Building Mats

We should be able to make this and sell in the market. How do you get the building mats I want to start making the products. I still need 190 bricks and 154 roof tiles. Is there a guide to get this stuff. This is an idea and a question. Did a search for building mats and nothing came up so a reply and information how to get this stuff will be much help. Thanks.

 

Building materials???? They are called tools and you get them as drops, your neighbors can gift some to you or you can buy them in the shop in town.

 

But, when i gift a toolbox it don't say what tools i got? like it says name sent you a toolbox but noting went down to the bottom right corner saying what i got?

 

If you gift a toolbox to someone else, no. If someone gives you an item, what you got should be listed. Similarly, if you buy a toolbox, you will get a list of items you got after you buy it. If you are asking can you choose what tools you get, no. The What you get is random. Some tools come often, some are quite rare. There are some refinements and artisan recipes that can increase your chance of getting tools in general or even specific items. You can bring up a list at the bottom center of your screen (those little green arrows). Scroll through it until you find the gift from your neighbor. If it doesn't already say what tools you got, click on the gift message and it should tell you.

 

I tried that BC to see what tools came from friends/neighbors and when I click on the gift message, it opens the gifting window. No idea what was in the gift...keeping an eye on my drip tanks in the barn in case one shows up in a toolbox gift.

This is how mine shows it: Just above the who sent is another box with the what detail. Yes, I know sometimes stuff gets cut off. The go to the gift menu is something I've never seen before but I tried it and it does indeed go there.

 

There are many 'refinements' available in the greenhouse. It takes time and lots of crops but there are several of each that produce increased drop rates of bricks and roof tiles when you harvest them. If you just scroll down the crop section and you can see which crops offer which 'refinements'.

Beware that it takes 2500 coins and 24 hours to change a refinement once you slot it into the refinery, so you might only want to place ones you are very interested in.

Strawberries and Lilac increase hammer drops for building production buildings. Hammers are very rare in toolboxes [personal experience]...but neighbors gifts have better luck to give them to you.

Also if you have BB's you can invest in a chicken pet, it takes a week to grow and then one can harvest 2x a day and it gives 10 tools per harvest. I quite like mine since I want to build a lot of different production buildings. I did every reasonable quest I could find that gave toolboxes and spent a fortune on buying xxl and lg toolboxes and was very very unhappy with the result. I am much happier with my strawberry hammer drop and my chicken

OOHHH and I almost forgot... doing those trophy quests where you give crops or animals to get a farming trophy helps a lot too. I would advise just giving what you can without interfering in your other quests since the higher levels take tons and tons of crops/animals.... I only have 9% in crops bonus and already it really helps in those long overnight crops to increase the drops.
