Forum Anniversary!

...Exactly one year ago we were able to start writing in this forum. My first post in the EN forum was at 25 August of 2014. I had never written in the English forum before and I was anxious of the change I made. It was such a relief to see how good all the mods and players were and still are. -edit-
...Writing to the EN forum was a big change, first of all because I had to write in English. It's been a great exercise and I think I have been improved and I have learnt more words. But the most important difference between the Greek forum and the English is that here most of the players are not children but adults. In the start I thought I will also met students here but I met older and wonderful peopleI had an amazing time with all of you this year, mature conversations, well thought strategies, happy memories. I am so happy for meeting you all here in the EN forum. I have made new friends and neighbors. I love learning new things about other countries and civilizations.
...This game is way more interesting and fun if you have other players to share your happy news, questions and even your mistakes Thank for this year! Writing in the forum and talking with all of you was a great experience, a nice break from RL and from school homework
...A strange coincidence is that 26 of August 2010 I joined Farmerama so I have been playing 5 years this game!

What sweet sentiments! You are a very lovely young lady Arielh, and I have so enjoyed getting to know you! I look forward to meeting right here next year and celebrating another year with you and everyone of our friends .
I almost forgot to mention how exciting it has been for4 me to join this forum and play this game~ with people from all over the world, that join me right here in my kitchen each time I log on... I would have never guessed this in a game of any kind. I'm so glad I found it.

Gosh, has a year gone by already. It doesn't seem that long ago that we switched forums. This place is full of amazing people and I am so glad to apart of it.

 

Happy anniversay Ariel, and everyone else here on the new forum! I remember how nervous we all were when it changed over, that it would be a difficult transition, and that everything we loved about the old forum would be no more. While there are still some parts of the old that are missed, by me at any rate (the games section comes to mind), I've had a blast here on the new, and post way more than I ever thought I would, lol. I'm glad for the friends I've made here, I love reading all the funny things people write, I appreciate the closeness this forum shares so that we feel safe in asking for prayers and remembrances and encouraging thoughts, and I love the feeling of community we have here, both between players and with our wonderful, wonderful mods. Here's to another year on the farm and forum, and many, many more! Shall we celebrate in style?

As one who has only been posting a few months, I echo your statements (and those of spotsbox) about this forum. It has been wonderful to meet so many great people and share the fun of this game with everyone.

I remember when you came on board and I thought "Gee, what a motor mouth this Ariel character has"
Then I realized you were trying to become fluent in another language, something that has alluded me.

This forum is great everyone has been so friendly and helpful not just with words but deeds as well. The generosity of the players here is overwhelming at times. Just thinking about that first G&T I took part in and how many farmers helped me to build my farm still can bring a tear to the eye. I love meeting new people, probably comes from living in a rural area where most people know each other. Makes me feel pretty worldly to meet and get to know people all around the globe.

So thanks to every lovely person here that takes the time to post and share themselves and their ideas and strategies. You all make this a very special place that I look forward to visiting daily.
