On first glance, I was :wuerg: but having had a quick look at my stock of coloured critters, it doesn't seem so bad ... unless I have messed up with my calculator - which is possible! Any corrections gratefully received. :p

    So here are my calculations:

    Chicken Side

    Required Value/Reward

    5000 worth of Chickens/Coloured Chickens 15 x Power feed, 15000 EP, 30000 CC
    10000 worth of Chickens/Coloured Chickens 3 x Carrot Apple Chutney, 20000 BEP, 40000 CC
15000 worth of Chickens/Coloured Chickens Chicken Coop V: Neon
    25000 worth of Chickens/Coloured Chickens 2 x Golden Bananas, 75000 EP, 125000 CC
35000 worth of Chickens/Coloured Chickens Swirly Slide

Total: 90,000 worth of Chickens/Coloured Chickens

Total (inc 45,000 for Cloud Row): 135,000 worth of Chickens/Coloured Chickens

    Rabbit Side

    Required Value/Reward

    6000 worth of Rabbits/Coloured Rabbits 18 x Power feed, 20000 EP, 40000 CC
12000 worth of Rabbits/Coloured Rabbits 4 x Carrot Apple Chutney, 35000 BEP, 80000 CC, Neon Stables Event Sticker
18000 worth of Rabbits/Coloured Rabbits Rabbit Hutch V: Neon
    30000 worth of Rabbits/Coloured Rabbits 3 x Golden Bananas, 90000 EP, 180000 CC
42000 worth of Rabbits/Coloured Rabbits Swing Set

Total: 108,000 worth of Rabbits/Coloured Rabbits

Total (inc 54,000 Cloud Row): 162,000 worth of Rabbits/Coloured Rabbits

    Goat Side

    Required Value/Reward

    7200 worth of Goats/Coloured Goats 20 x Power feed, 25000 EP, 45000 CC
    14400 worth of Goats/Coloured Goats 4 x Carrot Apple Chutney, 37000 BEP, 90000 CC
21600 worth of Goats/Coloured Goats Goat Pen V: Neon
    36000 worth of Goats/Coloured Goats 3 x Golden Bananas, 110000 EP, 200000 CC
50400 worth of Goats/Coloured Goats Trampoline

    Total:129,600 worth of Goats/Coloured Goats

Total (inc 64,800 for Cloud Row): 194,400 worth of Goats/Coloured Goats

My strategy is to use the coloured animal nearest to the required value, make it up with lesser value coloured animals and lastly base critters. :D

I will not breed any unless I have to and, hopefully, there will be Baby Boom this weekend. So I will save my PF and try to finish off Cuckoos and do some "normal" breeding! xD

Good luck everybody! I love those neon stables ... want them all! :inlove:

My strategy for this event is to go for the neon stables only. I don't need GB and ep and I bet I can make more ccs on the mkt selling the same animals there. The CR is not that good compared to the investment in my opinion.

That will take 1200 chickens, 501 rabbits and 555 goats to get the 3 neon stables, so I'm already done here :p

    Good luck:)

Thanks for the maths, Meba. Easier to see in terms of number of critters needed - but I must complete the whole thing, FOCD compels me! Good for those with limited resources/newer players. To get the "big" prizes, you don't have to break the bank. Just get those chicken, rabbit and goat stables out! xD

    Edit:
That is a very good point too ... it has taken me about five years to work out the market strategy - for instance, buy animals or products if the feed/animals required to raise them cost more! (I have always forgotten to check before!) So I may take the time to look into this aspect this time round. :music:

I won't try to get the CR, my goal is to get the 3 neon stables.

Thank you Illy and Meba for your calculations;)

    Let me calculate for you.

    • Chicken Side
    5000 EV200 chickens
    10000 EV400 chickens
    15000 EV600 chickens
    25000 EV1000 chickens
    35000 EV1400 chickens
    • Rabbit Side
    6000 EV84 rabbits
    12000 EV167 rabbits
    18000 EV250 rabbits
    30000 EV417 rabbits
    42000 EV584 rabbits
    • Goat Side
    7200 EV93 goats
    14400 EV185 goats

    36000 EV462 goats
    50400 EV647 goats
    • Neon Stables Event Cloud Row
45000 EV of chickens, 54000 EV of rabbits, 64800 EV of goats1800 chickens, 750 rabbits, 831 goats

If you want to go for only the neon stables (chicken, rabbit, and goat), it will take 1200 chickens, 501 rabbits, and 555 goats.

If you want to go for all rewards, it will take 5400 chickens, 2252 rabbits, and 2495 goats.

Good luck everyone. May great skips be with you! ;):)

The prize to investment ratios are surprising for this event. The powerfeed prize from the first level, for me, is a really good bargain. Perhaps I read the FAQ wrong, but I think we only get to go for each prize once, progressing in order. But if are we able to choose, hooray, my plan is to stock up on powerfeed.

If anyone's to use any bred animal for fulfilling any of the levels, it's always best to use, when possible, the lowest bred animal, not the one nearest (in EV terms) to the amount requested in that level.

The reason is simple. I'll use chickens as an example:
    level0 (chicken) 25
    level1 (roaster) 700 = 28 chickens
    level2 (silky) 1900 = 76 chickens = 2,71 roasters
    level3 (crazy) 6300 = 252 chickens = 9 roasters = 3,32 silkies
    level4 (gumbo) 20000 = 800 chickens = 28,57 roasters = 10,53 silkies = 3,17 crazy chickens

That is, let's say you need to cover the last level of the Chicken Side, worth 35K EVs. You'll be able to cover it with:
    level0 (chickens) 1400
    level1 (roasters) 50
    level2 (silkies) 18,42 (or 18 + something else)
    level3 (crazy chickens) 5,56 (or 5 + something else)
    level4 (gumboes) 1,75 (or 1 + something else)

Since the EV ratio between two contiguous bred animal levels never nears 4 (the least ratio needed to get indifference, provided you disregard PF needed), then the inefficiency worsens the higher the bred animal you use for covering any requirement.

Though it may seem that the plain animal (level0) would be the best option, in many cases -especially, if you don't have all the animals needed- it may really be better to breed some and aiming at getting the most level1 bred animals possible (that is, roasters, cocoas and speckled goats), for the simple reason skips -during Baby Boom- would guarantee you get the most from the animals you have.

I'll go for everything. Goats are the easiest for me because I have 650+ speckled goats and 450+ black goats. Chickens will be the hardest, and rabbits are mid-way in between. For the last two, I'll breed and use the level1 bred animals I'll get to cover the most possible of all the requirements.

In fact, many who may be thinking now they would be unable to complete the event in full may get surprised they actually can if they follow this level1 bred animal approach.

I have to admit it took me just a minute to get what you're saying, but once the coffee kicked in...:p So, I can use 4 chickens worth 100 EV combined, and breed them into a roaster worth 700. I'd gain 600 EV in one breeding cycle. But, if I go further and use 4 roasters (worth 2800 combined) to breed a silky (worth 1900), then I've lost 900 EV in the process. Got it! Now I just need to come up with a strategy that allows me to hold out for BB day to get those adorable neon stables. I really don't want to wait.:music:

Oh I have to go for this one!! Love those Neon stables :inlove:
I've got plenty of basic animals. I'll be aiming for that first level for donation as given in Aluntino's example. Can't wait for BBD :D

I'm going to try to get some done on my baby farm(JJsFarm)...I've been stocking up on animals but only have about 300 rabbits and goats. Will be growing them non-stop now.

Please bear with me Aluntino, I don't quite understand your reasoning here...

I'll stick to your chicken example. I have just sold most of my colored chickens, leaving 4 gumbos and 15 minis.

Are you really saying just turn in roasters (that was my interpretation), or are you saying that it is no good breeding the roasters to get higher level chickens to turn in? I agree with the latter statement, but the first?

If I am to breed all these roasters during BBD, that will cost me close to 200 PF and 400 chickens. There is no way I am turning in that much PF for only one third of the event o_O

Now if I also consider the market, I can't really tell you what I'll do, because I can't predict the market prices with any certainty at all. But I am sure there are better options than to turn in all roasters.

My plan is to use a mini for step 6 and maybe another one for step 5. A mini has EV 63k, way more than is required for these steps. But there have been minis on sale all day for around 360k in my market. To complete step 6 with roasters you would need 64 of them. So the price of roasters would have to drop below 5600 for roasters to be the cheaper option. Right now the market price here is 16k CC, so 1mill CC in total. (The minis I'll use however were bought a couple of days ago for 180k each, no beating that.)

I'll do some breeding when BBD starts, but only basic animals. Then watch the market to determine what to sell, buy and turn in.

After the last few events I have come to the conclusion that I am a confirmed hoarder - never mind the FOCD!;)

I do see value in Aluntino's advice about not trying to breed for high level animals to complete the event. However, as Mir has pointed out, it will take a lot of PF and base animals to breed only lowest level colored animals.

It is obvious that each farmer will have to carefully consider the amount of PF they can spend, their market values, cache of cc's and the stock of animals they have in order to choose their best route for this event.

I have been buying up commonly used animals/low level colored animals for some time. So my plan is to spend my large stock of base animals, along with low level color animals I have, to get the stables. My preliminary calculations show this is well within my reach! :D

After that I will consider going for the CR - what I might need to breed and/or donate from my smaller stock of high level animals to achieve that goal. I may find the CR too expensive - but I will happily count my blessings with the new stables!:)

Good luck to everyone, and may the path you choose glow neon bright!:D

Hi Everyone.....Here is Tips and Pointers to Neon Stable Event....

    • You can Complete This Event without Doing any Breeding only if you are able or happy to donate 1200 chickens, 501 rabbits, and 555 goats. To Complete All 5 Steps of Chicken Side, Rabbit Side and Goat Side to Get Three Neon Stables
    • 2nd Option: Do a Combined Donations of Breeding Chickens,Breeding Rabbits, Breeding Goats and Chickens, Rabbits and Goats, any Breeding Animals that is Surplus in your Barn
    • I would not go for Entire Donations of Animals of Rabbits,Chickens and Goats as they have already gone up in Price in the Markets The Power Feeds you unlock from The Neon Stable Quest total of 53 Power Feeds I would do some Breeding Best to Breed during Baby Boom !!! As I have already Making loads of CC selling Surplus Chickens, Goats and Rabbits as you can too !!!
    • Make a Plan to what you going to donate to each of the Animal Side 5 Steps that are needed to be Completed, then grow any shortfall of Chickens, Rabbits and Goats and any Breeding Animal Shortfall
    • For This Event it is not worth donating Chickens,Rabbits and Goats or Breeding Animals to Unlock The Cloud Row, as it is not appealing at all this time. The Three Givers place in shipwreck gives more BEP than the Cloud Row. Plus the Use of Buffs and Pets gives more BEP anyway
    • I would take advantage to sell Breeding Chickens.Rabbits and Goats Level 1 to 4 While the Prices are High, Once the Breeding Event Starts these Prices will start to fall. Plus use Proceeds to Buy Higher Value Breeding Animal
    • For Example I sold two Cuddles for 85,000 each total of 170,000 Both Cuddles only give 8,500 EV each but I Brought 1 Scaredy Rabbit for 142,000 CC Which gives me 25,000 EV to be used to Donate towards Rabbit Side quest. This can or May save you loads of Power Feeds this way !!!
    • For Newbies who have little stock of these animals and Required Breeding Animals to Complete this Event I would Grow as Many Animals as you can. The CC Rewards from this Event I would wait until Baby Had Ended buy Gumbo, Scaredy Rabbit and Pygmy Goat when they are cheaper to buy in the Markets or using 53 Power Feeds to Aim to Accquire these get lucky with those Skips
    • If you are going to do any Breeding of Rabbits, Goats and Chickens try avoid using Breeding Animals to get a Higher Value Breeding Animal For Example 4 Cuddles worth 2500 EV each if you got a Trixx it is only worth 8300 EV
    • Those of you have to do some Breeding to complete this Event Breed using Based Animals during Baby Boom donate what you gain do not Re Breed them for Higher EV for Donation
    • If you Follow my Summary and Guidelines you can complete this quest with Little or no Breeding ;)

I have Worked out an Easier Guide about Donation Requirement to Complete First 5 Steps of Chickenside,Rabbitside and Goatside....

Chicken Side (Worth of Chickens/Coloured Chickens)

    • Step 1 = 5000 EV ( 2 Silky + 2 Roasters)
    • Step 2 = 10000 EV (4 Silky + 3 Roasters + 12 Chickens)
    • Step 3 = 15000 EV (2 Crazy Chickens + 3 Roasters + 12 Chickens)
    • Step 4 = 25000 EV (1 Gumbo + 2 Silkys + 2 Roasters)
    • Step 5 = 35000 EV ( 1 Gumbo + 2 Crazy Chickens +3 Roasters + 12 Chickens)
Rabbit Side (Worth of Chickens/Coloured Chickens)

    • Step 1 = 6000 EV ( 2 Cuddles + 1 Cocoa + 2 Rabbits)
    • Step 2 = 12000 EV (4 Cuddles + 2 Cocoa + 4 Rabbits)
    • Step 3 = 18000 EV (1 Trixx + 1 Cocoa + 4 Rabbits)
    • Step 4 = 30000 EV (1 Scaredy + 2 Cuddles)
    • Step 5 = 40000 EV ( 1 Scaredy + 6 Cuddles + 1 Cocoa + 4 Rabbits)
Goat Side (Worth of Goats/Coloured Goats)

      • Step 1 = 5000 EV ( 8 Speckled Goats)
      • Step 2 = 10000 EV (16 Speckled Goats)
      • Step 3 = 15000 EV (2 Angora Goats + 2 Black Goats)
      • Step 4 = 25000 EV (1 Pygmy Goat + 1 Angora Goat + 7 Goats)
      • Step 5 = 35000 EV ( 1 Pygmy Goat + 2 Angora Goat + 3 Black Goats + 1 Speckled Goat + 4 Goats)
As you have postings Based on Animal Donations of each Step of Quest by SillyGuy...This is mostly Based on Breeding Animals I thought it better to have an Easier and Simplar Guide Many newbies read these postings too

    • You will be allowed to Donate Breeding Animals that have Higher Exchange Value than that is required to complete that step as it is a waste of Breeding Animal so Stick to My Guide is makes more Sense and Complete this Event Effectively ;)

Thank you everyone for working out the math and the excellent advice on using colored animals. I understand the logic behind using colored animals that you already have, finally a way to use all those Speckled Goats! I'm not as confident about using powerfeed to get the deposits, I really hate to part with it.

My plan is to grow as many chickens, goats and rabbits as I can, get the first level for all three and then evaluate. I am not buying deposit items from the market any more as the prices are already ridiculous. I wish I had been clever enough to buy colored animals last week, but I'm extremely delighted with knowing I already possess a small fortune in animals and Speckled Goats. If the prices keep going insane, I might just join Farmer Broke and sell for the rest of the event.
