Ok friends, this is serious. Last night was so hot the air conditioner was blowing hot air. It was so hot I managed to sleep at past 3 AM. My husband wake me up at 7 AM that he will die if he can't cool down. The cold showers are not effective anymore. So we went in forest at some small river until now. It was bearable there. But we come home and we are suffering again. It's 8 PM and are 31 degree Celsius and humidity 69% and wind 0. In this night the lowest temperature will be 26 but the humidity.... Tomorrow the temperature will increase...:cry::cry:

bygo - I can't imagine that sort of heat. We English grumble about our weather all the time but mainly because it is so unpredictable and even if the forecasters say it will be sunny, we still get rain. It is supposed to be sunny today but it is cloudy and the cat was a tad damp when she came in just now.
Arielh - it is raining because eldest son and wife are coming your way - their last holiday was a washout so they are really hoping for some sun this time.
I don't envy anyone who has extreme weather.

bygo_cris - so sorry for the misery! Weather is not much better at my home lately, with heat index well over 100 for weeks.

My blessings for refreshing breezes and and break in the hot weather, and a photo of a chilly forest to let your imagination walk through. Hope things improve soon!:inlove:

Sorry bygo_cris, that kind of heat is miserable.
It's sooo Hot here too. Going to be in the 90'sF - 32C today. We are lucky we have a good Sea breeze but it's been raining every afternoon so the humidity is 100%. That makes the air just feel hot and wet.
I only go out in the early morning or late evening, even the pool is starting to feel like a warm bath

It's okay now. It rained in the morning(it was a surprise! but at least now it is not so hot) and now it stopped. I am sure your son and your son's wife will enjoy the sun in Greece, we don't expect more rain.

I hope the weather will improve for you JJenks and bygo_cris:)

Thank you @Willow. That photo give me some chill for a second. I can imagine how great is there with so much snow. I hope the weather improve there soon.

@farmerumf before I was living in Europe and the weather it's not so extreme to often. And summer was always my favorite season. So when I meat my husband and we was talking on internet he said he hates summer and in summer he stays in house and sleep most of time. And I was surprised how can somebody don't like summer. Well... in Korea my favorite season changed in autumn because autumn in here is like summer in Europe :wuerg:

@JJenks Sorry to hear that you have same problem with the heat. Here is dangerous to go out at night do to the Japanese mosquito alert. People can die if they are bite from that mosquito. Hope for better weather there Jenks.

Thank you Arielh. May God here your words.

labmommy30 in the market is great because is more cold. I like to go shopping in summer because of that. I stay in the market a few hours to enjoy the temperature there;) :p

Not sure exactly how bad it got here today but they were saying possible heat index of between 113 to 124. AC is out in my car so finding me at home is a high possibility lol.

Temps been all over the place the last few weeks, extreme hot, blessedly cool, and for the last 3 days, horrendously smoky AND hot (forest fires in the mountains, blowing smoke and ash our way).:( Today it went from 82 fahrenheit to 44 in about 2 1/2 hours, which I'll gladly welcome since it's been so unbearably hot most of the summer. Right now it's raining and a thunderstorm's approaching. Cam doesn't mind them, but need to go chase Moose out of the bedroom, where he goes to hide every time it booms :p.

(Found Moose cowering beside the bed, shaking. He'd have been under it if he could have fit, poor baby. Felt so bad for him couldn't even be mad at him for going where he's not allowed.)

Scary at the moment with a severe thunderstorm going on. We are just on the edge of it looking at the radar but if it moves more this way it's going to get pretty hairy soon.

Spots we've currently got 3 dogs all of whom are scared of thunder. I should say my brother has 3 dogs as they all belong to the main house so I don't have to deal with them so much but my poor 85 year old Mom ends up with the two small ones on her lap and the big lab lies across her feet.

62 degrees and cloudy... after a summer of steady 70 to 90 degree days I put on a jacket.
Just a spell of cooler weather and then hopefully another beautiful Indian Summer before one of those lousy Midwestern USA winters. Mid-October is our peak for Autumn colors.

I want to go where you are Banjo! ;) It is still in the 90's in northwest Florida; though the prediction is for around 66 degrees at night for the remainder of the week. Hope at last for turning off the air conditioner!:)

We are watching Tropical Storm Erika carefully. Time to gather supplies. The predicted path today has it coming up the east cost of Florida possibly effecting my area sometime between Sun. to Tues. Hoping it turns and stays out further in the ocean.

Doing the same in my location, though a direct hit is less likely in my area. We still often get power outages and tornado problems with tropical storms nearby. And those predictions can change overnight can't they, JJenks!
Take care my friend and hoping with you for Erika to take the Gulf Stream out to sea.:)
