Strategy: Ocean Day

I just put out my first plume pools and I guess I wasn't paying attention to the FSQ as much as I should have been since I didn't notice they give a boatload of BEP each. Makes for a change in my game plan as I'm finding it much easier to give up a chunk of my hammer hoard in exchange for the BEP. I might just do more of this event then I first planned to for entirely different reasons.

 

Ok Mir i'll go the way you said only i have a date day with hubby Tomorrow so will plant just before we leave ..... i mean how long will a date day have to last for about 6ish hours i think should be more than long enough LOL ....

 

Ok guy's question ..... can you feed the plume pools with powerfeed ?
just thinking i'm behind the ball because of my night being right as the event starts so i'm still getting crop numbers up ... so can i powerfeed them till i can get the required numbers of event plant?

To me the only downfall of this event is the growing time of the seaweed,it needs to be 4 hours,but we are stuck with it,i have jumbo trees of suzys super grow,super grow and turbo in my fields that i will not remove,its the only way to try to build up enough of this stuff to help these crops in these events to grow faster and larger harvest.so i am stuck sharing my fields with both event crops and the things i already have in place,i have built 20 of the event stables and thats all i am going to do,because i still need to build up all my regular bahamarama crops and trees and animals,whatever i finish this event with is what i finish with

 

2 harvests within a half hour of the same trees? i must be missing something here, how?

 

Just harvest 3 full fields of event crops on 1x1 plots. I got

Mainfarm - 19 sea salt

Green Meadow - 23 sea salt

Magical glade - 25 sea salt

Bahamarama - 25 sea salt ( a full field of Ginger on 1x1 plots)

Total drops 92 drops

My LL trophies are at 30%

Nice info on Trees OldMacDonald88 on Event Drops. But Many are getting Better Drops on Carnations which has lesser Growing Times than Those Trees. The Longest Island Crop is Ginger.

Aisyahsaad I Harvest Almost the same as you except harvested Green Tea and Trophies at 29% I would have got more with Howie Donuts lol

I have put out 20 Plume Pools and Eaten Cheese Balls and Valentine Pots and Easter Cloud Row and play date cloud row Sea Plumes Takes 2 Hours 8 Mins to Grow including Stable Master Rune

 

3 fields of seaweed on 1x1s gave me

Mainfarm - 17 drops

G.Meadow - 14 drops

Mag. Glade - 20 drops

And Ginger on Baha - 27 drops

I do not raise those sea plumes yet but I have already built 41 Plume Pools and my Baha mill is busy milling those 250 Plume feeds. While waiting for the feeds to be ready I grew Hibiscus and Cactus on 1x1s. I need this crops to donate into the Castles in the sand quest.

You are not. Premium players have an auto-harvest feature which means they can delay their tree harvests to their benefit. However, the trees continue producing meaning after 39 hrs if you use auto-harvest, you get the 20 hr harvest and after an hour you get the next (40hr) harvest.
That way you can get the two harvests close to each other...

 

Oh Bhodho ive never known how the tree auto harvest worked ,,,, so i've left it turned off ,,,,,as i dont' fully understand it

 

Sheesh! This one is a tricky devil! Thought I had enough stuff for the first level only to find I now have to put out the pools and harvest the plumes! I really should try to read the FAQs instead of whizzing through them and planting/milling haphazardly!

Now I have planting sorted, am milling as and when and have 30 pools out on this farm and 35 on the other farm. I am getting more or less the required amount of drops. Now is there anything I haven't got covered?

I have been away, during which I had a serious computer problem, but I still managed to finish the last event - on both farms! So, all things being equal and the fact that I am not working (as far as I know) throughout this event, I should be okay! Famous last words.

 

I have start raising those sea plumes in 41 Plume pools. Consumed Valentine's Pot and Cheese ball and Pinkie Pie Pie. Plus cloud row
5% reducing time on animal stables and stable master rune they only takes 2 hours and 18 minutes. Planted Vanilla on the remaining plots. Of course on 1x1s.

Using 41 pools means only 12 rounds needed to raise those sea plumes to get 490 sea plumes. I wanted to get those 490 plumes as soon as possible so I can grow Baha crops (on 1x1s) to help me with the drops. No more trees or workshops during event as it takes longest time.

The only downside when I ate Valentine's Pot and Cheese ball I cannot eat ZAB and EM. But that is ok.. I will only eat CB then.

Valentines pots won't boost the pools, since they are workshops. You need to use bouquets.

 

It is a bit confusing, even though they are build in the workshops, the plume pools are stalls, not workshops. The products that reduce the time are valentines pot, eggnog and cheese balls

 

First, check to see if you have some unused harvester coupons, (if you cannot afford to buy the harvester function for a time). If so, use them and go with the 1 X 1. Else....
Just my opinion, but you get close to the same harvest with comfort fields and 1X1, if you use supergrow (green) and suzy supergrow (the propeller/airplane). I don't know about the drop rates.

They might be classed as both, then. The bouquets and guava jam reduced my growth time.

 

Really the cloud row that reduces time for workshops does not work, but the cloud row for stalls did.
