I do not really have an Issue with Drops or Lure Feathers or Gummy Worms. To Get a good Amount of Lure Feathers you need to use Stable Pens that Takes 16 Hours to 24 Hours to Grow. Plus Use Cloud Row and Valentine Pots and Cheese Balls Buffs and Water All Stables to Speed up the Harvest of Lure Feathers.

Growing Long times Crops and using Water and Manure as Manure is so Cheap during this Event.

But I am unhappy about Trying to Catch a Golden Trout, As it seem many of you also unhappy try to get Golden Trout too. As there is too many of us seem to be getting a Minnow instead this is not right at all I Even Posted this in General Enquiry as we need Tech Support to look into this as our German Forum Counter Parts Also having the Same Issues that a Perfect Catch is giving us a Minnow not Golden Trout Plus i did get a Golden Trout once but did not get a little green Circle when this Happened it was Thinker Yellow Circle one on top of the other. The Concept of Getting a Good Catch is all Hyped up or there is a Glitch or Bug Preventing us getting a Golden Trout.

As it is defaulted to get a Cloud Row on First Golden Trout. But at the Moment I cannot get an Fishing Fun, Pond Monster or Best Friends. Some of us are getting Repeats of Pond Monster or Best Friends or even Fishing Fun. It should be Flagged that we can only get these items one. So it give us a chance to get other needy items, Or gone Fishin Sticker what if we got Gone Fishin Sticker More than once!!!

The event mechanics in FAQ says it the Skill that Grant you a Fantasic Catch. This is not happening at all. It is completely misleading in FAQ Actually it is just like Farmerama Wheel. The Prizes is Totally Random no matter where some the Yellow Circle Ring using your Lure or Premium Lore. When you use a Premium Lore Nice Job for Minnow should had been exempt so you can either get a Great Job or Fantastic Catch.

I am Totally Disappointed with Event Mechanics to get a Golden Trout. There is no Fun with this event as without Doubt There is a Glitch or Bug to Get a Golden Trout as it is impossible for Tech Support to run script tests while this event is running.

I was really looking forward to this event and Nice lovely prizes to win it too harsh using our Skills is Rewarding us way too many Minnows !!!

 

For me, this event has been WONDERFUL!! I have one field on the farm and then baha for crops and trees; on the other two fields I have all my pens that give the most EP plus trees on the side, and have been getting plenty of materials to get at least 7 normal lures per day and one or two premium lures...of course with the help of all my wonderful neighbors sending me feathers as well. I have gotten the cloud row and many other AWESOME prizes for sure...and hope to get many more before it is over. Not sure what all the fuss is about and the disappointment of many of us farmers, but I wish everyone was having as much fun with this as I am

 

I could not have summed it up better myself...I've hit Bull's Eye a few times, but no Golden Trout issued on all the Bull's Eye's..I would not bother with Premium Lore..the results are the same...other than that...love the Prizes of Stables and Trees...overall a nice "Event" while still doing actual Farming...I would like to see more of these Events "in the background" while we still proceed with our Farms as it is, with no ripping up our Farms...

 

Like the others have said, there doesn't seem to be any skill to this. I've gotten the green ring plenty of times and only got the minnow. A few other times I've been off and have gotten trout and Golden trout.

I do differ from the others in drops. I can't get enough gummy worms compared to the lure feathers. I currently have over 50 lure feathers collecting dust. Ever since the beginning I've been on hold waiting for more gummy worms. I kept tearing more and more stables down in hope to find some kind of balance. My daughter's farm is even worse with her having over 80 Lure feathers not being used.

Also there should have been a better way to give the ep givers vs CR. I got the CR early into the game but only have 1 ep giver. Looks like I may have another 'dead' CR.

I hope work is being done on the Cloud Rows so we can hide the unused ones

 

I take this quest as an opportunity to grow my stock of crops and animals before going back to breeding and workshops. The fishing bit is fun and what I get, I get. I would perhaps add a selection of fish recipes for afterwards ...

 

This event had great potential but I'm finding it very frustrating now. Why did I think I would enjoy this? I get to grow the plants and animals I need for myself instead of something new. Huge smile on my face. However, this fishing reward thing has me giving up. Giving me the same cloud row item prize 7 times when I haven't gotten all the rest yet..... The prizes are great and I had planned to keep earning them even after the cloud row was filled. Now we're nearing the end of the event and it's starting to get to me how the prizes are working out.

 

Well my results are even worse, farming round the clock to keep animal pens and crops producing about even drops (with manure and flower pots etc) to create maximum lures. I have the cloud row and 1 item to put on it... not even a duplicate. I did get a prize of a couple of GB but the rest has been pretty rubbish.. Mainland ep , Mystery stables/trees which produced nothing useful, a few 6,000 cc. And what really niggles me is most of my hits are spot on but these give me minnows!!!
Again great idea BUT!!!!

 

Totally love how an event is running and I am able to still grow the crops that I personally need, and are getting event drops for them.
A very nice change from that usual boring "grow event crops and collect drops" format. Thumbs up for this idea.

The fishing aspect of this event is fun. The rewards are great. Whether it is actually working properly or not, I do not really care. The surprise of what fish I shall get, or what reward I shall get, is the best part, and is what is making this event for me fun.

Lure drops are low, but my main gripe is the cloud row thing of course. Since this is pretty well an event of "luck" I do not think the cloud row should have been event themed. This getting a cloud row that I shall probably not be able to fill, has put a big damper on the event for me. I have picked up 15 rewards so far, including the row and one of the row items. I do not have much hope in picking up the other two. So for this aspect of this event, I reward BP with a big thumbs down. Putting the cart before the horse is never a good thing!

 

No question. I did miss mir's response (my goof) but I don't consider saying to double check the FAQs to be sure before posting publicly that the event is disgusting and not worth playing is out of line at all, or even really chastising.
That said, while I am fully fluent in English and believe josstreater is as well, things can sound differently online than intended. MUCH of communication is nuance and voice. That even aside from translation issues.

I will say that most people here can pretty well detect and are pretty understanding of "not great at English" errors.

I have a final thought I'd like to add.

I don't think this event is working as it was intended and granted it's really, really frustrating. I added my share of moaning on the bad drops, getting minnows on a perfect line up etc.

BUT... many of us were also really angry about the outcome of the Luxury Train and I think the Farmerama team went above and
beyond the call of duty to make it up to us with the 30 days of summer as well as this event which has amazing rewards just for doing
what we normally do. No loss of rare pens, workshops etc.

I'm sure this event wasn't put out just to torture us for kicks, it's not working and it's not the end of the world so I for one am just going to suck it up, get minnows for a perfect hit and just deal with it. The 5 Mystery Cargo, BEP and Cloud Row that I just opened knocked some sense into me so lets all stop the moaning and just say THANKS FARMERAMA TEAM... I appreciate the thought.

 

The results on this should not be "random" when it relies on aligning the rings and there is a "special" lure. If the rings are aligned you should get the better fish. This is just how it should be.

Furthermore, the drop rates are abysmal. Ridiculously so.

Also, on my first two hooks of the Fantastic top fish I got the cloud row and one EP giver. Since then I have landed 20 or more of said fish and not received even one of the other EP givers. Methinks something smells fishy with the fishing game.

Shame too because I had high hopes for this new concept.

 

I liked the look and the idea behind this event. I am not even particularly bothered by the low drop rate as it does make it challenging. I also like that there are no specific crops, animals or trees which frees up my time to focus on other farming goals while still participating in the event. The listed prizes are certainly good for the most part.

What I dislike is the game mechanism itself. Since it is obvious that no matter where the rings stop at the fish awarded is completely random, there is simply no other explanation for the results that I experienced and that others have reported, it should have been stated as such. It would not have been nearly as frustrating to play.

I also dislike that the premium lure took more than twice the requirements of the normal one with no guarantee of better results. Finally since it was so difficult to actually get one of the top two fish I really disliked having low end prizes awarded from them specifically 4 turbo mulch or super grow.

 

Doing normal crops and stables I've had some good results. I don't know if I'll finish cloud row but every prize is a bonus right.

 

I love the idea of this event. It's great to see something different, the game (could be) fun, the rewards are potentially great, and we don't need to donate anything so it is basically free!

There are definitely issues which reduce the fun factor a lot. If BP use this concept again (which I hope they will), then they need to consider:

- the drop rate needs to be a bit higher (not too much) and/or more consistent
- the game mechanism needs to be consistent!!!!!!!
- the reward system needs a bit of tweaking e.g. no minnows from a premium lure, have an un-themed cloud row
- from a game psychology point of view, I like the reward centre in my brain to be lit up I feel like I'm not getting much reward satisfaction from this game because the reward just flashes on the screen and then disappears (and some people seem to have a glitch where they don't even see the reward pop-up). To increase the reward satisfaction it would be good to have some kind of list or record of the rewards so that we can go back and gloat over our prizes

Overall, great idea and considering that it is the first time they have tried it, it is going okay. I hope they listen to our feedback and bring back a new improved version.

 

This event struck me as having been well prepared, which is a statement in itself because of the complexity involved. The fishing graphics are stunning !! - maybe the best this game has produced. I suffered one freeze only (At the point of me clicking on the rings) and my lure was not lost, so never mind, enough said. Some of the prizes were duds, but some were huge, and that is for the developers to reassess.
I especially like the use of either mill to produce the items needed, as has been a feature in a few recent events.

There will always be aspects of 'game-of-chance' that draw criticism, but if fun was your main aim then a big fat Golden Fish to You !!!

Well said David, and I guess I shouldn't have expected anything more than what has happened with my flower cloud row.... it is useless to me because I keep getting the same flowers. I will not be shocked if this happens with this Cloud Row.... such is chance and whatnot and I've never been good at gambling. I never win! You reap what you sow, so I will try until the end of the event and I am grateful for the prizes that I have won. I have stabilized my drops so they are about all the same level daily, when I first started i had too many crops... silly me wanting so many gummy worms and forgetting about enough stables! I do however make sure I am planting crops that take the longest grow time and use water and manure. I seem to get just as good results with the normal lures as I do with the Premium Lures so I'm not wasting the bulk of my drops on Premium. I mill 1 Premium always, then 10 Normal, so I always have at least one of the Premiums. If guppy's existed in this game, I would end up with one using my Premium Lure, that is the way of my luck! On that note..... Happy Fishing Everyone~

 

Concept is great but the execution is bad- drop rate is really bad on stables so to get a "premium" lure it takes a while.

I was able to catch enough fish with the premium (not any gold but lower level fish) to get 2 prizes. I have over 3 million in cash and you can guess what I got for both prizes- yep money that I do not need.

The timing of the event is far too short, making premium lures takes a lot of units that are not dropped often, and they should only catch the upper level fish and the prizes need work as many do not need cash.

Another event that looks good but turns out that you have to spend money to get anywhere with it. Another event I'll not really participate in because of the difficulty and the poor random low level fish/prizes.

 

Yes, A list would have been lovely. I am one of those who did not get to know what my earlier prizes were. All in all, apart from the lowish drop rate, I enjoyed this but have three other farms without the cloud row fillers. The up side is that the ornaments do give good BEP on Shipwreck Bay.
