hmmm, dont know if its really worth opening up to make cc's. more than monkeys but longer to raise. feed roughly the same price to mill. parrots are better for cc's. i opened up panda but have never bought a pen because of the long time to raise them, lose money. i think ill pass for now and stick with monkey and parrot. ill use gb to go for trees.

Did you open up pandas for breeding? If you do, there is another statue right after that gives 333 pandas, ready made!

Can somebody (probably Mir, as he knows everything 8)) give me a link to info on the cloud rows? In the mini BB I managed to breed the flaming steer, so I have the stalk open, but I haven't the foggiest what to do with it. When I clicked on the first cloud it opened my inventory and the only dec item of the 4 useless ones I keep in there (the wise old owl) showed [not the pond, herb garden, the buddah statue or the cow or the Swis flag]. When I click on any cloud, it does the same thing - opens the inventory. How do I know which I should take from the decoration park and which I should leave? :( All that work to climb the stalk and not I am lost in a white haze

    Hi Chris,
Items that go on clouds have to be the same size as the cloud. When you click on a cloud and your inventory opens, you can select any of the items to go on that cloud. Event cloud rows that are themed will show a grayed out picture of the item that must be placed on that cloud. If the cloud is white you can put anything you want there. The seasonal gifts are not able to be placed in the clouds and the most difficult to find are the 1x2s. One of the best (and easiest) ways to get them is to make some mummies during MM. I don't have the link but hope this helps:)

It is individual preference of what to leave in the park but most players put the lowest EP givers in the clouds as they lose their individual properties and take on the cloud row benefit.

    Chris,

The themed cloud rows require specific deco items, you will see a greyed out picture on the cloud. Hover over it and it will tell you the name you can then look for it in your park. They must be in your inventory in order to be placed on the cloud.

Unthemed cloud rows will just be blank clouds and you will have to sort out what you want to use on them. The size of the cloud will show you if you need a 2x2, 1x2 or 1x1 to place there. You can click on the circle for a description of the row itself you then you need to decide if the reward is worth using your deco items for.

I personally do not have all my available unthemed rows filled because I do not have enough 1x2's. The ones I have in my park simply give to much EP for me to remove them to fill a row that will give me less. If you look back a few entries Sweet_Cassiopeia gives great advice on what to use to fill up those rows.

    Hope this helps you!

Edit: PNP you must be a fast typist. ;)

Thanks, Puppies, LDC and sweet Steph. I didn't realise you lose the XP the items give you :( So, for row 1 I have to put in 10 items, and when it is full I get 50x my level in points every 36 hours?? (as it says on the page Stephy gave) or is it 3750 points one time, as the icon at the side says when I click it?
Looks like a lot of maths involved, to see if it pays more to use the rows or keep things in the park:eek: - like hibearnations: 200 xp every 10 hours. !0 of them for a cloud row, that is 2000 xp in 10 hours, over 30(forgetting the extra 6) that is 6000. Much more than the 3750 I would get if I clouded them. But I guess that is balanced by the fact they don't wear out, so you have to reckon on that amount over however many uses they get in the park to infinity on the CR  my brain hurts!

Oh and can you remove them? When I clicked on that owl after placing it, a picture of a hammer appeared with "demolish" written next to it

It's true that you lose the EP that the items would give you if they were in the park, but you can often get better EP from them in the cloud row (depending on which items you place there). For example, let's look at Row 1. You have to put 10 items (all 1x1s) there. If you picked 1x1s that give you tons of EP when on land, then it might not be worth it...but there are lots of 1x1s that you can place that are vastly more valuable in the cloud. Water towers (they're cheap to buy) and Wilsons (people can send them as free gifts) both work on 1x1 clouds. So my advice would be to use those. Use your owl, too, because it's just a decoration so you might as well make it earn its keep!xD

You will get 50 EP x your level every 36 hours for Row 1. The way the description is worded (ie "you'll receive a one-time bonus") is confusing and misleading. You will get the EP every 36 hours, don't worry.:) You just have to remember to go up the beanstalk to harvest it each time...it doesn't harvest automatically.

You can remove items, yes. Let's say you put some valuable 1x1 on a cloud, and then you bought a water tower or got a wilson as a gift and decided that it makes way more sense to put your fancy 1x1 back in your park and put a wilson in the cloud instead (hint hint:p). If you click on an item after placing it, you'll see the hammer/demolish thing. Just click the hammer, and the item will go back into your inventory. Then click on the cloud again, and choose a different item from your inventory. Keep in mind, though, that items can only be removed if the row is ready to harvest. If the row is in its cool down period (meaning you already harvested it and now have to wait another 36 hours), you'll see a little gray padlock attached to each cloud. You won't be able to remove items during that period. Hope that makes sense. :)

You're welcome. :) Also, if you need suggestions on which items to use, check out the last entry on page 29 of this Newbie Observation thread...LDC asked which items are best to use in the clouds. A bunch of us gave some good answers on the next page (page 30).

    from faq,

    * Which bonuses can I hope to get by filling the rows?
Each "row" of clouds will give a different bonus, for example:
    • row 1 : bonus is 50 EP x your level, every 36 hours
    • row 2 : bonus is 1000 CC every 36 hours
    • row 3 : bonus is 1000 EP every 36 hours

a side note, has anyone here actually filled the 2nd cloud row for 1k cc every 36 hrs? or is the faq wrong about that too?

I think I did something wrong. I waited the correct amount of time, then clicked the icon at the end of CR 1, and the row locked again, but no EP went up to my score :sleepy:

when you clicked the icon did you get pop up asking you to accept the bonus? if yes then re log and see if you got the ep. if not ask mod to look into it.

How much time does your CR say you have to wait to harvest? Is it saying it will be ready in another 36 hours? It could be that it wasn't actually ready to harvest when you clicked on it. Sometimes it takes a few seconds for the clouds to properly load after you've gone up the beanstalk. Sometimes my rows will show that they're all ready to harvest, and then a few seconds later they reload and show the actual status.
Also, when you harvest the clouds the EP doesn't "float" up to your total in the upper right corner (like it does when you harvest fields). Instead, it's just instantly added to your total, kind of like when you win EP on the wheel. Maybe that's why you don't think the EP was added...because you didn't see the little graduation cap EP thing?
