CJ- That is happy news indeed! I am glad you have found peace in the chaos. I like the plan of getting the house ready to move into. Sometimes in the military, we moved into quarters and had to clean around our boxes. Not fun! I agree with Brooke- it will be lovely to see your own family's cherished treasures that have been packed away just waiting to be unpacked in your own home to reflect your own sense of style.

@CJ, my lemon tree try's to get taller and have branches that stick out. I have to always trim them off so it's not like that.

@Brooke, sorry to hear about your problem. I really hope things get better for you!

I'm not sure about when I'll visit her, but I know maybe early 2016? It all depends how much money I can save each month that will go towards the trip. If we're allowed to say this, I estimated it would be $2300.00 USD.

solo - Thanks for your caring concern. I'm hoping my meds will work this time! Ewww that's so long & so expensive to see your girlfriend! I really hope it won't be so long.

 

He has all kind of begonias and all colors. Small flowers, simple flowers, double flowers, with many petals, red, yellow, white, orange, pale pink. They are sooo sensitive and in winter they die and grow new ones in spring. They are sensitive at water, light, temperature. I think my father really likes flowers and all kind of plants. He also likes farming but he can't do that anymore.
I was also moving several times, and I know how crazy is to move. So good luck and a lot of strength and patience ^_^

 

LOL! Oh Jools! I have long ago decided that if you can't find humor in situations that you end up driving yourself batty! But what do I say to that comment of yours?? I know! How about... "Oh, ye of little faith!"

So an update on the house... closing will be approximately two weeks from tomorrow. So either the 13th, 14th or shortly after. We have written permission to move in and occupy the house while waiting for closing to come together (and it's rent-free amazingly!) So we head out early tomorrow (Thursday) to do some cleaning, and to also fill out some paperwork for school and work. When we are done, we drive back (most likely Saturday). Then have a day to rest before getting the U-haul on Monday. Then we leave again to go back to Illinois sometime Tuesday. Jora's school starts Wednesday - perfect! (Oh, why does thinking of all this suddenly make me feel so tired??) Of course, I'm sure something will change along the way - isn't that how real life works lol??


Hey Brooke! Good to see you around! {{big huggle}} I have a job all lined up as a substitute at the nearby schools. Right now, it is a matter of fingerprinting, a physical, and some paperwork. The principal in town says they always need parapro aides! This gives them a chance to get to know me, and me a chance to get to know different teachers. I am looking forward to that part of it, but will be happy to get a consistent position and really get to know some kids!

@pnp ~ you guys talk as if we rented a storage unit or something...! We got rid of a lot of furniture before we moved. Everything except 2 beds are packed away in boxes in my MIL's house here. I will admit that there are certain photos and art work of Jora's (especially school pottery) that I do look forward to displaying again!

Oh, so many more posts that I want to reply to lol! For now I will just leave behind a big {{{hug}}} and have to play catch-up later!

Brooke, I care about everyone's health, I would never want a friend to be suffering from something like that. I will admit that this game really has some nice charming people who make can improve your sad/bad days. My Farmerama wife @mindy1701 is one of great people. She was able to help me feel better.

I kind of realized that Amazon would probably only allow me to take a two week break. So this means the trip would will be less money. I have now came up with about 1650 USD for the new amount. I should be able to reach this at faster rate. (4 to 6 months)
However, I wouldn't just buy the ticket, you can find deals for better deals.

Whaaattt!!!???? I don't normally come over here to Gabfest unless directed to, by Princess Lily...LOL! The Poem by Prince Davidb was a shocker, but I saw this pair of Lovebirds coming!!! Congrats and I feel that when you two meet for the first time it will be magical!!

 

Congratulations to you David! (And welcome to the ILP!!) So when will this Princess Lily come here and visit us?? I am itching with curiosity to meet her lol! I wonder if she is from the pink thread??? You have to bring her over and introduce her! (Or maybe someday when things are less crazy I will finally officially visit DBAYES and Brooke's thread of all things pink and perhaps introduce myself?? (Loved the poem!!)

I really should visit the pink thread.. after all it was founded by two of my dear neighbors and I have finally earned a pink (fish) pen!! I finally gave up on getting extra EP when harvesting - long story - and yes, I had actual mystery stables still lol!) ~ I did have a pink chicken egg pen but it didn't count as I won it in a BP contest and I never used it lol - and it actually just got traded this last G&T for a Fishing BEP giver! ♥♥♥ (So many good fishing memories from childhood - how could I resist??)

@solo~ that lake is gorgeous!!! I love the beauty of nature... yesterday I was cleaning in our house (closing is officially set for next Friday afternoon!!) and I looked out to see a beautiful sunset. It just stirs something inside of you so satisfying when looking at views like that! And to think I get to see it every night when doing dishes!!


In other news, Jora is all set for school - I just need to email a copy of her birth certificate. She is signed up for her sophomore classes, and since she took Spanish in 8th grade, she will now be taking Spanish III with a small group of Seniors. The teacher says they are a nice bunch of kids and Jora really surprised me in taking both Spanish and Choir, which she has had rough experiences in the both at the school here.

I loved the kitty event! Would have had to give a lot of thought in deciding if I would have tried for the top 1000 - but moving house kinda decided it for me - but with a little help from some wonderful friends, I got a lot more done than I thought I was going to be able to! I am really looking forward to the Nubleon event - of course it starts right as we head with the U-haul cross country lol!
But I have batteries saved from last time... really looking forward to getting some Kiwi and super-friends!! (And hopefully via those super-friends some more Classic Parrot IIs!) A girl has to dream big sometimes right??

Anyway, blessing to you all... the next time I write, I will be back in Illinois and writing from my new house - or the library, depending on if/when we get internet hooked up lol!

Hi, CJAT!! LOL!.....I'm here to hopefully scratch that 'curiosity itch'...one with which I'm only too familiar! I'm not a big poster, especially since David has come into my life!! (I think I've practically disappeared from posting!) But I do thoroughly enjoy reading as many of these beautiful posts from our Farming family as I possibly can!!

And I have very much enjoyed yours, CJAT, so that I feel that I know you a bit! Moving to a new house and a new life can be so exciting!!....And tiring as well...but worth it!! And it sounds like Jora is ready, too.....sooo important!
As a fellow nature lover in the extreme, I revel in your beautiful descriptions....and to watch a gorgeous painting across the sky each night!!...Pure bliss!!
