Strategy for Kitty Chaos

I don't understand the logic of most people here. If someone managed to entertain 200 cats and did it in 100hrs and someone else managed to do the same in 15ohrs, how is that possibly a tie? the placing is obviously decided on numbers and time.
I also fail to see how timezones how anything to do with it. If you're not already on the list, you simply need to donate more than those on the list, donating the same won't get you on

 

Jools it has nothing to do with time. No matter in how many hours some players entertained the same amount of kitties it is still the same number. In the top 1000 will get the ones who have entertained the most cats, it is nowhere mentioned that time will play a role, there is only a time limit when the event ends.

 

I guess this confusion about time was originated by my question -couple of pages back- regarding what would happen with a tie at the bottom of the last final version of the Top1000 list and someone who afterwards speculated -and posted- the "first come, first serve" principle is applicable, stating it as a fact on unknown grounds, not as a speculation, the only thing it is unless one knows for sure, because it belongs to the development team to determine that. In fact, even mods would know the answer for sure for this specific event only if they had asked the development team or if they were specifically told.

For me, the matter of the doubt I published was settled when someone IGMed me after having read my post: this person mentioned my same question/doubt was put in the German forum and some mod answered that, at the bottom, let's say if the player in position 1000 has 250 kitten things delivered, then all those having 250 will get the prize, regardless of if this means more than 1000 players will get it. Which is, in my opinion, the only decent thing to do.

Having said so, that's why it should not matter when anyone delivers the kitten things. Provided the amount delivered secures them to be in the list, they will be inserted in it, unless the amount delivered is surpassed by others delivering during the same time window between refreshes and, hence, not making it into the list.

 

Thank you Aluntino for putting our minds at rest over when entertainers are delivered and ranking.
My worry is...that many players are hoarding their entertainers and will make a mass delivery near the end of event. This will wreak havoc with the rankings. Deep breath....need to remind myself...that this is just a game!

Yes, Brooke. But that's to be expected. It's a legitimate strategy as any other because, it's a game, as you said, but it's as in real life: not everyone puts all her/his cards on the table all the time. In fact, I have more kitten things ready than the ones I've already delivered precisely because I expect others to be doing the same thing. What I watch is the bottom of the list and act in accordance.

But, anyway, Brooke, I think that you, even with your current standing in the list, will make it into the final Top1000 list. And for sure you will deliver more till event end, so I bet you'll make it.

 

In one hour, and 39 comfort fields in the Glade, and the two cloud rows mentioned and with fruit cake (and CAC) and white innocence, plus the refinements all added up to getting 1457 drops from a spend of 580 BB s. Plus I got 22,800 roses !
Thanks guys, you have taught me heaps. I will revert to growing osiers as I need about 17,000 to use up all those drops !!!
Twice I got 39 drops from 39 comfort fields and the rest averaged 35 and the instant harvest is the way to grow stuff ! (at a cost of supergrow)

That Good to Hear Whoever finishes in 1000th Place any other farmer got the same amount of Cat Teasers but is in 1001th places onwards will also get the Prize that sound very fair to me

I hope Pups and Brookeham and others still in Top 1000....Just Try Keep Getting as Many as you can as I am trying to get as many as i can until the End.

But from Tomorrow we will be getting drop of Nublonian Batteries as well as Balls of Yarn

David that is Great you got additional drops of Balls of Yarn 1457 as you need 6 Balls of Yarn with 110 Osier to Make 1 Cat Teaser to use all 1457 of Them you will need 26,200 Osier That is going to be very Tight Squeeze need to be Reap before Event Ends just try do as many as you can.

I am very please that you see the protential Benefits of using Chestnut Cloud Row used with Supergrow Buffs and Comfort Fields, if you had any Howie Donuts it would have boost your Drops slightly More I got my Supergrow from Soup and Friends Quest Not Only you gain all those Roses 22,000 of them but all those Tools Drops and Event Drops too.

I recommend anyone using this Method Tomorrow if they not activate Chestnut Cloud Row ...why because you will be getting loads of Nublonian Batteries added to your barn ready for the Nublon Event starting on 11th August !!!

I am not sure about Holding Back I am Thinking about 350+ Cat Teasers should do the trick. The Real Problem is cant Grow Osier quick Enough even using Super grow on Osier if some farmers are prepared to stay away for next 36 Hours to do this i can try do seven more rounds of Osier using water only

I just add into the Pot Regardless try move up the list as much as i can Because of Time Difference Before Event Ends some of you will be in bed or going to bed or waking up when this Event Ends. Leaving it to last Mins might pose a risk to some of you. I am going to play safe put it all in as i can

 

I so hope you all make it! I wish I could have supported each and every one of you but with only 7 gifts to give that was just not possible. I've got some strong Jamaican blue mountain coffee in the freezer though guaranteed to keep you awake for almost the entire 35 hours left. I'll just start brewing that up, shall I?

I wish I could take over for farmers and allow them SLEEP, but what I can do is support as many as possible= we are so proud to have so many wonderfully dedicated friends in this forum. Im so proud of all of you .

I hear ya, 178 done and not one GB, I wanted my field back, I wanted to get just one but no luck so far, I feel your pain.

This time, cannot scroll down to see all list. But enough for my shocking.
Rank 1 had 1551 , I had feed 51 extra, So, it's 30X of mine.
Wonder what the number will be at the end

I admitted: the air-conditioner cooling my body. But my brain still a bit hot.
So, I find something to relax & my brain keep roaming around

 

New strategy.... remember my password to be able to log in. So tired and brain is not operating on all cylinders...when prompted for password, I typed......password and could not figure out why I could not get in!
