Camel vs panda breeding

Hey all, can anyone refer me to the faqs for the above? I can't find them anywhere, and am trying to decide which of these, if either, to open. Decision would be based on which would gain me most Baha ep when completed. I'm considering opening them before shipwreck bay or last page in the temple... Any thoughts on whether this is wise? xxx

If you want to boost your BEP, I would recommend colored stables and workshops, they are give much more BEP per time than crops and trees. And the colored panda pens are better than the colored camel pens

I looked, now are you talking about the ones built with tool drops in the workshop or the buy the animal from the shop then get yellow orange etc...
I want to do this on the Island but, when I do animal holders I want to get the right ones for max. BEP.

Don't do yellow... just go for orange. Yellow gives slightly more EP. Orange gives more EP AND 2 animals each.
I differ from Mir in that I don't use workshops, other than chopsticks. I get more from selling the animals and buying punch/chocolate pancakes/orange-mango smoothies to level up. However, a lot depends on your market. I have not done a full comparison recently.

I have not gone for red pens, just orange. If considering it, think about the cost/benefit of selling those animals and buying BEP products versus the pens. That is, how much punch/CP/MOS can you buy versus the increased return from selling the animals for a red pen over an orange pen. (selling regular and breeding animals, also versus using them to finish the breeding quest levels)

There is no "right" answer, though. (I can say that if I am still around for the next G & T, I will be going for all pink pens -- if I don't already have them by then)

OH, I definitely agree with mir on the holding pens... I, too, just use them to store mid-upper level breeding animals so I don't accidentally sell them when I am trying to breed up. In the excitement of BBD and so forth, sometimes its easy to get excited and sell an animal I was saving to breed.

 

For me it works out well

I harvest those workshops twice a day with 6 owls, two flying unicorns and a dragon. That brings me 27000 BEP per day, which would cost me 120000 CC if I was buying red punch or MOS instead.

In addition I have a small profit from the products (after subtracting cost of animals, feed and market fee).

The pets make a big difference of course

 

Yes, I think that is the key. It also makes a difference if you are able to harvest more than once a day, etc.

keltic --- The best bet is to take "all" of our advice and then compare it for yourself. What is best really depends on many factors, including what your goals are. For example, if you really want to get to, say, open the harbor (or whatever) quickly, then it might make sense to sell and buy.. but if you are looking more at longer term, permanent returns, then getting higher level pens will pay off eventually. Or, you can shoot for a short term goal first, then move up to longer term goals (that last is basically what I am doing/have done).

BUT... above all, do what gives you the most fun.. this is not supposed to be drudgery.

 

I chose to open pandas breeding(even before pandas) because I had already 333(or around there) from a bonus code. I now try to gather a lot of camels before I unlock their breeding. So this is what it made me chose pandas because I had already had a lot of them since breeding needs large amounts.

Mir85: Yes, that is exactly what I needed. I was going to go for the museum pens <the one you use for candy goat, nice by the way> now i know go for oranges. Pets, ok I read you can only have one of the same type of pet per area, do you move your dragon around?
Need to add pets to my thinking.

woody, nice, things to add to my plan. Orange, get a twofer, EP and animal nice, nice. Yes, I use parts of all ways, right now, what to do while working to longer goals, and long term plans, lots of areas but it works.

Arielh, Thank-you, but edibles are still a shakie area for me, when to eat how to use what order, I am still too new to lean on this area, in time.
I need to build a store of these, some I don't see any use for, just means I don't know enough. I will be getting into confectionery real soon, just got the last of the bricks not too long ago, now have to feel that area out, some investment seems to need to be made.

you don't need to put your dragon/pet around. once you activate it, it affect all farm
field (i.e. Main farm & island as well)
So, you know if you had more pet, once you activate, more EP boost you got.
For buying pet, It really depend on your style of play, if you are money spending
player. Pet is a must to buy.
But, if you are free player. You know you could earn BB not only on level up , some old farm society
quest still give BB as prize, also watching movie is a good way. 20movie point for 1 BB
Spend some BB on buying pet is good for long term farming. esp when BP start to have
events ask for EP as target.
Regarding buy what pet. I remember there is a thread talking this. But always bear in
mind. to best use of your BB. spend it when there is a shop half sales event.

Yes, I learned that the hard way, this game really has to place a welcome email with a link to the forums, the mentally lacking would reeeally benefit from it. Half off would have been nice in the beginning.

Alas,I am a 3rd party player IE: no movie for me. so no way to watch my way to BB's.
I broke down and got chickens. Tools it seems are going to be a main thing for me so yeah, I don't mind a few bucks for my fun.
I can only see dragon at the rizzo fair, I figure at 13 coin every time the pop a mole comes I should be able to get a dragon in 6 years .

Haven t read my way to uni's yet, getting there, I am just so happy with the bats, I, me finally won ep maker things, and errie ones, I am so happy.
Now I will go read pets, I thought all were only good to the field they are on, I am wrong, go figure, I will need to find out who is what and get me more of these items.
EP as a target, nice if stars were not bad enough.......
