Strategy for Kitty Chaos

I'm very happy to hear that many of you are finishing the event! I figure all the entertainers after that, are gravy, or dessert!
I'm starting to get a bit nervous about the Top 1000 though. I sure wish BP would give each language forum their own Top Prize!!!! I'm afraid it's going to be a frenzy near the end.
To clarify....after end of event...we cannot donate to kitties???? It will just be the leveling out of the ranking after????

That's the way I understood it, Brooke - event ends, no more plants or kitties. I too am hoping there's no last minute frenzy, cos there's no way I can even touch those at the top with their 700+ kitties!

 

I finished the event this morning after my harvest. I'm still growing some osier but I have out rabbits, goats and beavers cause if the rumors are correct I don't want to be caught short. Good Luck to everyone still trying to complete! Plenty of time still so hang in there.

 

All done with event and did 30 extra's Stopping as I know I will not make top 1,000 @dafodily Happy Birthday to you and enjoy them presents @Brookeham I agree and what they should do next time is take the 1st 100 or so from each forum as it would make it more fun to see us all work for it and cheer each other on as I am doing now! Good luck to you all on the list and will be making a toast to you next week

 

My strategy is now to take a nap I am still growing event crops and milling cat toys. I am also concerned about the last minute frenzy and hope I have done enough to stay on the list. Thank you all for your continuing support.

Be careful about using your chestnut cloud row, david, remember it needs 96 hours to reset, and we start another event on the 11th. Make sure there's enough time for it to reset before the start of the next event, would be my suggestion.

Thanks TCRooster for the clarification. As pnp indicated....lack of sleep is starting to get to those of us attempting the Top 1000. All the growing/harvesting/replanting osier & then heading repeatedly to the mill is making me a bit dizzy. So all will end on the 9th except for the ranking. Good to know. At this point there is 57 hours left...so 2.3 days.

 

Accumulated a grand total of 110 event crops.
Milled exactly one kitty toy.

Played with that one tom cat who ate my expensive chicken.

Cat lovers don't read this : ..........................................(better to edit it out than to face the wrath of that Teddy and crew. Teddy, whatcha got in that mod fridge over there?)

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, David,.........That's one Cooool cat!! My money would be on Ms. Fang 'N' Claw!! TeeHee!!

 

IMHO I think the last "minute rush", will actually be a last half hour rush.... In the market based top 1000 a person could donate 20 million ccs worth with one (or a few) click of the mouse, but here each kitty takes about three clicks and a wee wait. And no-one will want to get caught with unopened presents or unused kitties...

I have finished with the event plus 70 extras.
now I think I will go back to regular farming as I can not grow crops fast enough to try and make more kitty toys.

The End of This Event is Drawing Nearer as some of you are concerned about Last Minute Frenzy.....My Fellow FOCD Farmers you need to Relax it would be extremely difficult to donate Entertain Cats at Last Minute The Three obstacles to Generate Cat Teasers

• You Cannot Harvest Osier Crops Instantly Even if you use Super Grow on Osier Combined with Fruit Cake and White Innocent Buffs
• The Maximum amount of Fields using 1x1 is 771 Fields Unless you are to Prepare to Burn 771 Super Grow speed it up by 75%, then you would have the Issue of Reaping More Osier than you are with Balls or Yarn Ratio
• Reaping 771 Fields using CAC reaps you a gain of 2313 Osier But this on it Own Reaps roughly 50 Balls of Yarn, you are roughly 70 Balls of Yarn SHORT to use 2200 Osier to Make 20 Cat Teasers in the Mill which requires 120 Balls of Yarn
• The Shortfall Balls of Yarn can be Obtained By Buying The Event Baskets this means more RL Money to Spend, there other alternative is to use Refinements of Roses,Organic Cotton or Carnations using Comfort Fields to be Used with Supergrow
• Refinements of Roses, Carnations or Organic Cotton is only be able to be Reaped Instantly if you Activate Chestnut Cloud Row combined with Fruit Cake and White Innocents which Chestnut Cloud row takes 96 Hours for Reactivation without this you would not be able to reap the crops Instantly This Way which can Reap you 36 to 44 Balls of Yarn per POP
• If you have surplus Cat Teasers Do not waste them Use them up As Soon as Possible as Hunch is right The Top 1000 is based on first come first served the sooner you used Cat Teaser you on the In Top1000 of the list of the others on the Same Number
• Dont Not Bother Growing Osier Crops with Less than 6 Hours to go unless you are prepared to used loads of Super Grow !!!
• But you can Buy Large or Medium Kitties Baskets than Includes Osier Crops that going to be very expensive plus you can used BB to Speed up Milling Time of Cat Teasers Squeeze in Some Cat Teasers at Last Mins

I am Guessing if you got roughly about 300 Cat Teasers in Top 1000 you are very very Likely to Make it but if you have 250 or less need to work on more Cat Teasers if you can. Do no Start to Panic as in last Top 1000 I move up about 200 Places When that event ended due to Cheaters and Bots !!!

That why it is going to a few days to run scripts to filter out any cheats. The Official Top 1000 Result can be seen until 16th August !!

Please Consider these Factors as I not Want to see anyone missing out, specially all that hard grating to remain in Top 1000 The Number Farmer on list had made 1059 Cat Teasers that is Insane and silly cos that Farmer only going to get The Same Prizes as the Farmer who finished in 1000th Place

 

Forgive me for not fully understanding....I am tired and have never paid attention to the specific way the top 1000 is ranked since I never participated before. But....are you saying that if you have a tie for a certain number of donations that you can still be eliminated even though now you show on the list because you did not make that number first? I thought the list that exists now is the top 1000 that shows tied farmers and that after the event ends, the officials have to check for cheaters and they are eliminated leaving the rest.

So...I could still go home without the goodies even though I may have donated more than others just because I did not reach that # place first? How very discouraging.
