My husband opened his eyes and moaned several times last night. He hasn't said a word yet, but will move his head when asked simple questions. He also smiles when the girls or I hold his hand or caress his head. I am so grateful for everything the people here have said to me and in their prayers.

Just got sent to my hotel room by my mother. She insisted that I need rest. He still hasn't fully awakened yet. Just opening his eyes and moaning from time to time. The doctors lowered his status to stable. He is responding to their tests of his reflexes and are optimistic. Will update when I have more to share.

 

Get some rest Tiffney sitting in a hospital can be so tiring and you are going to need your strength as he continues to improve.

I have Great News!!! The pathology report came in. The tumor was a oligodendroglioma grade 2 - Pre cancer. Very rare only 6% of all gilomas. Very slow growing, and they think it had been there for a long time. They are not doing any Chemo or radiation at this time, just following closely by MRI.
He is recovering remarkably fast and has to be reminded to take it easy. There has been some cognitive skill loss but nothing that therapy cannot repair.

Arrived at the hospital this morning to find out that they were prepping my hubby for another surgery as he needed screws and pins just below his knee since the swelling had gone down. The nurses said he opened his eyes a few times in the recovery room and is still having dreams as he still mumbles from time to time. The doctors reduced his pain medication to see if that will help.

Tiffney - I am so pleased to hear of your hubby's increasing awareness! As others have said, get necessary rest; also eat properly (not just snacks) so that you will be healthy and able to handle increased duties when he is fully aware and needs your attention. Will continue holding you up in prayers.

Hello everyone and thank you so much for your prayers. Sorry I'm answering so late. My parents are living in Romania and I don't talk often with them due to the time zone. (When here is day, in Romania is night).
My father had kidney surgery but due to some complications he had high level of infection. He was hospitalized 3 weeks. Today he will be released and if he will not have infection anymore, he will go next month for a check up.
I'm so happy and looking forward to talk with him today... or tomorrow. Thank you all so much. Good bless you all.

I was awakened a short while ago to the wonderful sound of my husband humming the theme to Gilligan's Island with the tv. He is somewhat alert and coherent. He keeps asking if the boy and his family is okay as he remembers honking his horn for a boy before the accident as they passed him. He didn't hit anyone else, so I think his timeline is still off. He says he remembers the kids being here and talking to him and he has tried to talk to us, but couldn't mouth the words. I am thinking that it was the pain meds they were giving him. He is asleep now. Thank you again for all your kind words and thoughts.

-edit- JJ I hope your cousin is enduring and that everything is okay. Some times it takes too long for reports... and you are absolutely right, when it's bad, they normally know right away. I'm so relieved you got good news. Chris my prayers are for your father and he is blessed to have such a daughter as you.... Prayers are Powerful always.... It must be very hard for you to live in different time zones than your parents. Tiff I hold you and your family close to my heart..... Thank you so much for all your updates to let us know how he is coming along and how well he is advancing in his recovery. Miracles happen and here on these pages of prayers, that is all very apparent. I know how hard it is to be praying and worrying over loved ones... -edit-

 

I am so happy to start my day with the good news from all three families that have posted here. I pray that you continue to have loved ones improve in their health and may the Lord continue to shine his love on you.

 

I too start my day reading all the good news from bygo_cris, and Tiffneyaire, it is just so great that your loved ones are on their way to better health and recovery! Don't forget to take care of yourselves too! Thoughts and prayers to you all!
