I also had a pretty high initial drop rate. 227 with 3 fields of carnations and ginger on the Island, trophies maxed out and a howie on each field (too lazy to move them). In comparison I have a baby farm that only got 46. I had planted radishes (highest crop) and zucchini (also highest) with trophies at 13%.

If I remember correctly farmer_broke has a goal of having a farm on each market. IDK if that has been accomplished yet. :p:p

As far as drops go, I had 175 after 3 1/2 hours into event and they seem to be coming well with the event crop. I've completed the silvers on steps 1-4 and I'm just waiting on some cake to complete silver step 5. :)

Just getting home and just planted the first seeds...glad this event can be accomplished in the time given so I was able to enjoy time with mom and sister and did not stress about the event. Does that mean FOCD is cured? I did think about it but did not worry about it:pxD

I got 128 drops with ginger, refined carnations and refined roses. Had to go with one field of roses due to workplace problems keeping me busy until it was too late for carnations in that one field. Drops with 1x1's on my first harvest of yellow roses on one field with CAC, EM, Spring Wreath, and Carrot Bread (with CR's) were 9.

Running a bit behind in drops, but hope to get going better over the weekend - no job in the way!

Pnp - So glad you are not stressing and enjoying your family! Family is priceless.
Brookham - Your day sounds like the way mine started! Hope the rest of the event is more restful for you.

Congrats to everyone getting a good start and hope things continue going well. Happy event farming, everyone!:)

Awww pnp...I'm glad you got to spend time with your Mom & sister!!! :music:
Ariel - Yep...I'm not a big fan of friends dropping by unannouced and then staying for hours....but oh well....it was really nice to see her!
Willow - Do you get more done when you have a mile long "to-do" list???:wuerg: I seem to have 2 speeds....run like a bat out of _ or slow as a slug!:pxDxDxD..........at least my "drop in girlfriend" brought a 6 month, cute as a bug, baby girl with her!!! It's been years since I've held or played with a baby!!!:inlove: Too much fun!!!
I even forgot about planting yellow roses!!! o_O

Now...back on track....planting, milling friendship cakes like a mad woman!!!:p

:music: Doing a happy dance! Drops from yellow roses averaged about 12 a field on main farm, which was better than this morning. Also, I just spun the party wheel and got a 200% EP bonus for 24 hours!

Brookham - I may not get more done with a mile long list, but after awhile I get too numb to care! :D

plan will fail when accident come......a tired brain will let everything screw!

This week I need to get up quite early, so yesterday, I though I could keep awake
till midnight (0:55) for my yellow rose. But my brain tell me she is really tired. Even
I'm watching TLC (tv channel) try to keep me awake. but I just fall asleep.....
I wake up at 3:00am. What to do! Immed. harvest my yellow rose, replant it agian.
overnight plant. bye bye. It will be next day business-.-

Just harvest my 3:00am plant yellow rose, drops now got 230 (2 from magic tree)
It will be much higher if I could plant overnight crop:sleepy:

Timing is everything in this game. I have my Harvest Helper running for another twelve hours - oops. So instead of planting carnations overnight, and wasting all of those hours of help planting 1x1s, hope to get the yellow roses done first. (Who needs sleep?) So far the drops have been much better on the yellow roses than I expected. I am up to 291, almost 1/3 of the amount needed!

Oh poor dnin21cent...you sound like this is a sprint!

Ahhh.......I remember when I was young, Friday nights...so exciting the school or work week done...the whole weekend ahead...go out with friends, dancing, movies or parties! Now I love Fridays....cause I can stay home and rest!:wuerg:xDxDxDxD Am I a fuddy duddy or what?:sleepy:

I have started milling lots of friendship cakes....so I don't have them all left at the end.;) In about 15 minutes will harvest another round of those gorgeous yellow roses("Tie a yellow ribbon round the old oak tree":music:).

WOW! I have a mentor! Yippeeeeeeeeeeee! Just in time.

Only one field (thank goodness). I'll plant the event crop in the outlying 1x1 and see how far I get while I sell poop.

Poop selling is the only way to go for a new player with a new farm. Will be glad when my mentor helps me do stuff.

farmer_friendly (Is that you broke?) - I'm jealous of your "new" mentor!!!

Back on subject...LOL...I've decided.... after waiting up for last harvest of those darling yellow roses... that I will plant a longer crop overnight to insure more drops. Seeing the gorgeous "yellow ribbon round the old oak tree"......has put me in a faaaabulous mood!!!:D

Yesterday had thousands of everything required so did CAC White innocence, Easter Marmalade and Pinkie Pie. 2x2 plots and supergrow till I had enough crops to do all 4 fields. Last night I planted ginger on Baha and Roses on farm as they each take less than 9 hours I was able to get another round of event crops done. I forgot to check how many drops I got from overnight crops but I had enough after morning harvest to put in to production 160 potions.

Today did CAC, EM, and Spring Wreath and opened the flower cloud. Depending on drop rate and neighbours I expect to finish fairly early. I have made a fortune selling rabbits, mirabelle plums etc on the market. This is a good event for me.
I notice from my own farms that not all neighbours bother with gifts. Please do, your contribution might just make the difference to someone being able to finish the event or get as far as they want to go. :)
    Good luck everyone. :)
