Strategy for Kitty Chaos

I might have to get him to do that! Although he did have to put up with me grumbling about about needing to harvest and how long does it take to get seen around here, shortly followed by an announcement that I really did have better things to do. Who'd have thought bringing feed to a horse could cause so much bother!

I have experienced the same thing! Not a fractured rib but a neck injury when a horse took exception to me being in her stall giving her grain. She pinned me against the wall...She was a high strung mare that I did not know well (working at a riding stable and it was my first day) and nothing like the sweet companions I knew growing up.

 

So glad you are not badly hurt, but I know how painful a rib injury is. Took me awhile to move without discomfort. Blessings for a quick healing and a clear head despite painkillers!

 

Oh TC so sorry to hear about your ribs and I know your pain. I had the same thing happen at a horse stable I was working at. Gentle horse as long as i knew him just up and kicked for no reason. Broke 3 ribs and cracked 2, was down for awhile. Needless to say had to quit that job. That funny part is I had 3 horses of my own and hubby tried to clean their stalls yep that didn't work so had to hire someone. Get better soon and GO GET em, you can do it!!! Rooting for you all GO TEAM!!!!

 

Well, my own modest goals have been accomplished. I am milling the last of my teasers, and I will have 200 kitty cats entertained! My fields are back to regular farming (at last) and preparation for the upcoming events.
Rah! Rah! Rah! The wire is just ahead - persevere top farmers!

 

Oh poor TC!!! I hope you feel okay! See....you should just stick to kittys! LOL Did they have any treatment for FOCD at the ER???

Only 11 hours to go....and feeling okay(kitty gifts that is)....I even took a nap and went to the grocery store! I can't decide to plant osier in 1x1's late tonight...and get up very early for a harvest & mill of entertainers....hmmmm. I'm hoping to stay above 200...but nervous that all of Europe is going to wake up soon. I just barely missed (twice) the 100% bonus on the wheel in the last 24 hours!!! Oh that would have been so fabulous!!!!

Ah, the stories we horse owners can tell. It's not if, but when will you get hurt. Toes that get stomped on, getting crowded in tight spaces, parting company with the saddle (or back of the horse, bareback). (I once went braless a couple of weeks while the bruise healed, but I got back on the mare an hour later and rode a Dressage test. She really didn't mean to step on me but there I was on the ground under her feet instead of in the saddle. Silly owner!)

 

lol horse stories... been thrown more than once, horses do not like snakes, especially rattlesnakes, they see , hear or smell one and the rider usually gets thrown, one horse tried to wipe me out with a low hanging branch ( silly me riding in a thunderstorm) The story that will always stick with me clearest tho... ( ditched school with a friend) to go ride her horses, the cinch broke mid gallop, saddle and I both slid to the left side, by the time my friend got both horses stopped the saddle was completely under the horse's belly ~ wildest ride I ever had, and no desire to repeat that one!
