Stars

We can get stars from refinement? How have I missed this?! I admit I'm lazy when it comes to the green house because I find it so tedious and often forget about it, but still.

 

With you all the way KMellish. I too am irritated by the lack of stars and had I been given advance warning of this change I would have chosen what to open a little more selectively. I am now stuck with a measly 52 stars, which won't get me anything that is left. I have very few quests left to do in the FSQ so no way of earning the stars I want to open the runes I want. I have been playing for roughly the same length of time as you and have completed most of the events going, I have the star giving cloud row and a reindeer pet. I am most concerned about the promise of new ways to earn them - fear of having to pay more RLMoney creeping in.
I also missed the whole earning stars from refinements - off to check out the FAQ!

Thanks SillyGuy - been playing with refinements for a while now and only got cc, ep or seeds back so I think that is a very small medium chance of getting a star .

 

The funniest thing is we have been doing the old stuff again... I forgot when I did it at the last time...
Researching on the large chance (the largest pots) in the green house and doing on certain crops that you have all refinements (possibility to earn a star at 20% of chance).
At this case, I have all refinements on strawberry.

Thanks SillyGuy for telling us about the green house stars. I guess I must've either missed it when reading the FAQ back when it was first introduced or simply forgot about it. Either way, you mentioning it now has made me more motivated to do refinements so even if I'm unlucky and won't get many stars from it, I'm grateful for the inspiration. Perhaps I'll continue to be more ambitious with them now.

Any and all can lead to refinements. You have a chance to get stars when the refinement fails.

If you have these, you are well above most of us who have no chance to even earn these things any more, other than the farmer quests and wuzzle.

 

All crops, woody..
A random compensation based on the cultivated plant and searched Greenhouse size. In my opinions, the largest pots (required for the biggest numbers of crops) are the best chance, as long as nothing any refinements needed to research. I'm sure with this strategy.
Perhaps, Exchange Value of the crops also affected. Not so sure with this one!

I was a bit disappointed about Stars being phased out for events too. I have to admit that I don't really understand what the problem is. We all have (and have had) the same opportunities to gain stars by doing events (in the past) or completing FSQs which we have decided to do or not to do, according to our particularly farming penchant.

Any new player is going to be at a disadvantage if compared to existing players, how can replacing the current Star system change that? The game is all about building up stocks of whatever we want or need, Stars and Golden Bananas are just a part of that. I have played this game almost since it started and I have seen things come and go but I would be very sad to see Stars go. It is one of those things that we aim for ... more Stars to get the next thing on the Tree of Wisdom or save them for whatever comes next. It is part of the hoarding strategy this game encourages!

 

Why the complaint about extra stars? Don't we all have extra M6 coins? I don't understand why people are complaining. Those who complained, you got a new use for your stars in the breeding packages on the tree. You didn't get a "trade-in" of stars for GB so now you've ruined it for new players that need stars. Stop complaining.

 

True - my point being that I have been playing for roughly 3 years so have earned both of these (that's 2 stars a week for anyone wondering), so if I am at a disadvantage then newer players have no chance.

 

I have been having mixed emotions since this whole star business came out I have been playing a little over a year and don't have nearly enough stars to open all the runes that I would like to. It has really put a damper into how much effort I want to put into things. I for one couldn't wait until I finished the M6 quest so I would quit gathering the coins. What was the purpose of having so many of those things? Yet they decide to take away stars when those are used to help you succeed in this game Next survey I do will def have different answers from me although I don't know how much difference it will make

 

I think I'm going to be very picky about what events to participate in now that there will be no stars in them. Doesn't feel worth it unless the prizes are stuff I'm dying to get. This farm wasn't high lvl enough to do the chameleon event anyway, but I even skipped it on my high lvl because of the lack of stars and haven't even bothered to put a single chameleon stable out there, ever. I'm better off ignoring events and stick to FSQs if they won't come to their senses and put the event stars back in.

 

Agree. I am not saying the loss of stars is a good thing. I just was a bit confused by your additions. Seemed as if you were saying you did not have a problem.

I would be interested to know if new people really can get all the runes opened without event stars. My feeling is it would be very hard, depend on drops from wuzzle and the like, but I am not awake enough to do the addition.

 

with out event stars woody, that shall take for ever, it took me more than 2 years not missing 1 event to finish the tree, now we have good news, stars are back to the chameleon quests (the permanent quests) at a better quantity, but still we don't know if it is this time only or the developers changed their mind about the event stars.

 

I did Count on All My Stars on This Farm...Here is some useful Info.

• To Unlock all the Runes on the Glade of Wisdom Tree is 6840 Stars (Including Two New Chameleon Runes)
• I have unlock 3680 worth of Stars on The Glade of Wisdom Tree
• I have 3160 worth of Glade Runes still to Unlock
• As I have 3223 Stars in My Barn, if i unlock all Star Runes I will have 63 Stars Remaining
• As I have 443 Breeding stars still to unlock ( These Including 120 Stars for Completing Chameleon Breeding Quest)
• The Remaining Quests Stars to unlock is Total of 427 Stars
• If I completed all Quests and Unlock all Glade Runes I would have 933 Surplus Stars

The Reason is to why I have this Many Surplus Stars is by completing many Events and Mini Events that gives Stars over the last four years or so since i have been playing this Game.

It the Last couple of years I have been able to complete All Events, not in the First Year Though as it takes a while to build up your farm of healthy stocks of crops, animals, products,breeding animals and Artisan Crafts

For Any Farmer who have started this game bit later than me. It will be much harder to get the needy Stars to unlock all Runes on Glade Tree. In Fact it is impossible for many of you to be able to do this. Hopefully Big Point will Give you More Stars in events and quests from now on.

For a Farmer like me these additional Stars will just get added to my Surplus Stars Pile. Hey BigPoint there is no harm in this, as I wait for new Glade Runes to unlock as it part of Loyalty High Level Farmer Rewards. But My heart goes to those who not been playing this game as long as i have but they do their best to their best abilities.

I am Very Please that Big Point has Changed their Mind about Rewarding Stars to Quests But will they give stars to Events too. There is no Harm to Bring Back Events that Players can Redo Events for Extra Stars and Rewards for BB.

 

Looks like the bigpoint/farmerama team had a change of mind! Yeah!

I have used 2605 runes... I just yesterday opened the rune for the last cloud row, already have spa, the trophy slot, the first branch (wanted vacation and the neighbor slots.. not sure it was the best choice, but its past). I got a couple of the animals/breeding runes, will most likely work on a few more.

Mooboy -- why on earth are you holding on to the stars?
