Thanks Mir for your wonderful plan/strategy.I followed it and almost got it done with the overnight watermelons and three rounds of pumpkins. So I finished in 14 hours - almost in 11...

When I knew I had enough in the fourth round of pumpkins, I was able to choose which fields - Main or Baha - to keep for my EP after the stage one of the event was complete

Okay step 1 and 2 down. Growing watermelons for three. Have enough pumpkins for 4 then it is on to growing enough of each for 5. Have moustachs going also. Up graded animal trophy. Only have three more levels left. Not sure I will ever get those done. Never seem to have enough animals to spare

 

Oh dear, how can someone mess up an event like that? Yesterday I had enough pumpkins and watermelons to fill a field with 1x1 plots, thought I change my fields after the last harvest and spend a quest-level for the harvester then today ... Guess who forgot the last harvest? This event isn't really going my way... Started the timer now anyway, not going to wait for another day. At least those pumpkins had a good night's rest

 

Avienne, I did the exact same thing. Started the timer this morning anyway, gotta get some of this event done at least!

 

Well, after my first harvest of all CW on comfortfields (and 1x1 plots where left over) with ZAB, EM and CB activated I'm already missing about 3.5k EP because everything behind the decimal isn't counted. I will NOT be a happy camper if I can't complete step 1 at 65k if it's because of everything behind the decimals not being counted

This is totally unfair!

On a slightly happier note, I've got 37k EP after my first harvest, so with a bit of luck I'll get the 65k anyway. I've also got 275 mugs now, so that's going good too. I'll keep my fingers crossed that I'll get the 65k EP needed to complete step 1 fully. If I don't complete step 1 and it's because of the missing points, I'll send BP an official complaint, I think. After all, if everything behind the decimal can be counted for our level EP, than it can surely be counted for a timed event like this too! I don't see the logic of two technically different counters.

 

Julie - the decimals that are not being counted are not the field harvest total but rather the decimals per plot. When the counter ignores the per plot decimal, you can definitely have a difference of 40 EP per field per harvest (perhaps more). It is very likely you did indeed have enough EP for the bear since you were so close. The FAQ has now been updated with the disclaimer but it will mean that you actually have to aim to get more then 65k EP from the timed quest. I don't know how much more since EP is going to be dependent on how many plots you use, buffs, pets, cloud row....

All I can say is Good Luck and I feel your pain!

Edit: Sorry...just a clarification. EP is EP and as it is only the decimals that are not being included in the count, the most you can lose is a fraction of 1 EP per plot, the most being 202 plots on the main farm and green meadow. It can still be hundreds per harvest so while it is true you need more than 65k EP to complete the timed section, what needs to be considered during strategies is how many harvests it will take to get there and what buffs need to be applied to support your own schedule. Probably need closer to 67-70k to meet the requirement.

 

I am not a 100% sure, but I doubt you can be missing that much since it is the decimals that are not being counted, I don't think one can loose more than 1 EP per plot. And if you planted on comfort fields, you probably had less than 300 plots, so a maximum of 300 EP should be missing.

Julie - I do not think you've lost a lot of it (3.5k EP (?)). We can ONLY grow crops on 169 Comfort Fields, so we lose less than 169 EP each turn if you kept to grow crops on CF.

 

It would be great if my calculations were wrong, but.... When I had harvested my mainland the counter under my level bar said 11500 something (a little more than 11500, but I don't know the exact number anymore). When I checked the timer, it said I had gotten 10500 EP points (first time harvest for step 1 )
After I had harvested the meadow (after having moved the trophies there, logged out and logged back in), again I had 11500 something, which should give me a total of 23k in the timer. However, the timer said I had about 21k EP.
After harvesting the glade and Baha I should have about 40k+ points according to the counters under my level bar, but I'm stuck at 37k in the timer.
None of my fields have any EP givers, besides of course the park, but I'm not counting the park obviously.

So....... what's wrong? Is the counter under my level bar counting wrong? Cause that's the only thing I checked. I didn't make any calculation based on the fields and my buffs (Comfortfields, ZAB, EM, CB, SSG). All I did was check the EP under my level bar. Just wondering what I'm missing

I've got Cubed Pumpkins running at the moment, so I'll definitely check to see what happens when I can harvest those. And of course I'll report it back here. Who knows, maybe I'm just seeing things ,... wrong that is

 

Everybody, I have made a huge mistake and I realized what I was doing wrong about 30 minutes ago. I have apologized to teddy for this and asked her to delete my previous post. I was thinking they meant the decimals up in the bar and then it clicked in my addled brain they were talking about the decimals on individual plots which makes it different. Now I know this and am truly sorry to all for my post. As I told teddy, I am going to eat my crowpie now

Errr, me? Nope, no pets. I had comfort fields on all fields (mainland, meadow, glade and baha) sprayed them with SSG, SG and watered them all yesterday evening before I went to bed. I activated the CAC, ZAB, EM, CB and PPP this afternoon before I started the harvest.

 

The Ep shown is sometimes wrong, it happens during happy stable day, happy harvest day, it has to do with the different buffs.

So on you main field you 44 comfort fields with cubed watermelons, what about the 1x1 fields around?

 

julie - as far as I am concerned, it was a misunderstanding and nothing to apologize for. The timer is still off and for those who are so close (as you were previously for the bear), it can be a big problem.

 

Ah, than that might be the case here too.... Confusing as heck though!

Just to clarify and to see if we can get to the bottom of this problem (sorta speak ):
I had cubed watermelons on the mainland, meadow and the glade full with Comfortfields with SSG and the other buffs as mentioned above. Remaining plots were all 1x1 cubed watermelons. no SSG, but I did use of course the other buffs did apply to these 1x1 (or at least should have. I assume those functioned properly. I didn't check that...).
I have baha not fully opened (3/4), so I used comfortfields there as much as possible together 1x1 plots, all filled with Cubed Watermelons (my workers on my farm were extatic, we had a true Cubed watermelon flood )

 

I am trying to do some tests and calculations. Before you harvest next time, check you much EP you have (not on the event but on the EP bar) before and after.

Julie, it was clear that it was a misunderstanding, and it is not so easy to get all the details when you are upset Hope you will be able to finish

 

(B)EP from regular crops, workshops, stables, trees, or EP giver will not count into the bar.

Is there one of them when you harvest in conjunction with event crops, Sheriziya?

 

She already explained that the whole farm was covered with cubed watermelons
