Lately Some of Us having Experienced Harvester Issues.... That it giving us slow response when when need to Harvest out Farms, to plant seeding water crops or using builder to change farm layout.

Some of you would have a Stop Plugin Flash Message as I had a Few Times already, either Refresh the Browser or Press F5 or Even have to Log out and Log Back in.

Please Post here which Browsers you are using, Have you updated your Adobe Flash as some of you may not be aware of that many Browsers such as Chrome, IE Firefox and Opera have stopped supporting Flash due to a security concern :wuerg:

I have Mozilla Firefox as my primary browser, Chrome as my secondary browser, and Adobe as my Flash Player in my PC. I have updated all of them with the latest one (both browsers and Flash Player). Generally, I prefer to use Mozilla Firefox for browsing.

I have no issues with playing other online games (BigPoint or anothers) as well as Farmerama until Bugfixes, Updates & Improvements on last Thursday. I realized from that moment started this problem.
The problem occurs when I'm harvesting on all fields (park, shipwreck bay, baha island, glade, mainland, meadow), but never appeared when harvesting CR, planting, feeding the animals, watering, using manure, SG-ing, SSG-ing, or other actions that do not relate collecting (B)EP (such as collecting water from water tanks).

I do not know about some browsers have stopped supporting Flash due to a security concern. But I hope this problem can be overcome for the sake of convenience.

PS. Now I'm playing on Puffin on smart phone. This problem never appreared at all. o_O

I use Chrome for Illy and Firefox for this farm. I swapped them round only recently cos Firefox seemed to slow right down and as Illy has more stuff to harvest, I wanted the faster browser for that farm, now Chrome has slowed down so I may have to swap back. :(

I am still finding my way round this new lappy - my old one cleared cache, etc, automatically and all I had to do was farm. I think I "allowed" the flash on Firefox but maybe I need to do the same for Chrome - when I work out what button to push. o_O

I sometimes seed and feed manually and this can be really, really slow and more than a little frustrating!>:(

    I hear ya.
I thought I had update issues re did all the maintenance things and even went as far as re-installing firefox-.- I feel like the house wife and the washer fixer plugs it in and says 75 bucks all fixed. I really should have tried another game site 1st, yep harvester is like stalling then continues, and on all devices, lap/desk, phone thought it was Flash, but nope tried heavy graphics and they are ok elsewhere.

And thanks for the words SillyGuy, means a lot to me, I don't have to haunt you farmers anymore.... I really think you all < as the list of really great people is huge> should be sending my farm a bill!
I still have much to learn but that was a huge step.8)

Have Chrome, Firefox and Explorer. Stalling occurs everywhere, despite the clearing cache, updating, etc. routine. I have had to refresh on occasion just to change farm fields! Like Silly Guy, I noticed it after Thursday, and wonder about that.

I've tried Chrome, IE, and Fireox. Just downloaded Opera today to try it. I have tried everything I can think of. Even reinstalled the browsers. If I get desperate I will try my smartphone but I need glasses to see my laptop I hate to see the mistakes I will make on the phone :p
There were 2 updates to Adobe within the last week and ever since the last one I have been having problems. I can harvest my parks just fine but when I try to harvest crops or animals I get the Stop Plugin message or Bigpoint is not responding. Then I can seed, feed, water, etc. just fine. It seems to be just the harvest button.
I just keep refreshing or log out and back in. Hopefully they will get this fixed soon.

i am using an ipad with Puffin as the browser and I haven't experienced any problems, now or to date, with the harvester or anything else. when I got the ipad I found some useful advice about how to run Farmerama and which browser to choose in the forum but I cant remember who that kind soul was.. I do have a laptop but even without the harvester reaping and sowing crops is so. quick on the ipad that I haven't played games on the laptop for ages!

I took SillyGuy advise and loaded Puffin on phone.
Ques - is the $3.99 for the app one time fee or monthly fee.
I downloaded free version to test out first.
I am not sure if I can farm like this though too small of screen on phone and not enough patience with me.xD

I am having stalling everywhere also.
Thought it was just me :p

The pause reminds me of - when we harvest Love Shacks how it pauses after so many to display what we got from breeding.
I thought maybe they were implementing the same mechanism to display what drops were received.
If this was intentional then :wuerg: I can get about 10 2x2's clicked on before the pause to see what drops happen.
Hoping this is just a bug:music:

I use IE, Chrome, and Firefox and all are up to date and so is Adobe Flash. I have the same lag/delay but it appears to be limited to harvesting crops/trees/pens as the parks are ok. I have also done everything suggested previously by mods-- cleared browser history, cache, updated everything, log out/back in and reboot. Nothing has helped at all. It all began for me when Adobe needed to be updated and we received the Tech Announcement indicating that the game would not support certain browsers. I have the exact same issues JJenks reported in tech with her screenshots. Once I saw the mods telling players it was a BP issue, I didn't create a post as hopefully it will be fixed soon. It is aggravating and I think I have lost the EP buff from crows before I can get around to the rest of the farm because of the delays. Each field is taking more than a minute to harvest and replant/water. Thank goodness I don't have to lug those trophies around anymore as that would only add more time. :(

I use chrome/firefox. Can't use IE as it's so slow. The only issue I get is when using the harvester on crops, everything else is fine. On my tablet I have puffin browser and there are no such issues at all. Everything's up to date and I get the shockwave flash plugin stopped working; if I wait it out it usually fixes itself and only takes about 30/40s.

I've been using Opera to access the game because it doesn't give me issues with the pop-up windows when I go to buy things (IE does for some reason). And the lag is really bad this morning. Yesterday it was around 10 seconds or so - bearable. But this morning I was able to go to the kitchen get my cuppa and come back to the computer before it finally collected the field I was at. Since the game has always been pretty 'zippy', it is odd. Anyone else notice that this lag with the harvester started when they announced a bunch of other bug fixes? So they fixed some and made a great big new one! Whee!

Editing to add: Just harvested a crop of wheat (planted it while I figured out what else I needed for the event) - it harvested much faster than my overnight crops - less EP and far fewer drops...so wondering if the issue lies there and not so much with Flash Player (which I updated last Saturday, just in case).

I have been using Chrome for a long time for my Farmerama browser. Like TCRooster, it's only more recently that I noticed game lag when using the harvester to harvest my crops. I have had animal pens out for quite a while, and so I think the 1x1s must take up more memory to harvest. (Scratch that - my parrots are taking a long time to harvest now too).
    :p

I too have occasionally received the plug-in warning (below) that JJenks posted in her tech thread:

I have also received the kill page two or three times (see above thread link for second picture), but if I click "Wait" it goes away and then I can continue farming. I think it's key to stop clicking when I notice the harvester is lagging, as that way the computer/browser has less "thinking" to do.

I have Chrome version 43, and remember having a yellow bar (or something similar) to the above picture with a link talking about browser plugins related to security. I didn't take a screenshot, but I did bookmark the site it sent me to. This morning, I decided to take pictures of the site and post them in a Spoiler (my first spoiler lol!) for those who are more tech savvy and who might be able to translate this into plain English lol! I removed the web address, per forum rules, but if you want it, just send me an igm.

To me, it seems to say that Adobe Flash will still work, but the reference to Pepper Flash confuses me. Also, I am hesitant to do anything to my computer that I don't understand.

I think it's interesting that we are having problems on all kinds of different browsers (with the exception of Puffin, which I understand uses Adobe flash, cloud storage, and is designed to have super-fast flash results versus other browsers). Looking at the Puffin website, I think it's just designed for tablets and smartphones. Although if anyone has successfully installed it on a desktop/laptop, I would appreciate knowing about it.
    :)

To me, considering that we are having problems over so many different browsers, it suggests that it is either a Farmerama problem or an Adobe Flash problem. I have a hard time believing that BP would deliberately do something to make game problems (all businesses like happy customers), so my theory is that if it is on BP's end that it's a frustrating coding glitch-loop thingy hidden somewhere.
:eek:o_O ~edit~ (Oh wait - Neon said in JJenks' tech thread (link above) that it is "a problem on BP server's end"). {{crosses fingers that BP can find and fix the problem quickly}} I think I need more coffee...
    :p

@keltic ~ we have all been in your shoes before lol! I think a lot of farmers here simply take the approach that just asks those we help to eventually "pass it on." We are quite happy to help as we ourselves have been helped in the past.

I've been having the same frustrating problems in every browser I tried. I've found what seems to be at least a temporary solution using Chrome. (Fingers crossed it continues to work, because so far today I've had no harvester induced flash issues at all.) If you want to try it, in Chrome type: chrome://plugins then look in your list of plugins for Adobe Flash Player and check the box next to "always allowed to run" after that just sign in to your farm as usual, and (hopefully:music:) problem solved. Good luck!

Hi Fellow Farmers Firstly Thanks for your Feedback and Input about Which Browsers you are using to play Farmerama. Every Browser that is out There use a Plugin Service Called NPAPI many Browsers are pulling Away Support of Various Plugins of NPAPI they intend to fade them out Altogether.

Here is List of Plugins that Browsers have been supporting in the Past...Microsoft Silverlight,Java Applets, Microsoft Active X, Adobe Flash or Abobe Shockwave Based Plugins of these will not longer be supported. But there is now a New Kind of Alternative Plugin Called HTML5 that Browsers such as IE.CHROME,FIREFOX,OPERA etc Will be supporting.

Support for Flash is sadly one of these Plugins That Farmerama Relies on is slowly being unsupported as they plugin providers such as Adobe are try to find ways or updates it Flash Version to ensure it can still be supported. It is not certain what the outcome will be at the moment

Puffin Browser Works a Treat when you are using an Tablet or Smart Phone to use Harvester playing Farmerama. It is more stable and faster than using a Windows Based Browser. Just to Remind you that you can use Puffin Browser on iphone or ipad.

There are some Browsers who Claim to still support Flash but Puffin Browser is the Most Reliable one to use I have been using it for 4 years on my Smart Phone.

Most of the Time I use my laptop to play this Game...Recently Harvester is not working as well as it should. I may have to get myself a Tablet to Continue playing this game using the Harvester have fun playing this game. It is not good to have issues using a Window Based Browser

As from above postings it seem that updates, clearing cache, Login in and out. Reinstalling Browsers or Trying other Browsers etc

Just a Reminder me being an IT GUY many plugins makes your browser works slower plus it fills up your Memory Cache which often has to be cleared which in itself a Pain. These an Know as Applets (Hence Mini Applications or Programming Sub Routines) As i use to do programming many year ago.

At the moment have to bear with it using your PC or Laptop, otherwise get yourself a Tablet to play this game more smoothly as Tablets have bigger screen than a smart phone as using a Smartphone can be very Fiddly and can make touching errors such as using super grow by mistake or even using BB by mistake which can be costly to us as we have experience to paying attention what we are clicking using our Mouse and Keyboard !!!

On my iphone I downloaded Puffin.
It is not letting me go beyond the sign-in screen.
There is a message about some change in rules, but I do not find a scroll bar and am unable to scroll down to be able to read further. If anybody has suggestions or solutions to this issue, I would be glad.

I have an android phone, (but I assume they work in similar ways). To scroll, you should be able to press two fingertips to your touch screen and drag them together up or down to scroll up or down. Moving two fingers together on the screen makes thing smaller, and moving them apart, makes the images/text bigger.

As for the rest, I haven't used my phone to farm in a while, so I can't help. Hoping someone who can will come by soon to help you more!

The screen scrolls, but not the notice. I log in via Big Fish games. I am able to navigate their site with Puffin. Once Farmerama loads the issue starts. I'll try and post a picture when I can.
