Refinements during the fishing event

Hi, this looks like an interesting event, but I have a question The drop rate for the machine parts will be increased during the event. How does the machine part refinements work with that?

I have the machine part refinement for pumpkins: 550x higher chance of receiving a machine part. If I plant pumpkins during the event with the refinement active, what are my chances for getting a machine part? I can think of three alternatives:

• 550x higher chance based on the increased drop rate during the event
• 550x higher chance based on the normal drop rate for pumpkins
• The refinement doesn't work during the event
