for your crops. check your artisan product,
don't find out you miss something & screw your starting.

Advise regarding lay out of fields please....Think I lost out on drops big time on the birthday event as I cleared majority of the fields to make space for the event crops. So what's best way of keeping good drop rate aswell as having enough space for event crop? I don't have many SG to use either so it's deffo space management for me this one! Any advice much appreciated!

You should plant your highest level crop the night before the event starts.
Then you should plant the event's plant in 2x2 fields and when you have enough you will plant it to 1x1 fields using CAC or PJ
I think I get more drops if I don't put out some high level pens like donkeys and productions pens, or pink-red-orange pens.

Thank you for telling me. I edited my post so it would be complete:)

    Hi fifitrixiebell :D

The one really important thing you can do for event drops is the following: Keep your farm busy!

What do I mean by that: Harvest as soon as possible after a crop is ready and replant immediately. Water your crops and animals :)

Overnight it is best to plant a longer crop, the same goes if you are out of the house for 8 hours. I know this is not possible for everyone, as they will then not have time to grow all the crops :( Just do the best you can :)

As to how many fields: It depends on how often you can harvest. It is way better to use all fields for event crops during the day with long crops overnight, than to use two fields for event crops if that means you have to plant event crops overnight too :)

All other things, like discussions about what is best of trees, stall, normal crops and event crops, are secondary, and I don't really think it matters so much.

The other important thing is of course the trophies :D Check this post for important info on the trophies if you haven't already :) It also contains other useful tips for events, well worth reading :D

I think I am going to replace the animal stalls with plots, it is better for me to finish the event crop first, and since it is 5 1/2 hours, so during the night I shall do long time crops for the drops, I usually keep about 1000 or more of each flower, just happens I am short of couple hundred of red poppies but that's not a problem, just want to see how is the reaction to the mini game after the event starts just in case to prepare some extra cupid arrows if the players feed back was not encouraging, any way it seems the requirements over all is not that high, and feeling sorry for the players who can't do the roses and the red poppies, I wish there is a way for you to finish that, whishing you all a happy Valentine, and good luck.

Thanks guys for your advice. Can I just ask, does everyone use the 2x2 or 1x1 or both depending what is on at the time? I have only ever used the 2x2 plots...am I going wrong doing this? Surely you use more seeds, water and manure in the 1x1? And I wasn't sure if to leave some stables/workshops out as I thought I seemed to get more drops from these than from just crops??

    puppiesnponies Living Forum Legend

I only use 2x2 to get the seeds started, then after a couple of rounds when I have enough seeds to fill the fields, I convert to 1x1. I now always use CAC but events can also be finished with PJ and they give a harvest boost that is critical with events requiring huge amounts of crops. I also only use super grow, Suzy spray and manure on these starter seeds. After that I only use water as manure is very expensive during events. You will get more drops from 1x1 than from 2x2 plots.

Oh right okey dokey, thank you for that @puppiesnponies , I didn't realise it gave more drops. I always use CAC or PJ though for sure!!

Hi Fifitrixiebell, In General 1x1 Crops Tends to have a better drop Rate than 2x2 unless you are using Comfort Fields. But Comfort Fields takes too long to grow also not effective compared with 1x1 used with CAC as you can yield more crops using CAC.

I agree with Mir85 is do not left your farm idle, when some fields is ready to be harvested. As it always good to plant your highest crops over night, The best drop crops to be used is carnations or use your highest crop level you have.

Also need to move around and maximise your Animal and Crops Trophies to boost drops but have them in the field it is placed in before reaping these crops. Also Use Howie Donuts too if any of you have these.

You can leave out Animal Stables instead of crops but best used the Longest Timed Animal Pens you have or even use Yellow/Orange/Red or Pink Stables any that you have you in your barn

I Strongly Advise to Grow additional crops of Heart Drop Flowers to those aiming to unlock Valentine for Suzi and The Cloud Row.

For Those Who have Supergrow and is willing to use these, can use Supergrow Cloud Row Booster also use White Innocents for Gold Slot and Rune Boost Supergrow too works more effective using Comfort Fields. If those of you have refinements on Roses...Which I have using Supergrow on Roses can be done Instantly on Comfort Fields this certainly helps boost your drops during these events

    fifi,
    https://board-en.farmerama.com/index.php?threads/general-event-strategies.10970/
I started that thread so we don't have to read the same information over and over in every event thread leaving Event strategy threads for event specific info only.

I've never had much luck with Renzo so I'm not very excited about the mini-event portion. If they really do move at a slowish pace like in the video, I might be able to do them without too much loss.

I have most the the regular plants asked for. Bit low on tulips. Price is probably high by now so I will probably buy them from the seed store or grow them myself. I'm feeling lazy today so I'll plant carnations tonight. I don't like the BEP from the event crops so I won't use the Island for event crops, just main, Meadow and Glade. I'll start milling the arrows as soon as possible so I will have some to work with. The rest is plant/harvest til done. Maybe... day 5 for me.

With you on the mini event dislike, Suzee. I have no hand-eye co-ordination as proven by whack-a-rabbit miss-a-mole at Renzo's, but otherwise the GBs are a welcome surprise and the cloud row too - do we think that one is because they "fixed" the tree rune?;):p

maybe we should ask for a "redo" of the rune.
