I have everything I need ready. Selling off some extra rabbits.
I'm curious to see the drop rate as that is what could really make this Hard and not medium. Remember there are 2 cloud rows that effect drops...

Effect: 2015 EP, 2015 Baha EP, +5% drop rate increase for the main land fields (no Baha), including event drops, for 30 minutes!
Cooldown time: 48 hours

I'm not putting back all my trees until this one is finished, I get better drops from 1x1's. With a 4 hour crop I will make use of some longish crop for overnight...unless they surprise us with good drops.

I am going to be doing this one slow and easy - just going to use the main field, leave all my critters, trees and workshops on the other three. I may be missing something but 11,250 yellow roses, over six days and at 600 per harvest, I reckon I need just over three harvests a day. With a four hour (maximum) growth, this is really do-able with one field. Or am I missing something?

The drops may be a different matter but I will see how I do on the first harvest if I leave all my trees etc till the event starts.

I have had an easy week this week, off Monday through to tomorrow, just working Saturday afternoon. Next week is the reverse - working Monday through to Friday! But I still think I can make at least three harvests a day. If I am getting near the end and not near finishing the required crops, I may have to rethink my strategy!

Don't forget, if you are short of Blackberries, you can buy them from the Shop at 9cc each - only downside, you can only buy 100 a day but every little helps!

That's why I said I'm not wasting any crafting buffs, like White Innocence, on a 4h crops with such low requirements. Not sure if I'm only using 10 or 100 SG. I still have a stockpile of it from events and the wheel, etc.
I guess... it's possible the numbers in the FAQ are incorrect? Probably not...

I suspect what your're... GOING to be missing is drops.
The devs have been changing things up lately so it's more difficult to predict than months ago...
This event calls for a minimum daily average of 158 per day. That's a very high number. You can leave the pens out and see how that works. If you get more than 100 drops from your initial harvest... you'll probably be OK. NO GUARANTEES! The trees are OK. But if I were you I would remove the pens and put small plots out with your longest crop for the first harvest. I know you don't like to wait for the event to start for that but... it works. I would also water the 4h crop so it can be harvested 4 times a day in less than 13h w/ a long crop at night. The overnight crop should be... as already mentioned... preferably... a really long one w/ refinements, water and maybe manure. The flower CR is very handy for this.

I've enjoyed the change ups that the devs have been throwing at us. Gives us a chance to test different configurations for optimization, etc. Aluntino, I agree with your comment about their... fuzzy math. Easy drops + difficult time frame for event crops during last event = average of medium difficulty. High drop demand + low crop demand = average of medium difficulty. But... depending on what they do with the drop rate algorithm... I'm thinking this is going to be an easy event for me and others that are primarily crop farmers, etc.

Someone mentioned that the last event was about time management. The truth is the whole game, most esp events, are about TIME/SPACE management. The most difficult part of that equation is fitting this game into RL. Getting more and more difficult for me.

In between events... I'm a very lazy farmer. Login once or twice a day to reset farm and send gifts. The less I login during an event the happier I am. The events I haven't finished in the past 3.5y are rare and usually because of health related reasons aka unable to login for whole days, etc.

 

I won't have time to complete this event and I will only try to get the first item.
So I will need 1010 yellow roses, 127 friendship potions.
Or do you think I should try to finish this event? I am not still sure what I should do.

 

I am not yet sure what to do. My start will be about 2-3 hours delayed and then we will be out until Monday morning.
Maybe start the seeds and hope to be able able to harvest before leaving and then CF and the hope of 2 harvests a day.

I always say try to do what you can, but don't stress about it. You have been here long enough to judge what is "doable" with your RL time limits.

 

I'm stressin . I have over a million more walnuts to dump. I know it's bad. I'm getting to the point I even want to plant some event junks. I know something is wrong with me now.

I want to go shopping. OK OK OK, I know, Puppiesnponies shopaholics class for me. It's ok, I'll be glad to see pnp.

I'll be glad to see you too broke I had to go shopping for walnuts yesterday when FAQ came out on both farms. You are not on my market so I had to go with another vendor You want to grow event junks? You should consult Dr. Wilson about that....

 

Growing event junks is less effort.

Dr. Wilson might need to prepare. I have the same carrot, wheat, hay, blackberry, apple problem What a shame! I have been buying apples too ... over 1.6 million.

I did a bad thing. I sold rabbit feed for 1,100 and rabbits for over 2,100. I'm so sorry pnp, I have not been following what I learned in your course. Please don't give up on me and send me to Dr. Wilson. I'll do better next time.

Really worried about my harvester got from previous event.Seeded carnation to get maximum drops.Have waiting more hours to harvest them without using harvester.9 more hours.

 

Hi Suzee, the reason I don't like setting up long term stuff and waiting for the start of the event is that, for me, the event starts at 2.00 in the afternoon and I hate waiting. I do most of my farming in the morning and it is really, really hard for me not to touch the farms! Having said that, I have changed my tune a bit, I am making an effort! It's killing me! For the last but one event, I saw the fruits of my first harvest with Carnations!

I won't be able to log in as much for all but one day of the event so it will make little or no difference whether I water or not, though if I have a three (.12) hour window, I will indeed water and manure (with all those critters, lots of the brown stuff!). If I find that drops are not bountiful, I will change to trees or long term crops, whichever fits in with my particular shifts next week.

Fingers crossed for everybody!

You are right woody, I should not stress about it.

I have over 9.000 walnuts and a lot of rabbits so I think I will sell some of them. It's time for me to make a few millions more

I will be losing some millions in this event, Arielh. I have to buy walnuts & rabbits.
I think farmer_broke will become a model_millionaire. May be he has already became one selling rabbits. Now whoever heard of rabbits making persons millionaire !!

My work is over today and I am free for the rest of the afternoon. Will be starting the event in the right time. Happy. My fields are waiting to be harvested.

 

I find myself in a fortunate position having almost 5000 each of walnuts, mirabelle plums and 22,000 Blackberries. I also have thousands of rabbits, apples and sunflowers. I sell as little as possible to keep my stocks high.

Getting the roses should be fairly easy, needing to grow only 11,250 roses in 6 days. Remember we had to grow roughly that amount of crops in 48 hours in the last quest.

When I read what Suzee said about not needing to use super-grow on her initial starter seeds, it made me think. Do I really need super-grow on my starter seeds?? (The answer would be "no" lol!) Since I like to get going and growing on the farm, I will only "nuke" (super-grow, suzy spray, water and manure) my initial 10 seeds in 2x2 plots. Then after harvesting with CAC, I will have 90 seeds to replant in another round of 2x2s. I will then save my super-grow for the times I really want to use it, such at events where I want more drops so I can do things like giving easter eggs to bunnies and milled spooky crops to bats!


For those farmers who have very tight windows to farm, I will still include my super-grow chart, as well as a new chart on comfort fields. I rarely use comfort seeds myself, so I will include a link to the FAQ below, so those interested can read more on them. The most important thing to remember is that comfort seeds take 3 seeds per 2x2 comfort field plot to plant.

If planting only on the three mainland fields, for 124 comfort plots (44+44+40), you will need 372 seeds. If planting on the 41 island comfort plants, you will need an additional 123 seeds, for a total of 169 plots and 507 seeds. As the spoiler below shows, each plot will give 15 seeds and suzy's spray will give an additional 4 seeds. Also Pumpkin Jam should give +1 seed per plot, and CAC another +2 seeds per plot. (Is it worth it? I don't know... like I said, I rarely ever use them, but it might be an option for those with major time restraints who rarely have to worry about drops).

If you are over level 60, and you can't be around when harvests are ready, then swift meadows may be a solution for you.

Weeds only appear 48 hours after the crops are ready!

Swift Meadows are only available as 2x2s.

The swift meadow can be found in your field-tab on the left.


They can also be found in the builder function of the harvester


You plant 3 seeds on each, and they will give a triple harvest (15 seeds on a 2x2 plot) and you will get double EP.

The growing time is 4x the normal growing time.

Water, Manure and Super-Grow will have the same effects on the time.
Suzy's Super-Grow however has an enhanced effect +4 crops (instead of +2)
