First impression? Like the graphics, always outstanding!
I like the idea of a group goal, but like all new things, we will have to see how it actually works (kudos on thew new ideas, regardless -- not all seemingly great ideas wind up panning out, but you never know until its tried!) Can we donate above the personal requirements, for example?

As for how this compares to the "standard" breeding intro quest? I will leave that analysis to others.

EDIT.. a tad disappointed that there are no stars offered, but its not a "deal breaker". REALLY appreciate that you are adding a Babyboom immediately! And for once, it matches my time schedule! (yeah!)

EDIT (after event complete) waited until the end to add my final remarks. I still agree with my original comments. I have no real issue with an event for higher level players, though it might have been nice for lower level folks if you had a paired event just for them. Of course, setting the bar high gives people incentive to move up, though getting to 73 quickly is rather difficult unless one is pretty close.

We did wind up getting the cloud row, but not until the end. That seems to mean the amounts requested were reasonable, though quite a few people did well over-donate. (that is, they donated much more than their "share") I definitely liked that fact that our original personal donation amounts contributed toward the group total I also like that the team is doing different things. (though I like the oldies, too)

    Hello woody :)

Thank you for your feedback and question. The Global quests / tasks used to be popular years ago, there have been many quests that involved global donations. Basically, the personal quest needs lower amounts of beavers & coloured beavers, and it will count only your progress, the amounts you donate to the event. The Global donations will count the donations made by all the players from all the communities. The amounts donated by you for the Global task will be counted to all the other player's Global progress. For example, if 10 000 players donate each 1 albino beaver worth 2500, the Global task for all the Farmerama players (over level 73) will show 25 000 000 donation value (of 10 000 albino beavers, together, all coming from different players).

I hope this makes sense  .
    Best regards,

Thank you Teddy, that is a lot clearer! This is my first experience with global donations, that I can remember. I do like the idea!

First impression, love the graphics, the new coloured beavers, and the concept of a global goal. I am disappointed to hear that the personal progress of each player isn't added to the global pool. I don't understand why in the global tasks there is a fourth giver that needs to be earned before the cloud row task, even though it is not part of the cloud row and I am really disappointed that the cloud row only gives EP/BEP. If I understand this concept correctly the global prizes are only attained if the global community, instead of, or in addition to, doing the personal steps and the quest, or just selling for lots of ccs, will be willing to give to maybe, maybe attain all five levels. I would have expected a nice twist, maybe a new buff for the cloudrow, something that would energize everyone to do this to attain something unique. I am very appreciative at how fast this will be to do, the event starts with a baby boom and it is just breed and donate. It is very nice to have a break from drops and event crops. I think the success of the event will hinge on how high the percentage of skips during baby boom turns out to be for this event. I am hopeful that there will be another baby boom on the weekend for those who will have trouble participating tomorrow. Thank you so much for doing something new and inventive.

My first impression of the event mechanics is very good :) If the global goal is realistic I think it will be a fun event. The standard breeding event that has accompanied every new breeding animal for as long as I can remember was getting a bit dull. I like that the donations are based on exchange value and that regular beavers are also allowed, this gives a good flexibility and goes well with the random nature of breeding results in my opinion. I like that the personal donation count towards the global progress while still giving prizes on its own. I also like that you have to fill the personal goals to be eligible for the global prizes. Hopefully enough players will participate so that we don't have to donate more than the personal goals to reach the global goal.

I like some of the rewards: it is a nice amount of PF and it is good to see level dependent CC and EP. I love that we get an item besides the cloud row, it is even a very good 10 hour item :inlove: But, why a cloud row? :sleepy: and more to the point: why no stable/workshop upgrades? We get cloud rows that give EP/BEP with almost every event, I think some variation is good. For me the main attraction of the new breeding animal events have been the upgrades. I am a big fan of colored stalls and have appreciated the opportunity to get a couple of the new ones from the events. I do think this will be a good event with good rewards, but it would have been even better with colored upgrades.

I am very happy to see regular beavers allowed along with colored ones! :)This will really help players challenged by power feed issues. The prizes are nice, although I am sad a color upgrade isn't among them. The color beaver names and graphics are very good!

The questionable part is the global donation. I have seen this fail badly in the past, so I hope the mechanics have been set to reasonable levels. If global progress is obvious, then I believe players will be willing to continue donating.

I was liking the new items added to cloud rows, I have to use a bit more planning as to what I activate as to what my farm is doing. The added lands on the island now has me looking forward to a whole new area, getting the trees to line up with them cloud rows it adds to the fun.
I really thought the game would continue on this line with the new quests, adding more to the cloud rows and making farming a real one area works with the clouds and when done together you can add buffs to get more making you really work the whole farm as one.
So a bit of a let down when nothing is added, nothing to go all out for, those neon's really made me work it, the added sweet to the trees for a set time makes it a game to work at more not just click here go away come back rise repeat.

Am I reading this right? If I donate an albino Beaver (or what I have): It would count toward the Global level and I would be included in the gift pool for say..a log rolling? is that how it's going to work?
Is there a progress bar that we could watch for? I'm still trying to get the gist of this.
Thanks Mir85 now I get it.
I put in some albino beavers and 50 regular ones yesterday, so I'll put in 10 a day is that resonable? I'm not sure of what amounts I should be giving whether it's alot or piddly.
How is everyone else doing with this event?

Hi saturnia :) All beavers donated, colored or regular, goes towards the global progress. To get the "log rolling" item, you must have completed the three first personal steps, and the third global goal must be reached. If all 4 global goals are reached, everyone will get the prizes they have unlocked with their personal progress. So to have a chance to get all prizes you must complete the 4 personal goals, and hope the global goals are reached as well. For each personal step there is a circular progress bar and to the left there is a global progress bar.

    ------------

I forgot to say that I think the personal requirements seem to be very reasonable, but I wouldn't have minded higher requirements for orange (or better :p) upgrades as rewards.

I just wish breeding quests were a little more accessible. And by that I mean that without power feed, you can't participate, and that's the hardest stuff to acquire. 9 hours to produce ONE unit in the mill, and you can't buy it anywhere except with real money, which many of us don't have to spend on virtual objects. So I depend on random gifts from the prize wheel or completing a quest, pretty much, and I rarely have much to use. I'm kind of at the point where I go 'Oh, another breeding event I won't get anywhere close to completing,' and while I do participate, it's not all that engaging right now.

I like that the personal requirements seem to be reasonable and can be done without any breeding or PF if one wishes to do so and the amount of PF as a reward. I like the new mechanism too as something different. I will reserve an opinion on the global part as my experience with global events is that they have never been achieved. I do hope this one will (can) be.

So far, the drawbacks I see to this event is lack of stars-- this is the 2nd event with no stars right after the introduction of the Rainforest. I don't need stars on this farm so it is not a problem but others are still collecting stars for Tree of Wisdom. The biggest drawback to this event for me is the lack of colored upgrades for both the stable and workshop.

As a breeding quest I find the rewards disappointing. I really enjoy getting the coloured upgrades, it makes donating my coloured beavers seem worth it. I like the mechanism - something a tad different, but overall this one just fell flat for me sorry.

It would be nice to be able to see the actual amount of donations on the global progress bar rather than just the green bar. As we get closer to the end of the event, it will be useful to know how close or far we are so we can individually (and as a community) discuss how we can meet the global goal. As it is now, there is no way to know.

I don't think I'll be participating much in this event, if at all, since I don't really find the rewards worth the effort. Beaver is a high level animal that takes forever to produce, PF is hard to come by if you don't use real money and while we do get some PF back as reward it just almost seems like a zero sum game except you actually lose PF in return for a CAC and some pheromones you could just buy in the market. I find the pheromones as a reward to be a bit insulting really, at level 73 I think most of us can easily afford 60 pheromones.

Basically this event asks us to sacrifice a ton of expensive and time consuming animals AND lots of PF and in return we get stuff that can be bought in the market or that we get in drops anyway (I mean, XL toolboxes? Couldn't it at least have been XXL?). And at level 73 I think most people have figured out how to make enough CC to pay for those market items. I agree with what others have said, there should've been coloured upgrades (if there had been say a red, pink or neon upgrade for sawmills I would've been all over this).

As for the global quest - I've played Farmerama off and on since the game started and those things rarely end well.

I finished the personal goals...like others I'm scared to donate right now to the global.

Disappointed that there was no stable upgrades(which I had to do on my own and it took away breeding Beavers from this event).

    Hi!

    Likes:
    - A new mechanic for introducing breeding animals
    - BBD the first day of the event.

    Dislikes:
    - No orange stables as rewards. These are the main draw for me to complete breeding quests.
    - We can't see how much value has been donated to the global progress, which makes it difficult to decide whether or not to donate after completing the personal goals.
    - Poor skips. I have so far bred 5 rounds of 28 (main field) and 13 (Baha) breeding pens (chickens, beavers, rabbits, goats). Of those my highest skip has been to the 4th colored level. I seem to recall that in the past I would get higher skips, maybe 1 every full round or 2.

Overall: nice job trying to mix things up a bit, but the cons (especially the inability to see the #'s for global progress) outweigh the pros.

I've enjoyed this event. Especially the Baby Boom that came along with it! After getting three of the largest baskets, I was able to finish the personal portion plus I have all of the new permanent Beaver challenge completed except the last one which is Encino Beaver. My current Beaver count is: 8 regular beavers 8 albinos 11 lumberjack 6 Dentist 6 Mountie beavers 3 beavi graf 4 trapper beaver and 2 scuba beaver. My neighbors received 30 powerfeeds when I purchased the three baskets which cost $18.79 each ..each gave me 800 powerfeeds. I started with 1570 powerfeeds before purchasing the baskets and did breed all my other animals as well today. Yep fingers are all clicked out! hehe Now I have my fields full of Beaver stalls and I hope to sell some before this quest ends. So much fun! Thanks Bigpoint!!!! this was/is a fun quest!

I will just add my voice in agreement to what has already been said. Like the format but dislike not getting any colored stables/workshops. The EP givers are OK but I would be willing to put forth much more effort (PF) for a red/pink or neon stall or workshop than yet another cloud row.

Also we really should be able to see the actual number for the global donation progress not just a vague line where we have to guess at it.
