While hanging out in the German Forum, I also found rumours about the next breeding animal next months. You all know him, we all have collected his stables like there is no tomorrow (if we wanted to or not :p ) Now it is time to put them out if you did not already do it (or get ready to sell them in lots and lots in Broke's case ;) ).

Disclaimer: No guarantees of course, this is still the rumour-section :music:

(It's the same link as in the September-breeding-event thread, but I wanted to keep them separate to not mash up everything)

Edit: Deleted the picture to avoid further confusion, really sorry about that, was not my intention :(

Ahhh, ok as above ugly, land flooding flat tail rodents.
The one animal that can get you a fine for damage to the river flow since on your land, but protected so you can't get rid of them, yes I remember them now.

A good tip, however, the evening before an event which will require us to get a good boost on drops is not the time to be putting out low ep animals. I will however, as soon as I can put them out and I am happy now that I seem to have gotten an abundance of these!!

This is a thread regarding the SEPTEMBER breeding event... lol
You have about 6 weeks to make some Beavers ;)

Edit: Well somebody's jumped the gun, beavers are over 2000 cc's in my market (they were under 900 cc's about a week ago) o_O

keltic, I think you're right, I believe this is in fact a picture of an otter (the first photo. The second one is definitely a beaver). Beaver don't swim on their backs, and they have longish, split nails on their feet for grooming their fur. Also, notice the lack of pronounced ears? Otter have them, of course, but the beaver's are much more noticeable. Did you know, beaver don't really eat wood? They do chew thru trees, and can devastate a patch of woodland in a short amount of time, but they don't down timber for food. Sticks and logs are used to build dams and lodges, but a beaver's diet consists primarily of bark; they particularly love young willows. The main reason they chew trees and sticks is because their teeth never stop growing, and chewing is a way to keep them from growing too long, sort of like filing your fingernails.:)

No arguments, Mir, just thought I'd share some beaver trivia, lol. Whatever happened to peacocks, they were the last animal in the breeding survey some time ago? All the others from the survey became breeders, but not the poor lonely peacocks.:cry:xD

Please do not get me wrong, I am having enlightening news I am still lacking a stall, forgot to ask about another stall, just to be told what yet another stall does and then I read this, I really thought there be another animal I missedo_O
I added the pic to your wonderful find in the other forum just to make sure I am on the right set of notes.
Also, this rodent is a _______nasty thing, you as a landowner will have to jump threw hoops to avoid fines and debris clean-up to get the stream back to normal. You will have to fight 5 different gov. offices to just show it's a beaver not me!.
Lets not start on tree damage you will be fined for due to rare tree law! But don't metal wrap the trees as peta says that adds to stress on them....:sleepy:
But I digress, it will be nice to have a new breeding animal, thank-you for the work you did and the time you gave us in finding out and letting us know ahead of time.

You can wrap fencing material, like chicken wire, around trees to keep them from getting banded, you just have to make sure to leave room for the tree to continue growing. A beaver can kill a tree without actually felling it, likewise a tree that has been partially chewed thru can still survive. What will kill the tree is if it is completely banded, that is, if all the bark is stripped from the entire circumference of the tree. The tree needs the bark to feed, that is how water and nutrients are carried throughout its system. No bark, no nutrients, dead tree. So a tree that has been say, 1/3 gnawed but still has bark connecting the two segments can survive. More beaver trivia you never knew you didn't care to know.:pxD

We have a different term for your "banded". We say "girdled". :) (More trivia, lol.) Results still the same.
