Coconuts - disappointment

I know there is nothing I can do about it, but I just want to write this down. I have made sure to log in every day to open all of the coconuts. Unfortunately my Mum was unwell and when she came home from hospital yesterday I had to stay with her for the night. No access to a computer at her place and by the time I could get home today, I had missed one coconut. I'm so disappointed that there is no way to go back to it.

 

fernbounce - I feel so sorry for you and everyone who has missed a coconut. I am getting paranoid about checking and double checking that I have opened it, but when you don't have access to a computer it must be doubly annoying. I hope your Mum is doing OK now.

 

Sorry about that.
It would have been in good spirit if the final reward could be opened if one is in a certain threshold. e.g. having collected +95% of the coconuts. This time missing one is catastrophic...

 

Thanks guys - she is OK. Had to have a biopsy so now is thinking the worst and will be until we get the results.

Well, how addicted can you get to these coconuts !!! Friday night at 10:00pm ... according to the police anyway, some thoughtful person decided to steal a whole load of copper wire from a carefully situated pit containing all the underground telephone wires servicing about 4 villages in this region. Unfortunately, due to our isolated location, we do not get mobile phone reception either ... unless of course we link it in to our broadband .. which of course, relies on the landline telephone ... British Telecom, in their infinite wisdom, decided that we were not worthy of a repair until 5:00pm today (Monday) (and I am still mentally penning my letter of outrage to their CEO) Anyway, in the meantime (Saturday, Sunday and today) I have made a twenty mile round trip each day in order to lurk inconspicuously outside a friends house with my laptop whilst tapping into their broadband in order to 'harvest' my daily coconut. I have also, in the meantime, been tormented endlessly by that obnoxious and self opinionated bag of feathers (parrot) who has recently perfected the sound of a ringing telephone ...

I am pleased to say, that so far ..... I have harvested all of my coconuts !!!! and am on track for the big prize !! However, my nerves are in shreds (and so are my husbands) The parrot is on a fast track to being 'stuffed' if he does not moderate his behaviour and the car is now ready for a service and 'fill up'

IF that Coconut 'YOU NEVER OPENED IT TODAY' Gremlin strikes .... I will be gutted !!!!

kmellish - that is a great example of FOCD! I couldn't help but laugh too. I am sorry you had to wait so long for repair but glad you were able to get your coconuts.

Why can't open some coconuts with BB like we did with the Christmas calendar? It is indeed so dissapointing

 

What an interesting anecdote. I cannot help myself from laughing.
How did you manage to do it? That too for 3 days. One day it would make a great story for your children & grandchildren.

 

kmellish - I too had a big chuckle. As I was reading about your misfortune with your broadband connection.....I was thinking..why don't you drive into town and link off someone!!! LOL As a fellow FOCD sufferer, I see that's exactly what you did!!! LOL

What I'm afraid of...is the main(last box) is going to be a disappointment....after many of us(like kmellish) we have gone to abnormal lengths to open each/every coconut!!! What if it is a chicken egg farm??? Or an XXL catalpa tree???
I'm relieved this "summer of fun" will be over this Friday(we will be going out of town for July 4th)....and I'd like to leave the laptop at home!

Oh Brooke, you gave me palpitations! The only thing that went through my head was "but what about your farm?" Looks like my FOCD needs an ice cream dousing!

 

kmellish, take a screenshot of your opened coconuts after every harvest! Just in case!

 

Kmellish, that was too funny!! Here, if things go south, I go to my local coffee shop that I have the password for, and sit in the parking lot! That is, if I cannot find that "sweet spot" for some random neighbor's unsecured connection! LOLOLOL

 

TC - Oh No ....please don't have palpitations!!! Ice cream cures FOCD?? I must be immune to that cure! LOL With my luck, the next to the last box will probably be a 2 day reward....since I've mentioned that I won't be taking the laptop.....I probably jinxed myself!

Mir - LOL....thanks for the reminder(duh...I'm such a goof sometimes). I had totally forgotten about the CR. It's a yippity-skippity one!

 

It keeps getting funnier and funnier what we do to play Farmerama. There are a lot of players who suffer from FOCD

 

I remember a time standing in the middle of a field with my tablet at a very strange angle because there was one place where you could pick up wi-fi and I needed to harvest my fields! I looked like such a plonker!
