Newbie observation

Same here, chookie...they've always counted toward my daily 20 limit on both this farm and on my steph2014 farm.

 

When my neighbors purchase the sale items with 'gift for neighbor' they also count in my daily limit of 20 gifts. The only instance this has not happened is when someone purchases the XL PF package with real money ($18.79) that gives 10 PF to neighbors. Those are excluded from the daily gift count.

 

hold on, hold on - daily gift limit of 20? How did you manage that? I opened the icon on the tree so now I can give 7 gifts; where the heck did you wrangle and extra 13 to give away????
Anyway the reason I popped in just now was to check some CR info - You know this 30/36 hour wait for the CR to .... ripen? When it does, does it automatically send the EP or are you meant to harvest? I just ask because the last couple of times, when I have gone back up the stalk, the row is open and when I click it locks down again, but no EP has been added to the numbers above (I checked carefully today, incase I was having an aneurysm the last time). I am thinking it may have gone up when the timer finished, as I did not memorise my EP before I went to sleep. Or maybe you have to be there the instant it ripens or you lose it

 

we can RECEIVE up to 20 gifts per day. We can only give 7 (or 5 if we haven't opened the extra gift rune).

I encounter this fairly often on days when there are PF sales.

 

Chris you have to harvest the cloud rows yourself...they don't automatically harvest. You don't have to do it the instant they're ready. I know feelfree2win and I gave you some pointers in posts #698 and #700, but if you really think you're not getting the EP, you need to post in the Tech Issues section. If you include your user ID, a mod can check your account for you.

 

Chris I will add this on the EP: write down what you have then harvest and then check your total EP. It is impossible to see it with the naked eye. I would do this before I posted anything just to be sure.

 

Hi LCD - Yes, I realised that after the previous questioning about it, andthe lovely Stephy told me there was no hat thing floating up like in the fields. So I checked it the next time, and she was right. But the last 2 times I have gone to harvest the CR, when I clicked it just locked the clouds and started the countdown, with no EP at all

Now, I look under announcement, event, monthly run down, where else do I look? it seems everyone else knows what to save for or try to ready for, but I seem to miss the info. boat here, can anyone shine some light as to where everyone goes to get info? I am getting bored of myself always asking what's going on?!?

 

Keltic, I usually watch the grapevine thread for information on what we might need to stock up on.

There is some info a the end of the Hungarian event thread about the friendship day event but nothing solid. Best I can tell is we might need apples, walnuts and sugarcane but that is not confirmed. Looks like there will be an event plant and a drop item as well. Not sure what the prizes will be as what is listed in the thread are the deco items currently on sale.

As MSP and pnp said, they count towards the 20 limit, I just want to add that if you have received 20 gifts already and a neighbor buys a sg/pf/ssg pack you will receive the free gifts next day, they are not lost

Ok, this is probably a dumb question, soI thought I would ask it here rather than in the issues thread: because you guys and gals know your stuff and won't judge me (too harshly)
I just noticed today (I know, slow) that when I plant something it does not give the EP or BP the menu states. I mean, blackberries are 10EP, according to the crop menu when you select them,but when I harvest them they give just 3.5EP.; the Pepper says 51, but the drop yields just 17.85. What is the deal with that?

 

What size plots are you using? The EP the menu states is based on a 2x2 plot.

 

oh; so the 1x1 is just a percentage of that, regardless of CAC (their maths is strange)

The EP listed in the crop menu is based on a 2x2 plot, just like Pnp said. So 1x1 plots give roughly a quarter of the EP, because they are a quarter of the size of a 2x2. CAC increases crop harvest, it doesn't effect EP in any way. And it wasn't a dumb question.

 

They must work in a tax office, if they think 3.5 is 25% of 10

 

Chris - did you have any pets or artisan EP buffs activated while you were looking at your EP? That would account for the additional EP.

 

Also, the Green Thumb rune on the Tree of Wisdom gives 10% more EP on everything you plant.

 

oh, I guess that's it - the green thumb; I probably activated that - aww.. now I guess I will have to stop pointing at BP and giggling.
On a positive note, I just passed 1m CC = selling blackberries at nearly 2000 cc each, so people can make the cake, has been very profitable. I don't mind having to have spent 50k cc on the Mirabella plums now
