Can both of these be used together for Midnight Mania?

    Yes!

Pumpkin jam - a diamond buff slot gives +1 crop per plot
Terror bouquet - a gold buff slot reduces grow time of spooky crops by 20%

Thank you. Additional questions if I may: When you refer to it as a diamond buff slot or Gold buff slot, that doesn't mean I have to place it any where in particular does it? Is there a specific order that I should eat or place each of these. Should they be both placed prior to planting, or, just prior to harvesting? Thanks for any advice you wish to share.

Hi, WallawD2, I think you are newbie for the artisan product.
yes, each artisan product had to put on relevant place. if you put your mouse on
the product, the tooltip will show it belong to gold or diamond or silver category.
The order to eat which product is depend on usage of product.
Like pumpin jam type of product (same is pineaplle cake, CAC) it increase your
harvest qty (+1 or +2) or like EM(Easter Marmalade) increase the EP boost. (+30%)
You should eat it before your harvest.
For those speedup your grow of stable or crop (Valentine pot, Terror bouquet) you
should eat them before you plant or feed.

On the left of you screen and under the tab that shows the events and there remaining time there is another tab like a shield with your banner on it which shows the buffs you have from the cloud raws or mill subscription and there is also some slots for the artisan village, when you eat a product that activates a buff it is shown there, these slot are 1 diamond, 2 gold slot, and 4 silver slots, which means you can have 7 buffs total activated at the same time from the products on any order you like, it does not matter, just keep in mind some buffs need to be activated before harvesting, and some buffs should be activated before sowing the fields or feeding your stalls and workshops, and there is also some buffs that does not need a slot that have different effect like Pinki Pie Pie which extends the time of all active buffs by 25% and does not take a slot, notice also that you can eat more than 1 product to have double the time or triple, like pumpkin jam, carrot apple chutney, pink jelly and terror bouquet or so, these will not take extra slot, like if you eat 2 pumpkin jam, both are placed on 1 slot.

    I hope this may help.

Talking about buffs, I have set upon a trick to sort of get more buffs active at once. I use a church bouquet or guava jam to boost my workshop speed, then I delete it and put in my valentines flower pot, to speed up my animal pens. I leave that one. I still, then can use either CAC or pink jelly, etc.

This is not quite as wasteful as it sounds, since my workshops come "due" more or less at the same time and the buff doesn't last long enough to boost more than one round of workshops anyway. (or I won't be here to use it at the precise times, more to the point)

I do that during various events, normally I just keep what I want "stacked", it they basically always run.

I find it a great trick! Thank you for sharing!:D I think I will do it soon but not to reduce production pens time because I have 2 cloud rows that help me with that.

Thanks to all for your advice and explanations. Is there a thread, that explains what each buff does and/or how it should be used, or, is some of this just trial and error?

There is some mention here, but you can also go to the FAQs. That will give you a complete list. ( have copied 4, the FAQs were on page 5 of the Game FAQs
The list of buffs (recipes) and what is required as well as what they do is listed near the end of each section, in a big chart.

There is likely information on refinements somewhere, too.
