Hi, I'm sorry to hear you are not enough drops to complete this event.:(

I've been playing around one year and would be easily completed it soon. I'm 77 drops short and 70 plumes short, but I already mill all the plume feeds. I'm sure everyone who succeed today, because :
    • following each step of General Event Strategies.
    • their farms are never idle.
    • make a schedule.
    • planted their longest growing crops when overnight.
    • used Super-Grow Love refinement on rose.
And there will be a SOS Thread on each event for those who need a helping hand from fellow farmers to finish or achieve personal goals during the event.

Hi SillyGuy, good points :) but I don't think you mean exactly this:
My longest crop takes over 14hrs to mature with water, there is no need to plant that overnight. The key is to plant a crop that finishes at the time when you can harvest in the morning, and not three hours before, so that you don't leave your farm idle. I am sure this is what you meant, I just wanted to make it clear so that no one (hopefully :p) is confused.

I would also like to point out that the last point with Super-grow + refinements is a very good option to have. But for long time farmers it shouldn't be necessary to use it to finish this event.

pferdepferdefarm, maybe you could tell us a bit more about what you did, maybe we can give you some advice. Like for instance: how many harvest a day? What did you grow overnight (both farm and baha)? Did you have long term crops ready to harvest at event start? Do you have the living legend rune open? If not, do you move the trophies? And what percentage are your trophies?

Mir - I would love some advice
I planted and used everything on the first 10 plants in a 2x2 and kept doing that until I had enough to plant 1x1.
I did keep 3 rare trees out and 3 goat/turkey pens - but ended up deleting them by Saturday (pens not trees)
1x1 spots per field - meadow 192, main 202, glade 100 (only 2 fields open)
I have started early and used a CAC for three days getting in 2-3 harvests per day - only have water to use on crops.
I am still in need of 4873 seaweed, 949 salt, 356 sea plumes and 130 plume feed.

I am considering not making any more plume feed and purchase some power feed to save on the drops needed for salt.
Also I am just thinking of trying to complete the first two steps to get all the stars.
Don't have a lot of money to spend and my drop rates have been low.
My highest crop was Radishes (leveled up now have asparagus but need to buy seeds and finish seaweed first)
    Grapes on Baha.
Baha has been working 25 plum pools and with the singles around the edges growing crop.

Hope this is enough detail - thanks so much

frmrlife - I am going to chime in here even though your question was directed to Mir:)

If your highest crop was radishes, that means your farm level is 47. I think you should be proud of what you have accomplished so far. It takes time to be able to complete events and in time you will. You are doing everything you can with the 1x1 and CAC but at level 47 with limited space available (both Baha and glade) and more than likely trophies that do not have a high percentage combined, you will not be able to get the drops needed and even with help from friends and neighbors sending you salt, it would not be enough. I think you should aim for some of the nice prizes, be proud of your efforts but realize that completing this event (unless you purchase drops with real money) is not very likely. It is labeled as hard and those who are high level farms (twice your level or higher) are finding it challenging to get it done too.

    My advice:
Work on opening up more land on the glade and Baha
Work on increasing your trophy percentages
For events, concentrate on what you can do and gain some lovely prizes along the way
    Enjoy your farm!:)

frmrlife: I am level 87 and am not going to be able to complete event either so do not despair. I just did what I wanted to do as I knew I would not be able to finish this one. I also agree you should work towards opening all fields you can as this does help with most events.

Hi frmrlife :) I agree with puppiesnponies :) This event was labeled hard, and I wouldn't expect that a player at your level should finish it. Although the prizes are very nice, it is not worth going all in for them. I would focus on developing the farm, like pnp said. Someday you will get there :)

I wouldn't waste PF on the plumes, just finish what you can, and leave the rest. There will be other events (soon) with other prizes :)

In the General Event Strategies thread you will find lots of advice for future events. There is a lot of information, but I would say the two most important things to improve your drops are:
    • The trophies, read more about them in the General Event Strategies.
    • Not leaving your farm idle: Have something growing at the farm as much of the time possible
The second point will be easier when you level up and get access to longer crops. You said you had two to three harvests a day. The event crops take about 6,5 hours to mature with water. If you some days only harvested twice, that means you only had 13hrs growing time on your farm those 24hrs. That will impact the drops a lot. In the future when you get longer crops, you should try to find a balance between event crops and longer crops (for when you can't harvest the event crops on time) that lets you finish both the event crops and the drops.

But for now, try to be happy with what you have accomplished :)

Keltic, congratulations :D I am very happy for you :)

frmrlife : After playing the game ever since it started I am finding it easy to complete the events only now. As you go higher and higher level, it will be easy for you. So try to finish the level one by one. What I mean is that you need not finish all three stages to move to the next level in the quest. Just decide what you want - whether the mystery trees ? stables ? EP Giver ? or just stars? Then proceed to complete them one by one. You are not going to lose anything by not completing the event. Relax and do it without strain.

There was a time once when an EP giver item which gave you 35 or 50 EPs was considered to be a great achievement. Now they give you 1000 EPs. Even tools like scissors were considered very very rare once. So just let it go and do the event leisurely.
    ------------------------------------------

I still need 150 crops and some hundred drops. Waiting for my carnation. May be I will finish it tomorrow morning. :)

    Congrats Keltic.

Thanks all for the advice - I am going to save the 90 PF I have for the upcoming breeding event.
I think I am going to go for the stars levels so that way I can open Lot 3 on the glade.
Yes unfortunately was down time on my farm RL conflicts throughout so I did the best I could.

Also no trophies yet - I have been attempting these events, so I have very low levels of crops 600 or less on almost all my crops and I have under 100 of each animal I can purchase. I may sit out the next couple of events no matter how tempting the prizes and focus on building my crops/animals so I can donate to the trophies.:inlove:

The good thing is that not much is needed for the first few trophy levels. For the animal trophy use cuckoos (buy them, don't raise them yourself: cuckoo feed is much more expensive than cuckoos). For the crop trophy it might be better to use fruits instead of crops.

    Good luck :)

I finished last night. Just forgot to post it :p
I knew I would be missing farming time today and tomorrow so my strategy worked out perfectly :)

Congrats to those who have finished and Good luck to those still going.

I am 296 drops short of completing the quest. Regarding the advice to not waste powerfeed, I am going to disagree. Since the prizes for the last three steps all award powerfeed, if I'm very close for the last step, I plan to use powerfeed to produce the last 50. The last three steps award a total of 72 powerfeed. In fact, if I had noticed this sooner I would not have milled my last 22 until I had more drops! Something to consider if you are close to finishing. and will appreciate those wonder stable prizes, not to mention the cloud row. A big thank you to my neighbors for sending me so many drops each day - I might just finish this!

Yes \i had long term crop at start. Yes I have gold farmer at 15% (top level ?). Yes I move trophys. Grow Seaweed everywhere on 1x1.
Overnight - coffee but need seaweed otherwise I'll be short. Harvest seaweed 3 times a day with CAC. Running 20 plumes all day + various BH crops then coffee at night.

I've played this game for a long time and usually complete but recently the drop rates have definitely been down. I don't spend any money on the game. I wonder if that is being taken into account on the drop rates now.

I don't think I could have done any more -it's just one of those things. I do hate having beanstalk rows that want specific items that I had no chance of getting.

Congrats to all those who have finished! This event has certainly been a tough one. I'm trying to complete it on both my farms...steph2014 should be okay, still need 6,000 crops but that's not a big deal. On MissSmartyPants I still need 310 drops. :cry:I lost a full day due to traveling for my grandmother's 90th birthday celebration. Happy for grandma, but did she have to turn 90 when I still need so much sea salt?! xD:p;)

Good luck to everyone still working on this one!:)

Well after waiting patiently for my crops to be ready (planted Artichokes last night and only have the water refinement on them) i got a lovely surprise and found my CR ready that gives me a 15% drop in tools for 30 min. Baha was also ready to harvest so between all 4 fields i got enough Salt to complete the event :) I will say this was a pretty tough event, one of the toughest for me personally so far. Im very happy with the rewards (have yet to plant them all yet) and another CR that gives Baha EP is always appreciated. Hopefully my wife's farm will complete her Salt drops tomorrow as well :)
