I managed to find time and went to see Jurassic World, and it was 3D, a very remarkable experience, and as usual the effects and the graphics are the real hero of the movie, the plot and events were almost the same with the same message behind the work, but there was a twist, the creation of 2 new kind of dinosaurs that they did not exists, they popped up from the imagination of the makers and the use of science that might enable the reworking of the DNA codes to enhance it and to create a hybrid by using other animals DNA, and the results were a super freaky huge aggressive, and super intelligent dinosaurs that you cant help but to open your mouth at the awesome creatures with their roles and actions with a remarkable camera movements and in 3D that you can't help but believe you are inside the movie, even the plot and the events were typical and expected, with the message that you can't miss up with nature, and the idea that these creation might be used as a new type of weapon in the warfare hence they can be trained and manipulated, and the last scene have an awesome battle between the creatures were a typical T-rex was reserved to the end to come and help defuse the situation, still I liked the movie, Stevin Spielberg at his best and you can't expect less than that, my new smartphone was with me but I could not take photos because I was much occupied that I forget to use it, even in the movie every one has his phone and they are all taking photos, I should have take at least a snap or 2 but could not help it.

Anybody watch Once Upon a Time? (with the girl doctor from HOUSE) - love the way they revamp the old fairytales

I watch Once Upon a time too:inlove: Well I have watched all the episodes so far so I am waiting for the new ones. I really liked how they changed the fairytales. Red hood's story was unexpected(on first season)...

My Mom keeps up with ot weekly. I simply don't have the time with kid's school, my school, husband being in and out for work, kid's extra activities, maintaining my property, dogs.....you know, it really IS work being a stay-at-home Mom. So I just binge watch a season on Netflix when I can. All of the stories have been told so thoughtfully! Don't you all find Rumplestiltskin to be the unlucky and loveable villain!?

I have seen everything except this last season that was on TV. I am waiting for it to come on Netflix. Then I will wait for the kids to be away for a day (it isn't hard to do in the summer as they seem to scatter in the wind in the summer all day long! :music:) and the hubs to be gone ( he really always is). I'll settle into my bed and watch the entire season in one go!

Bygo_Cris - do you remember an old anime, I think the name was "Cowboy Bebop"? I remember watching that one about 15 years ago or so - was so very good. I kind of tend to measure other anime that I see against that one as far as storyline/plot goes.

Last weekend I finally got to see "John Wick" with my favorite actor who doesn't really act: Keanu Reeves. Okay, he's easy on the eyes even with the scruffy beard, maybe even especially because of the scruffy beard. I liked the movie in spite of all the violence. One thing I noticed - that he actually stopped to reload his guns. He didn't have the "neverending clips" in his guns. Anyway, was a nice way to unwind at the end of a long market day.

I also watched the James Brown biopic - "Get on Up". Wow. Some excellent acting in that one. I have always loved the music of James Brown. The man? Not so much. I guess one has to separate the artist from his artistic achievements in some cases. The actor who played his life-long friend Bobby Byrd should have gotten an Oscar nod in my opinion. I recognized him as he played Lafeyette in True Blood.

Lots of intelligent observations in that comment Sewinglady. I liked JW too; you have to love a dog lover :)

About Rumpol, Labmommy; yes, he is the villain in the initial stages you are shouting "just shoot him", then you learn the history and see the agony and - although you hate what he does - you can't help sympathising with him.
If you can't wait for netflix, you can always catch up on primewire.ag ;) (takes a little getting used to, to avoid the popups, but it is a great resource.

Probably the nicest way I've heard him described. I was a big fan of Bill and Ted so I will always have a soft spot for him but wow, yeah man he can't really act. He must have had an uber power agent early in his career cause some of the roles he got he should never have even been considered for, Dangerous Liaisons, Much Ado About Nothing and Dracula all spring to mind.

I've watched the trailer for the new "Fantastic Four" movie a bunch of times as it's one of the ads in movie cinema for me right now. All I can think is didn't they just make a big budget movie of the Fantastic Four? I could have sworn that Jessica Biel played Sue Storm and Michael Chikless was The Thing.

Wasn't Jessica Biel - was Jessica Alba that played Sue Storm in the earlier version. And yes, Michael Chikless as the Thing.

I never liked the Fantastic Four because Sue Storm had to be more damsel in distress than 'strong woman with super powers' - and I always thought she should be tough as nails and not fainting all the time from having gone invisible. And this was back when it was a comic book in the 60's/70's. Guess I was a feminist before they invented the word.

Okay, now I just remembered, I wanted to go to IMDB today and look up the actors in KillJoys on SyFy. Not a bad show. New episode airs tonight.

I've seen that anime sooo long time ago. Even I didn't watch all do to my schedule, I liked it.
I've seen 'John Wick' too. I was surprised to see him in that role especially after his lost... I can imagine how hard was for him.
I've seen trailer with that movie 'Get on Up'. I want to watch that movie too. It looks great. I also seen True Blood until season 2. I like that one too. I think I will watch True Blood again starting with season 2.

I liked the movie "Wild", I preferred the book. Sometimes things are lost in screen writing and the book was phenomenal. It is a book of memoirs written by Cheryl Strayed, who walks the Pacific Coast Trail. One of her quotes "I'm going to walk myself back to the woman I used to be...." Absolutely.... the best book I think I've ever read. This, as well as the movie, offers a little something for everyone.

Recently watched the Movie "Cake", awesome as well with Jennifer Anniston.

American Sniper based on the real life experiences of Chris Kyle. Phenomenal Movie!!!! Heartbreaking

She Wrote Love On Her Arm....... If you are into recovery from anything... this is an amazing movie and very close to actually getting how insidious addiction can be.

Oh the author of "The Shack" has just hinted that there may be movie coming out based on his book. I am going to keep a close eye on this... I wouldn't miss this if it ever becomes a movie!

So many wonderful Movies we've seen lately, really going to have to add some more when I get my thoughts together. :music:

One in particular comes to mind.... "Into the Woods" with Myrell Streep, probably spelled her name wrong, Thought this was particularly fascinating using all sorts of Storybook Characters from my childhood. It was fantastic!!!

We watched Hitchcock's Vertigo last night. Can't believe I did not catch it before. It was very good but I think youngsters of today might find there was not enough 'action' in it. Kept both of us awake though, even though Hubby was very tired after a hard day volunteering at a local Fete. Need to fast forward to find the bit with Hitchcock's little cameo appearance as I forgot to look.
