Some times my mind slips a gear.
I see to a new person it really would not matter, 250 stars or the gB with a little land plots to make them, both just as hard.
I remember now how impossible it seemed to get the stars or bananas, I would have to change then as with the 250 stars I would go for the LL 1st as it takes forever to feed it, by time you feed some levels of it you will get the stars to open the land, wow even more candy to the new to drool for.

For a newcomer in this game, it would be easier to gain 250 stars than 100 golden bananas.
I will provide an overview of the advantages and disadvantages open new lands (The Rainforest) at first time and a good strategy in my opinion.

Say I was a newcomer and only the first rune (blessing of country coins rune) that I have opened in the Tree of Wisdom. I will do some FSQ tasks, full/partial event quests (if possible) and level up = few stars and golden bananas obtained. Slowly I will unlock one by one part of Magical Glade on Tree of Wisdom, until I will have a full part of Magical Glade. For the total costs required to unlock the entire part is 200 stars.

The next rune I headed on is Baharama rune (50 stars required). By the time to time, I could unlock one by one part of Baha Island on Baha Temple.

Still doing some FSQ tasks, full/partial event quests (if possible) and level up = few stars and golden bananas obtained. Say that again I have 250 stars, what would I do?
With 250 stars I could unlock The Rainforest rune or the highest rune I could get is Tools Galore rune. I would tend to prefer unlock The Rainforest rune rather than heading to the top of Tree of Wisdom.

    Pros:
    • More space on Baha = more Tropical EP yielded. More faster and easier to level up when growing tropical animals, crops and trees. And becoming more easier to complete FSQ tasks related on Baha items.
    • More space = more easier to grow event crops if allowed and available.
    • More space = more drops obtained during an event. Since Baha is not bringing the tool drops, it is STILL bringing the event drops.

    Cons:
    • Missed some important runes at first time, such as Growth Boost rune, Customer Service rune, Super mill rune, Market Fairy rune, etc.

Having The Rainforest is not mandatory, but it would make it easier to you to do something else (i.e. saving the Golden Banana and stocking Baha items).
Just a thought !! I really appreciate any different opinions from mine. ;)

Don't know if everyone is aware - and I definitely wasn't - but if you put water towers on Shipwreck Harbour, the water goes into your island water tank. I didn't know this because Illy's Shipwreck Harbour didn't have any room for water towers but I recently moved mine on this farm as I have so much space to fill. I couldn't understand why my water supply wasn't replenished when I harvested them ... till I check on the island. :music:

This is really cool 8) as the water on the island costs twice as much as normal farm water so a water tower costing 250 CCs will very soon pay for itself (12.5 days if you harvest twice a day ... and if you believe my maths!). ;)

Silly, I agree 100% they should finish the Magical Glade first and I agree that the Rainforest should now be a Newbie top priority.

I would open Baha and Rainforest in the tree of Wisdom and 'NOT' use my GB's to open the additional plots on Baha. I would open and use the Rainforest as my main field for awhile, the first 50 levels of Baha will move along very quickly so they can build up GB's to open higher level crops, trees, animals (even a full Rainforest of just Parrots will advance them quickly.) Then when the GB's are coming easier they can be used to open the additional plots on the Baha main field and they will already have good higher level inventory to put there.

When I first opened Baha my strategy was to open one additional plot and ignore the first room's crops, ignore Sugarcane, Passion Fruit etc.
I used my GB to open the second room in order to get Parrots and Monkeys along with Grapes and Banana's to make feed with. Those 4 items gave me quick BEP and lots of extra CC as they both sell well on the market. Now with the Rainforest that same strategy would build up the GB to open the main plots much, much faster.

I really think it comes down to your own playing style and what you want to accomplish. I didn't really start to get anywhere on Baha until I got the beanstalk open and could take advantage of the BEP giving cloud rows I had won from events. In order to do that I needed to breed and those breeding runes had to be opened.

The LL rune is the most optional as it really just makes your life easier not to have to remember to save space and move trophies from field to field. For some people that might not be a problem at all just make it part of your habit. It was a major problem for me and I would constantly forget. Since completing events was a higher priority to me over leveling up on Baha I would still make the choice to go for the LL before I opened the rain forest.

Having that extra land on Baha does not offer much of an increase in drops either unless you already have the long term crops unlocked which are in level 9.

My order would still be to open all the magic glade, Baha, twin breeding runes, LL, rainforest and then the spa. But that's just me. ;)

I had fountains in the Spipwreck Harbour but the water wasn't added to my island water tanko_O, so I just took them out.

I read somewhere <I wish I could give the farm mind credit but I live in the knowledge of past written posts, and well my mind cannot do recall> that you should always look at pirate cove as water towers/seeds can be a bit cheaper, and yep they were right!
You can save coin by waiting a bit. Just a thought.

I opened the Rainforest on the first day it opened on this farm. I had 292 stars saved up for the LL rune. I think I made a good choice. I was at level 43(baha) I'm now at level 50 and have managed to collect back up to 237 stars. I just finished off Opening Gala 1.
Now I'm being tempted to open the spa but will hold out for the LL rune. I'm so tired of moving those trophies :sleepy:
I won the 100% Harvest reward on the wheel and that will allow me to finish all event crops tonight. :D

This farm has no premium, so upgrading the water tower and poo pile is a must.

@Arielh, I just recently opened Shipwreck Bay & moved some water tanks from the park to Shipwreck. The water has been going to my Baha island water tank. :music:
Maybe something has changed since you tried it. ;)

dafodily, it will add them and then later subtract the water from the Baha tank. (I observed it carefully over a period of time before coming to this conclusion.)

EDIT: As stated below, it has been fixed! :)

@Noelle20001 harvested water tanks last night & water was still there the next morning & used it to water crops on Baha. I think BP may have changed/fixed it or they would simply not allow the water tanks on Shipwreck Bay like they do on Baha. Otherwise it makes no sense for BP to allow the water to go to Baha water tank then take it back.

I tried the water tanks on shipwreck. Like for dafodily, the water went to the Baha tank and it was still there after I refreshed (even new log in). I tried both collecting the water by hand and using the harvester.

Come to think of it, I didn't try to use the water. When did the water disappear for you Noelle?

Edit: Hi Noelle, I just found this :) It used to be the way you described, but it was changed so that water tanks on shipwreck bay now give island water :)

Thanks Mir! (I will take your word on the translation. :p )

I will have to try it. Funny, I don't remember seeing anything in the English OAs about it.

Nice tip on the water tanks. I have premium, but when it expires, I will need it!

One thing.. I cannot agree more with those saying to open the rainforest, pretty much after opening up the magic glade. Even when you only have a few crops and parrots, the additional BEP adds up VERY quickly! Getting stars is definitely quicker than getting BEP/golden bananas, and does not take away from opening the rest of Baha or getting additional crops. The disadvantage is that it slows down your other star priorities (basically, racing to the top of the tree so you don't have to keep moving your trophies around to increase drops). However, we now have several quests that give plenty of stars and many events seem to stack them up as well.

Anyway, I am now past the point of needing either... I have all the baha chambers open, and am just going through the lesser priority tree of wisdom runes (leaving a "base" of about 200 stars -- after that, its "all gravy" and might as well open everything). At this rate, I may even open up the Alchemist trade!

I agree with opening the rainforest woody.

The cloud rows help with BEP too. I'm getting about 300,000 baha eps every 30 hours from my cloud rows.

Yes The Rainforest does help get lots more Baha EP from growing Animal Pens, Crops, Products or Even Growing Baha EP Givers for those who have Shipwreck already full.....

For Newbies it is easier to gain stars to unlock the Rainforest than it is to unlock Shipwreck, Plus Any Buffs that boost Baha EP is a Bonus to help get Baha EP in the Rainforest.....

Cassie101 that is lots a Baha EP from Cloud Rows...it is huge get to Gain 5 GB Every Time to Level up the Island....;)

This farm primarily produces animals and this includes Baha and the rain forest. Both Baha and the rain forest have 41 2x2 plots each for a total of 82. If producing animals continuously and harvesting on time, the Baha mill cannot keep up with the production of animals. Sure one can put out a few of this that and the other animal only to be reducing ones total supply of feed if harvesting near to time completion. Thus far this farm has not run to crops or trees in order to wait on the mill. It has purchased animal feed on the market shortly after the rain forest was available.

For a long period I would not even run the Baha mill as feed was cheaper to buy than to mill. This is not true today and I recommend keeping the Baha mill turning 24/7. (And anaconda feed production remains an expensive undertaking.)

Today I find no use for this farm unlocking Shipwreck Bay.

Surely the sooner one is able to unlock the rain forest the more efficient ones Baha activities come.

I did it mostly as a goal, but I seem to remember getting quite a few BEP and so forth just from the quests. You have probably looked at all that, but I think your goals might differ from many.

I despair of ever earning enough GBs to get anywhere. I currently have 2 golden bananas, and I still need ginger (32gb), moringa (40gb), and Laura Craft (30gb) before I can even think about extra trees (acai, pitomba, goji). That's 102gb, which is 20 more levels and I'm already at level 206!

Any thoughts on whether I should go for ginger (I could then do Island Cosmetics FSQ) or Laura Craft?

And then there's the breeding if I'm ever to finish Castles in the Sand FSQ. I only have monkeys open ...

    *weeps in frustration* :cry:xD
