Harvest hoedown & TOP1000 2015

Since we had a TOP1000 for the cat event the question came up if there'll also be a "normal TOP1000". The question was posed in the German general issues, and surprisingly there was an answer!

Good information you provided. Personally I use the information provided in the German forum for confirmation because I use other means of prediction. Now some will understand why I began a thread in the strategy section July 12 and quickly asked that it be closed on July 20!

Then what do you know, a TOP 1000 growing based event suddenly appears. I really liked that event, did not participate in it directly but gave full support to as many as I could that did. I am very happy for and proud of those in this forum who made it.

My comments below are not in the least meant to minimize their accomplishments but to provide an explanation, buy it or not.

• Why would the game change from a barn-burner TOP 1000 to a grow-oriented TOP 1000?

Variety perhaps but what is accomplished in game direction through a market-based TOP 1000 is quite different from what is accomplished in a growth-oriented TOP 1000. There is little reason for a complete change but a complement to a barn-burner is ideal.

• So why would BP have a TOP 1000 growth-oriented event?

During the last two TOP events there was a normal comment section. In that section there was an overwhelming number of complaints. All simply do not use the market. Although the event itself can be completed without playing the market, one WILL NOT prove competitive in any TOP competition unless one does. (There are exceptions but it would take a couple of years of nonstop preparation.) And the growth-based TOP 1000 was a beautifully executed marketing gimmick coupled with excellent game consumer satisfaction.

• Will there be a TOP 1000 as part of the next Harvest Hoedown?

Prediction methods indicate YES. With certainty, NO. There is no reason to stop a long-standing tradition which is meeting an important game developer objective: The removal of ccs (or cc equivalent items as you may have it) from the game itself.

• Will there be another growth-oriented TOP 1000?

Prediction methods indicate YES. And I would not be surprised at all if a breeding-based TOP 1000 emerges. Most everything is in place! Nothing more needed here other than confirmation from the German Forum.
