I have no idea if this is the correct place to post, but I'm so annoyed right now that can't find the right words to express my utter discust with this whole situation.-

~ To begin, we get no FAQ. Thanks to players helping each other, and after couple of days running like crazy all over the forum, we finally get to work the event & now this....
~ I spent a day & a half timing & checking amounts of EPs given with verious buffs.
~ I've been waiting for what seems forever for the 50% sale & when it was finally here, I spent tons of BBs on pets I don't need, nor want, because I was afraid that with what I already had I might not have made it. (And let's face it; The only really good reward from Step1 is the Mask shop).
~ Last night, just before going to bed, in addition to the smaller BB packs I had already purchased, I also went & bought the Starter.Package fro 1500 BBs & not because I needed anymore BBs but because by buying it, I would have gotten 100% bonus on EPs for 72Hrs.
(And all this- in double form, for I have 2 farms).

~ And then, on Suturday morning, I get up at 7am to start this infomous Step1 only to find out that it was all for nothing.

I've collected over 1/2 of the 60K from my 1st harvest.
Needless to say how great I felt knowing I won't have to spend 500K CCs for manure & won't have to keep vigil on the computer all day & night. I knew I'm 1 harvest away from completing. I already have 10K of the Sneezwort & felt like I'm almost "home free".

(I saw earlier the prices being credited to my 2nd farm, but since at the time this one was closed, I thought of it as a glitch & didn't pay much attention to it.)

Then a while back, going to do my 2nd harvest for the day, I noticed the timer is gone.

Now what, I asked myself... Run to the forum, of course!.... Only to find out that someone already cried "wolf", & that yes, indeed the timer is gone but we get to keep the prices.

Who cares???:mad::mad:I spent tons fo resourses & money, end up with half a dozen useless pets, my farms look like barren land - with no trees & animals- but hei, don't worry, cuz BP is graciously giving up all the reward for the 1st step. So I could've done nothing, not even start it & would have gotten the reward?

It's time for Farmerama to slow down & reevaluate it's course. Making money is fine but you(BP) will make money only as long as there're satistied custommers who are willing to pay for your products. This is my 2nd time in less than a month I feel like a total fool for playing this game.
Many of my neighbours are already flocking in other farm games; some simply switched F-ma for Farntasirama, but most are playing other Farm games, on other studios, & I'm not talking about beginners.

In ending, I have a simply question: Doesn't BP test the events beforehand? And by the way, what will happen to those players, unfortunate enought, who have already done the 1st Step but didn't make it to the 60K EPs? Will they be compensated also, or is it "too bad" that they didn't wait a little longer. O, and how do you think feel those who have made the 60K EPs & earned their rewards with hard work, lots of resources, & money?

I said one question but asked 3 instead......Well, try answering one;)
Either way you look at it, it's not fair!!!

I think is time to take this topic for a further discussion to FB & other social medias. I'm quite annoyed right now & don't even want to continue this stupid event.

    Great day(or evening) to everyone!

    Hello -Gigit-,

It's extremely easy answering your question and I will absolutely enjoy doing it, because your statements are definitely uncalled for. :(

I deeply and sincerely apologise for the lack of FAQ. But please keep in mind that yes, the community was amazing to stick together and help each other, but also two of our wonderful team members who had no information what so ever, did their best in collecting the information from other Forums and wrap up an FAQ with no instructions or information given, and with no training. This is a task for admins and higher - but the situation was very unfortunate and while I was away (ironically, for Farmerama purposes), our board admins had real life issues to deal with. Please keep in mind that at the end of the day, we are still volunteers, who give up on our free time to help other players, and we do this because we really love and enjoy it. So please, give our wonderful team members some credit as well, they honestly did their best in the given circumstances and I am extremely proud of them.

Next point: your strategy efforts. This is admirable. Well done! I am honestly impressed that you have found the time to do all this, the only part that saddens me is that I do not see you sharing this strategy with the other players - buffs and everything are perfect to be discussed in these threads. You would have not needed to spend a day and a half on checking all these things out.

Your 'steam' is really saddening. :( To summarize all that - you are this angry and disappointed because BP chose to fix the issue for EVERYONE, on a Saturday evening (!), instead of letting it stay bugged and affecting most players? :( We are playing Farmerama, a game where there is no prize for competition, it is the loveliest game, why would you want the other players to "suffer due to a bug", instead of seeing the wonderful part of it and be happy and admire this amazing Team for working on a Saturday night, to fix all this. Do you really feel they deserve this kind of attitude from the community? :( Hurtful ... I have not had to respond to such a comment in war-games communities, the players stick together and are happy for each other, and this is seen on Farmerama...

Excuse me for asking this, but for how long have you been playing the game? Do you recall a couple of years ago not even one event starting on time, or without problems? All the bugs from late start to missing baskets to missing event crops or worse, disappearing event crops, to lack of drops, and I could go on and on and on. None of this happened lately. Events are running smoothly, and players are loving them! Events are tested repeatedly, in different stages! That's how we had event after event after event with no problems what so ever.

Farmerama is blessed to have a wonderful team who put all their soul and dedication into this game, and they do not deserve such a feedback after all their efforts and work. After all the late hours worked. After all the passion put into it. After sorting out problems to make players happy. The event was FIXED for your fellow farmers, on a weekend. Be happy! Admire the Team! Don't feel so miserable just because others had it fixed 'easily'. You worked hard - Good for you! But would have made you happier if your fellow farmers would have been still stuck and facing problems? This was the quick solution to the problem, and it should make players happy, and have a happy community. We're a lovely casual game, not a competitive war game where people are wishing the worst to the other players ...

Take a deep breath and try to look at the whole situation, and try to understand that all these accusations are uncalled for. I do hope you will see things in a different light.

I apologise if anything I said came across disrespectful, I can assure you it is nowhere close to my intention, I am just extremely sad to see this kind of comments in such a wonderful community, with such lovely players.

    Best regards,
    teddy.bear

Firstly, thank you for your comment. Secondly, glad you're back! Thirdly, I'm sorry I'm posting after a mod, but I really feel I need to say something.

Firstly, -Gigit-, a quick browse of the forum would have told you everything you needed to know RE the FAQ. It was made abundantly clear from the start that the Mods were running below their usual number of team members. Further, if you had put in half the time and the effort to read the forum as you have in making this ungrateful post, you would have known that the Mods can only post the information they receive. They received nothing. That is not their fault. Instead they worked overtime to scrounge information from other informed forums to give you what information they could as quickly as possible. Player strategy threads and the "tentative FAQ" made attempts at translating FAQs from other forums. Whilst this did lead to confusion, it also provided a starting point. Every single person who has tried to help this situation - whom no one but BP is to blame for - has volunteered their time and their effort (both Mods and other players) so that people like you can be as informed as possible even when virtually no information is available. I personally find it horrendous that you would continue to complain about an issue that was patched up as best as possible by quite frankly dozens of volunteers.

Secondly, what you paid and gave up for your success was your choice. If you had spent a few minutes reading player strategies you would have known that your excess payment was not necessary. In fact the first level was quite easy. If you had read the strategy threads you would have known how to finish this event. Maybe you could even have helped other players. Again, I am honestly disgusted that you expect perfect services to be brought to you when you offer no one anything in return.

Thirdly, "who cares" about keeping the prizes? I'd say the thousands of people who put in lost effort cares about getting the prizes. If you don't want yours I'm sure there are many players who didn't finish the level who would be happy to have them. Are you really complaining about compensation for your troubles?! I highly doubt BP intended for this glitch to happen. But guess what - it did. And they're making up for it as best they can. For your information, no, you couldn't receive your prizes without starting the event. You would have had to be affected by the glitch to get your compensation. It's not the fault of BP, the Mods or anyone but yourself that you gorged yourself on BB packs and pets. That was an uninformed choice you made and it's not the fault of BP that so much of your savings went to waste when they didn't end up working. BP is to blame for the glitch, but they've compensated you for it. You are to blame for your exorbitant losses based on bad decisions.

Regarding your "warning" to BP about it's money making, I can assure you there are a great deal of satisfied customers in this community. Customers who understand that technology goes wrong. Customers who understand that Mods aren't to blame for lack of information. Customers who understand that they are privileged to be playing one of the best farming games out there for FREE if they choose to. Just because you are dissatisfied does not mean the rest are so ungrateful. If BP had done nothing about this issue it may be a different story, but they have compensated in abundance for the things that went wrong. I see no problem with that. I'm sure BP has a great deal to worry about but I can assure you, money making is not one of them. There are many satisfied customers who will continue paying for extra privileges, and I'm sure you were not the only ignorant player who splashed out for unnecessary boosters.

To those who had to work for their EP. Did I give up my time and my resources to reach 60K EP on my own? Yes. By choice. I didn't have to - I chose to. It would be a much bigger reflection on me as a person than on BP if I kicked up a hissy fit that people were glitched out of the game and given full rewards as compensation. They suffered, they deserve to be repaid. I'm glad they were. I'm not annoyed that I had to work for my EP to get the prizes. I looked at the rewards, I evaluated my chances, and I decided that I was able to work for my prizes. I didn't have to play. I started the event knowing full well the requirements and being willing to fulfill them. Why on earth should I be angry that I had to do something I explicitly agreed to doing from the start? No player was forced to give up their produce. Those who did, chose to.

Of course BP tests the events beforehand. But that does not mean mistakes cannot or will not be made. As teddy.bear has said, the events run 100 times more smoothly now than the did one, two, three and even four years ago. I remember - I was here 4 years ago. -edit- A reality check may be in order - this event runs on still relatively new technology on a worldwide basis. It's being used by hundreds of thousands of players. It will sometimes go wrong. Until you're in the shoes of someone who tests and retests these events, don't judge - and don't complain. Unless you're willing to bring us all a flawless event, I'd suggest you sit back and THANK the people who work tirelessly to bring us the best they can. I'll remind you that you got full rewards for this glitch as a sorry.

"It's not fair" Really?! Life is not fair. This is a game. You would not have lost so badly if you had done your research first. What's not fair is hardworking people copping flack from you for this event not being to your liking. Until you start contributing, don't expect to be receiving.

Thank you for your perspective on this, squigglegiggle, however I do want to point out immediately that -Gigit-'s efforts have been appreciated as well - for contributing to the collection of information, and making a very useful post as well, right here, about the partial rewards for the first step, so some of the comments might be a little bit too much and you might want to reconsider them.

I also want to clarify this:
I do want to say again that this stands for the the mods and smods who indeed received nothing and cannot be blamed, and they did their best to help the community in the given circumstances, as mentioned before. The blame should be put on me, and our admins. You cannot imagine how sorry we are, and how bad we feel about this whole situation - but we will definitely not let it happen again.

8)Whoaaa, people...can we back up a little. please? I've read all these posts, and they are, sadly, very distressing. All three have valid points, and each should be looked at fairly for what they are. Perhaps it was a mistake to do away with the steam room - this is a perfect fit.
It appears that Gigit was blowing off some steam and felt she had good reason. Who hasn't had 'issues' at some point or other? Having read the answers she got, I'm sure , now that she can see the other points of view, that she probably does not feel quite the same way or at least not as strongly. Since no one is perfect or can play any game perfectly....can we give her a break?
Then the mods got their feelings hurt, as most people would when they feel their innocence in question, and some very good points were also made.
As for the third commenter, it, too, belongs in a steam room, and was just as off the mark as the first comment. So...perhaps realizing that none of us ARE perfect...can we cut her a break as well?
Of all these comments, Teddy Bear's last summary is the fairest of all, and therefore most appreciated.
So, all you lovely, hard working, frustrated, steaming(for whatever reason), happy, and fairminded Farmers out there....shall we travel down the middle road all together...and remain good, kind, and forgiving neighbors? Please?:)
