Hmmmmm ... remember pheromones? You could only get them as gifts or by spending BB's. BP then made them available on the market, and after the initial frantic buying and selling, they settled at about 20-30cc each. Now they are over 300cc each in my market and go as high as 500cc during BB or breeding events. Cuckoos will take longer to grow than chickens and will be more expensive to grow as well..... I think those little critters will go well up in price in time, so might be worth stocking up

My Animal Trophy is at 14% it just going to cost me so Many Cuckoos to Complete the Animal Trophy to 15%. As The 1% More on Animal Trophy is not going to made a huge difference in Boosting Drops. As We Have Cloud Row to Boost Bahm Drops. I have Also have 4 Howie Donuts. Plus I have Refined Roses can use these to Boost Drops using Comfort Fields using Supergrow.

Alternatively I use Jumbo Trees more Often Now since i have started to slow down Hoarding Crops, Now Start to Build up, Supergrow, Suzy Supergrow, Products and Animals

Each Golden Moustache needs 8 Cuckoos as they will be pricey to Make that what my instincts tells me. The Price of Cuckoos will Start to Climb than Current Prices.

The New Cuckoos Coops I will not be needing or using these since will have huge stock of Cuckoos and Cuckoos Feeds. There is some Cuckoos Breeding Quests that is needed to be completed as they are going to become permanent Quests.

That is good thing to point out Kmellish. The Cuckoo Coops takes longer to grow then Chickens. Rightly So Kmellish that cuckoo feeds will remain pricey. Which would also Push up prices of Crops Circles and Angel Trumpets to what they were before Comic 8 Event Started :p

Cuckoos take 1 hour 25 min and a base chicken pen takes 1 hour 30 min. Cuckoo pens will be on sale in the future but are reported to be expensive so it was good for players to get the ones as prizes from the event (I don't call them 'free' because they did have an opportunity cost). Still, if you can afford it, it is a good idea to have some stock.

Too bad I had already finished my trophies a while ago, these Cuckoos would have been perfect to help complete them. Now I'll probably just keep them in my barn and hope to reduce them during breeding or by putting them into the new workshop (strange 8 animal requirement!). Sadly I'll most likely never set a Cuckoo Coop on my farm, would be a waste of time and space with the stockpile I have.

Where did you find the times? In my inventory both Coops show that they take 1 hour 30 minutes, only difference is that Cuckoos give a great 1.5 EP more....and hopefully a Cuckoo...

    You're right Michael...I made a mistake. I am sorry....

I was trying to provide some clarifying info since above the discussion states that cuckoos take longer than chickens.

Sorry, not a problem, but as it goes with the game you never know if the info is correct, wrong or actually both....as we learned now a Toolbox is not a Toolbox.....and what you see is not necessarily what you get.....

I remember once mentioning that I hadn't finished off my trophies because my drop amounts were good, did not want to sacrifice my animal stock. The opportunity came & well the trophies are maxed out now:) thanks to those funny little cuckoo's.
60K of them left the barn for new horizons and 30k are in the process of moving in.
We all need to attend the next meeting 8)

Sorry...guess today is not my day to post...I am not very clear this morning...the stock I meant (if you could afford to buy) was not the cuckoo pens but rather the animal as these lower than EV prices. I don't know how expensive BP thinks is 'expensive' but it will probably be more than I want to pay.

The term exchange value is being used here. Yes there are proper ways to use it. Aluntino explained the term very well. Yes, I pushed to use it and using it will cause some to abuse it without understanding its true meaning.

I have found no where in the Farmerama literature that exchange value should be inferred to indicate future value. Some here are betting on cuckoos exceeding its exchange value. THERE IS NO GUARANTEE that cuckoos will exceed their exchange value or that they will follow a pattern similar to that of pheromones. Exchange value is a fixed number which may be used as PART of an analysis.

I know some understand and my message is not intended for you. For all else: CAUTION!
